Sool and sanaag are integral part of somaliland. Qurbajoog can throw parties and farmaajo  groupies canhave wet dreams at the end of the day Somaliland rules these lands  dhulka anaga iska leh. Carke wa ninka is dhaqaajiiya

What if the Harti decide to join Somalia? Would they be told to leave the land and enter Puntland or allowed to form their own state. Serious question.

  2. Gooni, the proof is in the pudding. Barre relied on AID income from western countries. There was no real economy. Barre destroyed private enterprise with his socialism madness. Barre was not about sharing but enriching himself and his inner circle. The economic record of socialist Somalia is plain for all to see.

If Barre had access to Billions of $$ of oil money, only Allah know what he would have done to the minority clans.

So, what would does have today with his clan? Much like any other, dictator, he employed his immediate family and cronies. It's called patronage.

The point is the Somali Republic was suppose to be a merit base society that would allowed people from all walks of life to rise and fulfill their potential. The darood decided to turn it into a patronage and then open warfare against the nonconformist.

will forever silence those self-hating Soomaalis who used poor excuses like what she has done for Soomaaliya in order to smear her.

We voiced our opinions about her, which does not mean we have nefarious intent when doing so. Somalis have to learn to distinguish between opinion and fact.

How low has Africa fallen. Every Farah is now setting up face book political party and lobbying some country. No body wants to work with people on the ground.

If one has a connected friend in UK, the whole foreign office will decide something.

Its happening in Ethiopia. Some groups that are not ready or know already they will not win much, asking America and EU to delay the election.

     Somalis are a selfish lot.

It's not about what Farmaajo wants but Ì  am not sure how another tribal entity will do anything better. Somaliland and Puntland are barely functioning.

I think with the tension between Somaliland and Puntland a Northeast state may give the people caught in the middle of this struggle a break. The Harti live in this region and do not trust Somaliland or Puntland.

  7. Articule from the African inteligence website.

The Somalian president Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed Farmajo is doing everything it takes to hold on to power. On 10 December, he invited his most loyal MPs to the Villa Somalia to elaborate with them a parliamentary delaying strategy to block the holding of a general election in 2020. As James Swan, the UN representative in Somalia, pointed out on 21 November during a briefing to the Security Council, parliament needs to pass the electoral code and adopt amendments to the political parties' law before the end of this year. ‘Any delay in this timeline puts the 2020 electoral calendar at risk', he stated. Farmajo is also trying to further undermine the federal states, with which Mogadishu has a fraught relationship. To this end, he asked Somalia's ambassador to Ethiopia Adihakim Abdullahi Amey who is from the Sool region and previously served as vice president of Puntland, to meet Turkey's special envoy responsible for mediation between Somalia and Somaliland, Olgar Bekar, on 6 December in Addis Ababa. Under discussion is the creation of a new federal state called Northeast (to the west of Puntland), which would encroach upon Somaliland soil according to a map which the Indian Ocean Newsletter has procured

We need to take these books to every corner of the country. Are these book also available in Hargeisa and other areas of the country?

😂...they have their own books, i have seen it with my own eyes. Somaliland schooling is one of the bright spot of Somaliland. With further investment the university level can be world class.

It is good to learn that you are not a gaal (God forbid), so tell us what is your problem with Islam? The philosophy thing you mentioned above does make much sense to me. When disbelievers and sinners are burned in hell they will turn into a dark mess- a human charcoal, and not into shinny orange Donald Trumps.

I like to keep my faith private and not force my view on others.

Could you be more specific because what you have written here is just like the countless YouTube troll comments in any Islam related video?

The most influential figure was the philosopher Abu Hamid al-Ghazali, who argued in The Incoherence of the Philosophers against the very idea of laws of nature, on the ground that any such laws would put God’s hands in chains. According to al-Ghazali, a piece of cotton placed in a flame does not darken and smoulder because of the heat, but because God wants it to darken and smoulder. After al-Ghazali, there was no more science worth mentioning in Islamic countries.

In Somaliland, the parliament extended their term for  fifth time, adding two more years since 2005. Can you imagine elections postponed for ten years without credible reasons.
