Premier Rooble should know that he has a very narrow window to hold the election and then retire to the sunset. THey don't four or fourty days to bring those selected as members of parliament in a big hall and count the votes openly. There is no security issues to manage or to order things around these remaining five weeks before the election. Rooble isn't the commander in chief of the army and there are no constitutional routes to transfer that power to him. What is he thinking?Furthermore, it seems Somalia has passed the time where leaders will use the security apparatus at their whims. Neither the people of Mogadishu nor the Somali people at large will accept any reckless moves from Farmaajo or Rooble. The security is managed by police and military commanders who has shown great responsibility and neutrality. Rppble doesn't need to interfere with this. The so called " Badbaado Qaran" has nothing to save and not needed at moment. The people of Mogadishu are going about their business. Rooble should know he is a lame duck premier with zero powers . The only way forward to clear the air and bring stability is the election. Firing the intelligence chief, putting his men in defence and security ministers, what is Rooble up to? is he showing his power? Is he preparing to use force if his prefered candidate loses the election? I don't get it. I would suggest to president Farmaajo to act as the father of the nation and sit down with Rooble as two mature adults and find a way out of this mess .Farmaajo also should know that he is part of the problem now and must change course. If C/laahi Deni thinks he could prolong the misery by backing Rooble, he is mistaken and will be a dead duck in the coming election. The Somali people will not forgive those who play games for their future. He already lost to the Dayaano boys in Boosaaso and this Rooble cave talks will seal his deal.

Have you seen the constant tweets of those two (Rashid Abdi and Matt Bryden) during the Tigray war?. Rashis said Ethiopian cabinet ministers were booking flight to escape from Addis. THese paid hacks will be unemployed if Somalia becomes stable. I think this writer summed up everything with few words. That is real indebt unalysis that should put these guys out work.

This is what happens when you let crazies ran the asylum

The safety and security of Somalia are in the hands of a 30 years old criminal who built his wealth by looted relief aid from the poor. The next logical step should be for the cabinet to resign as a whole to stop this power grab. Every region should nominate their members of parliament quickly and hold the elections before total colapse. Why the Americans always like chaos? -
Rooble said he want elections, right? Well he he will be getting one soon. Also, those so called international community must push for a quick election. The problem is Rooble has no where to hide. THe seats that have been already elected will not be contested. If every region elects its members for the next few weeks, we got an election. In fact, it is Hassan Sheikh who wants the election process to stop. wax laga doodo ma hadhin.

What these people don't understand is that president Farmaajo isn't in a trsnsitional government. He is the elected leader of the federal government of Somalia. He will leave office if he loses the election. No other ways. In fact, it is Farmaajo who is sending UN envoys, undesirable Amisom officer and others to their homes packing. He is the one forcing others to leave Somalia. WE all know that the hungry kid, Rooble was disptached from Djibouti to create new crises to open the door for Americans and others to create chaos as usual. News flash for all spoilers including USA: Farmaajo is ready for the election win or lose. Are you guys ready to face him? Biixi is barking from Hargeisa, Omar Geelle is desperate, and Kenya is worried.

Che, it isn't only waned, but the American diplomatic establishment has lost both its prestiege and ears on the ground. Public opinioun is the foundation of foreign policy. THey have zero idea of what is going on in other countries. Have you seen Anthony Blienken, the secratary of state asking Kenya to help both the Ethiopian civil war and Somali elections? Yesterday, Dina Mufti, the Ethiopian foreign ministery spokesman said" “Instead of taking matters that concern Ethiopia to third parties, we invite the U.S. and other countries to engage with us directly.

Exactly. Cheif of staff of Rooble: Farmaajo suspended you and we are out of job. Rooble: that is unacceptble, what should we do? Counselor: topple Farmaajo in a coup and make youself the president and accuse him of making a coup. Rooble: I can't do that while he is sitting in villa-Somalia Counselor: Why don't you ask uncle Cabdi Qaybdiid for help to mobolize ? Rooble: Yes., but before we do that, I will remove his pictures from all the walls of the government offices. Give that picture, I want to crush and stop on it, oooooh. Counselor: Easy Mr. premier, becareful of the glass. Rooble: get that fool called Cadaalla from the national TV. I want to record a messege to the public. Conselor: Not now. Wait for a day or few hours. Rooble Why? Counselor: because you seem to be nervous and you are shaking. Rooble: I don't care.

Farmaajo uma baahna badbaado. Ninkii u shalay magacaabay ayuu kalsoonidii kala noqday. Waa arrin siyaasadeed oo xal siyaasiya u baahan. Of course, some of his moves are ugly and incoherent, yet this is probably how the Mogadishu game is played. Like Gooni said, Farmaajo has nothing to do with dictatorship. In fact, he is the only Somali leader asking for one man one vote. Farmaajo ha la ila tartamo ayuu yishi. Su'aasha meesha taal waxa weeye, " yaa cod siinaya C/rahman Ina Shakuur? no one. By the way the people of Mogadishu have sick and tired of criminals and pretenders who write 1991 on camels. In fact, a freind of mine talked to day a HAG man based in Mogadishu, and he said: "Sobob aanu Muqdishu dagaal uga ridnaa haba yaraate ma jiro. Areey ma nin Tuug ah ayaan dalka fawdo ugaliaa.Even Muuse Suudi declared Rooble as a theif (indirectly)". If war comes to Mogadishu, the people who would lose will be the millionaire hotel owners inside the cabinet. 30 jirka 30 ka million haysta ayaa ugu horeyn. Rooble also spent some time in Hargeisa where officials loot public lands whether its liberary, government building or parks. Why is the main reason Rooble disbanded the election commission? We all know it takes another three to nsix months to appoint and agree upon on a new commission. hE wanted another six months to make more money. If the regional leaders started the election, it could finish within weeks and Rooble will be out of job. . Now, the solution is to reinstate the old election commissioners and flow September 17 agreement and hold the election within 30 days. The election will clear the air. If Rooble and his freinds want to hold the election this time around, we say Aamiin.

Half baked moves . Who knows , maybe this is how the Mogadishu games are played. One thing we all understood was that Hassan Sheikh and INa C/shakuur could never have accepted an election where Farmaajo is the winner. waa dagaalkii beri dambe dhici lahaa oo la soo hormariyey. why these Americans wouldn't comment when the premier single handedly fired the election conflict reslution committee. That was the main trigger point of these problems. If there was anyone who made the coup, it is the unelected premier trying to fire the president who appointed him. If Rooble is in control of the army , why warlord militia who are his men holding check points in certain intersections?

Is madaxweynaha trusting Eritrean-trained troops?
galbeedi replied to Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar's topic in Politics
I think Farmaajo already lost the plot. Early in the morning I would have arrested the premier accused him of corruption, looting of public land and abuse of power by sacking the defence minister. Take over the public TV and disband the outlaws. After the arrest, I would have appointed Mahdi Guuleed as acting prime minister. there won’t be any TikTok minister acting as defence minister or other minions of Rooble in the cabinet.. now the same man he suspended had called him private citizen. He doesn’t even have a spokesperson to speak for him. -

This militia is the the biggest barrier for legitimate government and the rule of law. They must disbanded. So far they never faced real soldiers. Let us find out if they more than one life -

Criminals showing up to take advantage of any disturbances. Farmaajo doing things in a half baked way as always. Arrest the premier for corruption, abuse of power and looting of public land. Then hold press conference and explain his crimes to the public. Tell the people that he can’t obstruct the investigation.and replace government ministers for his own personal interest. -
The only compromise to defuse the situation would be for this corrupt premier to reinstate the independent election commission ad the conflict resolution committee. He shouldn’t be interfering these independent bodies. If Farmaajo is willing to use the military to restore order, the first place to start is the Nation Television and Radio which is taken over by outlaws

This is very important. Why appoint a new minister to the defence ministery? This is nothing but pure obstruction of justice. It is like firing the presecutor who is trying your case. Waxna waa siyaasad waxna waa jiritaanka dawladnimada. This year president Farmaajo had issues a presidential decree to prohibt any selling of public lands. Even Rooble supported and appointed some public servants to implement this directive. Also, this is the procedure of of the rules of those in the cabinet including the premier. If you are under investigation, you must step aside until your name is cleared. Rooble muxuu ka cabsoonayaa. Haddii uusan tuug ahayn , muxuu sharciga uga cabsanayaa. Waar kan oo kale inama soo marin. If he is innocent, why fear the ivestigation of the military. Tuug dhuuntaanu arki jirnee mid toosh wataa yimid.

Che, the opposition had opposed holding the election even days ago. Now suddenly they are for elections as soon as Farmaajo questioned the ability of the premier to conduct the election. Hadday mar kale ogolaadeen doorashadii waa khayr.

Shariif Ahmed could be the next prime minister to guide the country. He rapresents the oppostion and he have enough credibility to get the respect of everyone. If the premier was accused of looting public land all he should do is accept the investigation launched by the defence minitery. He replaced the defence minister and shut down the inquiry. La ima baadhi karo weeye warkiisu. This man had damaged the country more than anyone since he was appointed. hE doesn't have a mandate to fire the independent election commissioners ar will. Gudigii xalinta khilaafaadka iyo kii doorashada ayuu kaladiray. Awoodaas xaguu ka keenay. Haddii la raacayo 17 September cidna wax ma bedeli karto.

This Rooble guy must go. Period. Why interfere with the election commissioners. This indirect election is a disaster for all concerned. The only way to move Somalia forward is a new caretaker prime minister to manage one person one vote in early 2023. There is no other way to defeat the opposition. People like C/rahman C/shakuur will never accept the outcome of this election.

I would only add that Puntland had been hidding under the carpet a lot of " Badbaado Qaran" type militia both in Bari, Mudug and Nugaal. It is fragile agreement that allows clan militia or cerain region to have a veto power to avoid elimination. Except during the era of C/laahi Yusuf who had total control, these contradictions were managed in blanced way to avoid an out right winner. And this might continue until real elections take place. Furthermore, Puntland leadership believes the same arrangement in Somalia where federal states and Mogadishu based federal government should be in a balanced act that denies a total domination from the national government until total trust among the people and regions are achieved. In fact, the federalists will always tell you that the Somali project must be slow and incremental to reach the desired goal, even if it takes decades. There are even Puntlanders who believe that a one man one vote in Puntland might destablize the region. Mr. Deni tried to face head on a mess that had been covered up for years. In another word, the Boosaaso fiasco is probably a smaller version of the untouchable MOgadishu oligarchs that every president avoids. Sooner or later, someone must face them to establish order and functioning government. Now, the Americans who have created warlords around the world to fight the extremists, they themselves ctreated, should call their dayaano family dogs back. 15 years ago they financed Mogadishu warlords to crush the Islamic courts with a disatreous result which created the Al-shabaab phenomena that Somalia is fighting today. THey paid Afghan warlords to fight the Taliban, they created YPG in Syria to fight ISIS and destablize Turkey. The result is always bad. Who knows, this Boosaaso war might also finally eliminate for good the elders who shouldn't have any business in a modern state building. Tribal chiefs are found only in Indian reserves where poverty and underdevelopment exists.

This speech by Deni shows few important things. First, it shows the leadership of Puntland is accountable to the people. Second, as some people mentioned, the death toll is higer than we thought. Showering mortars to the city was a crime the Dayaano family has done to complicate the issue. Deni appreciates how senestive the issue became. He is not an arogant in this issue, and shows humbleness in regard to the opposition. He is asking the help of everyone to resolve the issue. Furthermore, he said there is no military solutions on this issue, because the mercenaties do not care about loses. It is a hostage situation. Also, like a real leader, Deni is explaining himself to the people without blaming the opposition. On the other hand it is a welcome situation where the leader is constrained by public opinioun. We have being begging Farmaajo for four years to come and talk to the people.

THis is the test. Any leader that can't defeat his own clan outlaws or criminals can't build the Somali nation. C/qasim allowed his sub clan to threaten peace in Mogadishu, but he decided to avoid confronting them which ended his presidency. Dani waa ninkii la rabay in Mogadishu madax ka noqdo, ka dibna marka ay qawlaysatadu buuq bilawdo, caasimada Baydhabo la tago oo rag iska dhiciyo. If he can't eliminate the Reer Bari outlaws how could he defeat the deep seated mafia in MOgadishu. By the way, when it comes to conspiracy, the Reer Bari are masters. THose from Burco or Mudug will punch you in the face and then make a peace, but the Reer Bari fights in eleven ways. Maybe the Dayaano outlaws are in cohoots with others to derail the chances of Dani getting elected president. Ka cabso Mu'aamarada reer bariga.

WE can't judge Hargeisa by the ruling oligarchs. THe new genersation of Somalis are different. In this issue, the change should come from the Ullema and religeous leaders. They should make the first move .

PM Abiy announces he will go to the frontlines to lead the army
galbeedi replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
Che, there are reports in the western media comparing the TDF to Eritrean army. I have even seen a BBC twitter saying 630,000 TDF against 17-20,000 Eritrean army. THey could attack Eritrea to depose Afwerk. Their sponsor, the USA, had mentioned ERitrea as the elephant in the room in the horn of Africa. THere are already ERitrean anti Afwork forces based in Sudan. I am not ruling out a TPLF offensive against Eritrea. THese guys are so reckless, they attacked everyone including their original allies--the Affar. They went as far as Gondar in the west and Mille, Affar in the east. Why extend yourself when you could hit the highway from Tigray streight to Addia?. The TPLF leadership ( Debresion, Gethachew Rada and Gabrewahid) might not survive as the Tigray government. They have the nerve to ask the UNSC for no fly zone. Is this Yugoslavia? In the Somali sphere, the end of the TPLF must also finish off some of the decaying administration in the region. The demise of the Derg in 1991, trasformed Somalia as we knew it , I do believe that the coming years will finish of some including the Djibouti despot. -
Oday Gooni, hadalkaagu waa hadal nin weyn. Dani waxa ka horjeeda waa " Puntland extablishment". Qaylada baxaysa waa mid lagu diidayo isbedelka socda dhinaca uu doono ha socdee. WE welcome the cease fore by the Puntland government and elders. On the other hand the PSF mercenaries are among the best trained forces and will subdue any militia. Dani must asses the issue and try to isolate the outlaws. Also, the strange thing is those who are in trouble always blame president Farmaajo for their problems. Even the Dayaano outlaws might say they are N&N. I did talk to a Nabad Iyo Nolol supporter from Puntland and he said, " cid kasta oo Farmaajo ka horjeedaa way jabaysa Illahay amerkiisa". He told me about a man catching a plane from Djibouti and he said, " if you ask the Djibouti people who they would vote, they will tel you Farmaajo" , waar ninku dadka miyuu sixray ayuu yidhi. That means if the Dani was a Farmaajo supporter like Qoor Qoor, he could have subdued the outlaws by now. Jocking aside, these Dayaano family owned mercenaries had to give up their arms one way or another. They can't take hostage for the city of Boosaaso.
