  3. We all know how Arsenal went a whole season without losing a single match but I wonder how many of us actually know that there are two teams in Africa who gone beyond 49 games without a single defeat.

Asec Mimosa of Ivory Coast went through a whole 108 game without losing a single match from 1988-94 and then there is Zamalek of Egypt who forgot how to lose a match starting way back from 2002-?

Last weekend they managed to hit the 52 marks of unbeaten matches and I believe it is a fitting triumph for arguably the greatest African team.

Zamalek is the most successful team in Africa and they are our answer to Real Madrid and it is an honour to have watched them play a competitive match when they came to Kenya few years back with all their super stars the likes of Ahmed Elkass, Hazem Imam etc to play against Gormahia in African Champions League.

    Peace.

  4. Nairobi - A Kenyan street boy emerged five thousand dollars richer this week after stumbling across a local radio station's top treasure hunt prize while relieving himself in a Nairobi park.

and if it wasn't for the honesty of a passerby student, the homeless and barely literate Evans Maina, 17,would have thought his windfall was limited to the small gold-coloured box -- perfect for keeping stuff in - he found nestled between the forks of a cactus, and the mysterious sheet of paper inside.

The document, the unnamed student explained to Maina, declared the bearer to be the winner of 400 000 shillings (about $5 000), a cash prize that had been frantically sought by Nairobi residents for weeks.

"When he brought the voucher, we believed him. He was excited and shocked," KISS 100 FM official Amar Vipyarthi told AFP.

"We will definitely give him his prize and it's up to him to choose how best to spend the money," Vipyarthi added.

Maina's first thoughts were for his mother, who works as a housemaid in Nairobi.

"I want my mother to have a good life, buy a piece of land and build rental houses," Maina told the Standard.

Allah (SW) is just indeed to every one.

    Peace.

  7. Nime_Sahawu

    Ume Sahawu Jinalako Nini?LoooooL,

I agree Titi can sometimes be the most arrogant player on the planet but you can't dislike him for dishing out some of his talents unless you are the opposition :D .

Come on,even the great players in the past were arrogant and I believe that is what made them stand out from their peers.

What do you call Zizou or Roanldinho or even the great Maradona, artists? :D ..LoooooooL.

in today's game where the majority of the players are just average players we shouldn't put down the few that are genuinely talented instead we should salute them and in my opinion Thierry is very much part of that elite or the dying breed if you may. ;)

how many real and genuine ball players are there in the world today? Exactly, so let us cherish the Henrys, the Ronaldinhos and Zidanes of this world while we still can.

In my opinion Thierry Henry is by far the most talented player to ever play in the premier league, just look at the goals he scores, they are simply and absolutely sheer magic.

whenever he's playing in Highbury Titi is a joy to watch and I think you'd agree with me when I say against Utd we see two entirely different sides of this magician known as Va Voom because in Highbury he always seems to score some of the greatest goals you have ever seen against Utd so i guess we can afford to forgive him for not winning the match for us at Old Trafford because i am sure he will make them pay when they come to Highbury. ;)

P.S by the way Monsieur Wenger is right when he called the referee and Nistelrooy CHEATS because that is exactly what they are and like he said VE WAZ ROBBED. :D:D:D .

    Peace.

  8. I believe Bush is going to win again which means more death and destruction around the globe and more humiliation and suffocation for our Muslim brothers and sisters all around the world.

my fellow Somali brothers and Sisters just make sure you don't vote for that fool and be responsible for the unjust and cruel death of your fellow Muslim brothers and Sisters, make sure you do the right thing Brothers and Sisters.

    Peace.

  9. Sidai - A pregnant Nigerian teenager will appear before an Islamic court on Wednesday to plead for her life after she was convicted of adultery and sentenced to be stoned to death.

"I swear by the Holy Koran I never slept with any man but Dauda and He promised to marry me," a terrified 18-year-old Hajara Ibrahim said, choking back tears running down her cheeks scarred with Fulani tribal marks.

Hajara is the latest young woman to be swept up into northern Nigeria's stumbling five-year-old attempt gradually to replace the vast region's poorly administered secular criminal justice system with Islam's strict Sharia law.

Nobody has yet been stoned, but dozens have been sentenced to death, and in Hajara's native Bauchi State alone five men and women convicted of various sexual offences are waiting for a chance to appeal their punishment.

    Marriage was never consummated:

Hajara's case has been taken up by human rights lawyers and she has plausible grounds for appeal since her marriage was never consummated, her relationship with her boyfriend Dauda ought not to be considered adultery.

The appeal has given Hajara more hope, but the tears still flowed as she told how she came to lose her husband and her boyfriend and end up back home, seven months pregnant and with a death sentence over her head.

She was promised to a man in a city two states and 220km away, but instead fell for a local boy, Dauda Sani.

"I was married to a man in Lafia, but before I moved into his house Dauda came with the promise to marry me which made me insist on dissolving the marriage," Ibrahim said, dabbing her eyes with the edge of her veil.

"After he promised to marry me, I submitted myself to him and this is the result," she explained, patting her womb, the heavy bulge clear through her modest robe because of her short stature.

It could be the sad story of an unexpected teenage pregnancy anywhere in the world, but in northern Nigeria the sequence of events is crucial.

    Conviction of fornication is better:

If the court decides that Hajara had been married to the man from Lafia before she had sex with Dauda - irrespective whether or not she was divorced - then she is guilty of adultery and must be stoned to death.

If, on the other hand, she can be considered an unmarried virgin then she is guilty simply of fornication and could escape with 100 lashes of a cane.

"Being married is not enough. The marriage has to be consummated before an extra-marital affair becomes adultery. That is what Islam prescribes," said Hajara's 44-year-old father, Ibrahim Auta Iman, an Arabic teacher.

Whatever Hajara's eventual fate, her former lover has nothing to fear but his conscience. When he was accused of being the father of the young woman's child Dauda denied ever having had relations with her.

P.S May the Good Lord Guide Us All Through The Right Path. Aamiin Ya Allah.

  14. The soft sand of my Motherland

    swallowed my painful tears

I carry my grief deep inside me

    behind my fragile baby flesh

and beyond my jaded adult eyes

my pain & sorrow relate to each other

I've never been a child nor had a childhood

the noisy lullaby of the bullets flying by

keep me awake all night long

i dream of my lost innocence

despise my naughty and benevolent ways

I close my eyes and dream of running away

escaping from my pain and nightmares

the lost years of an innocent little child

through the war I lost all my friends

and all my dreams and ambitions just faded

    standing here fearing of

all the things that are unseen

the day they decided to caution me

from the aging ways of the painful reality

cutting the same hands that feed me

hoping the blood will lead me

to the desert end of my long journey.

  15. Her Last Words.

Do you ever get that feeling

    like there is nothing inside

like you just can't be dealing

just want to run and hide

this pain is too much to be feeling

why the hell am I feeling this way?

this wound wont ever be sealing

i just want to smile again

    loneliness follows me

    haunts and swallows me whole

    it hollows my battered soul

    pain has taken its toll

this is not my role to fill

in the darkness fear of the kill

not to die screaming is a thrill

echoes through the darkness bring tranquillity.

Me envying Baseball? Are you kidding me?

If I was into Baseball, do you think I would have a Supersport, the channel of champions, a dedicated 24 hour soccer channel ?

I love my football Sxb, by the way it is football not soccer sawa and only God knows why they call Football in what they play in NFL because I am sure that is not a Football maybe it's Soccer while we play Football.

    Hola 7.

  17. If I were him I would worry about my performance on the pitch rather than off it because it is on the pitch where I earn ridiculous amount of money and not off it, besides there will always be ready, willing and able groupies who don't care about your performance, actually sharing a bed with you is far more greater and rewarding to them rather than your performance under the sack so why bother?

Mutu, should learn from Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Kluivert the most notorious womanisers in the world of football today and you've never heard them complaining did you?

There was a major scandal, which happened in Bilbao before Kluivert left Barca, he and Ronaldinho had a marathon of.....

it's Ramadan so I better stop it there before i get carried away, anyway you get the picture, don't you?

    Peace.

  18. Shayma,

it's good to know that you are a Gunner  .

apart from the ref, i was bitterly disappointed in Henry's performance and I say this with regret, I think our number 14 and our main man is scared to play in Old Trafford against Utd players.

it is a question worth asking, why does he always seem to have his worst game when he is only playing against Utd in Old Trafford?

These sort of games are the games a player in his calibre should cherish and stand up and be counted because how is he going to be seen as our main man if he lets us down when he we need him most?

Henry de monsieur, j'étais verymuch a déçu dans vous mon cher ami et vous laissez chaque ventilateur d'Arsenal autour du globe en bas. :(

    Peace.

  19. I'm trying to build a city of love

my Queen you are my foundation

    towers stand of admiration

    I use that as motivation

    visualize mountain peaks

our hearts can reach that elevation

as long as trust is the path

that unifies our young and innocent hearts

we aren't promised sunny days Malaika

but Queen the sky's looking clear

    eventually its going to rain

    hopefully love will persevere

    ignorant men seldom listen to

what their woman's hearts are revealing

I press my ear against your chest

so I can hear what yours is feeling

trying to see what's on your mind

    tap your wells of intellect

taking long drinks of what I find

    Love's important Sweetness

i know you think i am Crazy

but i am only crazy for and about you

I'm smart enough to know it's not enough

to make something last over time

that path is going to get rough

but you are my one and only Queen

without you I don't think I can breathe

so I inhale deep breaths of you

    praying that you'll never leave

to please you,I swear to almighty

I'd shower you with material wealth

but what's the price of love?

so I'd rather shower you with myself

an emotion symbolized by more than

    an exchange of wedding bands

hand in had on route to our

    personal and promised Heaven.

    That's LOVE My Queen.

Hold On To Our Love My Beloved and Never Let It Go For We Are Almost There. smile.gif .

  20. The elders of Somalia are

    perishing and losing their knowledge

What's worse is that the youth decrease

    their enrollment in schools

everyday we turn on the news

    viewing the Iraq death tolls

while ignoring what's happening in our land

    not realizing actuality,our minds

are flooded with gross reality shows

in ways we are helpless so we follow

    along with the culture flow

if we ever get a sense of knowledge

we are hated for speaking up

    censorship makes us believe

    its a happy world,yet instead

    it's passed when kids gather

to watch a guy get executed

    teens getting killed off rapidly

    idiotic newscasters like BBC rejoice

Solution: throw the blame of violence

on your parents for deceiving you

    academic skills crashing

    because of popularity and looks

funny how a kid will commit a murder

    before ever hitting the books

schools aren't safe place to reside anymore

and you can't study without getting harrassed

yet parents still send their kids

to school to learn not how to read & write

but how to cock a machine gun and fire

before ever asking them what they learned

We love Somalia..no doubt about that

even without the freedom of speech

but when guns bust, we ask

Somalia why dont you love us?

    we are your beloved Children

we are your last hope for

we are the kids of today but

    the leaders of tomorrow.

    GOD BLESS SOMALIA.

Dhagarqabuhu markii uu hadalka dhammeeyey lacagtiina miiska shaaha dul dhigay waa kaa sidii wax aan noolayn kursiga iska dul saaran oo dhawaaq iyo dhaqaaq laguma oga. Indhaha wuu kala hayaa haddana waxay eegayaan waxba. Wuxuu magan ama lahayste u yahay qaddarka uu isu dhiibay.

Goor dambe ayuu ninkii martida loo ahaa kacay oo qolkiisa galay, wuxuuna la soo noqday AK dabalaab ah. Intii uu la soo socday wuu cabbeeyey waxaana ka soo baxay dhawaaq argagax leh oo nafta u daran. Markaas ayey reerka inta kale gudaha u yaaceen oo dhegaha faraha wada gashadeen. Kursigii uu ka kacay dhabarkiisa ayuu isa soo taagay, wuxuuna qorigii cabbaysnaa si miiggan madaxa ugaga liishaamay ninkii kursiga yaxoobay oo aan far dhaqaajin.

Far ma dhaqaajin ee sidii uu gam’ay ayuu madaxa iyo qoorta hoos u laallaadiyey, indhahana wuxuu ku beegay labadiisa kabood ee cadcad. Haddii uu aragga kor u yar qaadi lahaa wuxuu arki lahaa daloolka madow ee dhuunta qoriga oo u eg waddada aakhiro loo maro ama wadku soo maro. Aad ayuu xaaladdan naftiisa ugu soo diyaariyey, tababar dheer ayuuna u soo qaatay, sidaa darteed daqiiqaddan waxba kama uu fekerayn.

Waxaa saarnaa uun culays buur ka daran. Ma baqdin baa? Wuxuu sugayaa oo keliya in ay xabbadi kursiga dhanka ay doonto uga tuurto. Haddii ay naftu degdeg uga bixi waydana ka toogtay xoolo ma ah ee mid kale ayuu ku khaarajin. Khalaas, waa intaas uun. Markaa ka dib waxa uu la kulmi doono ama la kulmi doonin qayrkii ayuu la qabaa. Laakiin xabbadda baas maxay soo raagtay! Mise isaga ayaa raagsaday? Ma qiyaastii waqti ayaa ka luntay?
