Forget Kismayu, Mogadishu admin needs to be shared by all Somali groups..

Xaaji, Puntland nor Galmudug purport to be the capital for the Somali people. This is not about Mogadishu but the status it claims while being run by a single group. -

Somalia replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
General Duke is addressing a critical subject, how can the so-called capital of a nation be monopolized and ruled by 1 clan, never, never have I seen this before. It is shocking and disappointing, not only as a Somali... but as a human being. -
Good question Xaaji, good question. These are endangered Somalilanders, part of the ethnic Somaliland confederation. As you can see in the speeches they are very riled up, old men are telling us they will sign up to fight. They also said that they welcome support from the mothership in Somaliland. These local endangered Somalilanders are just looking out for their interests and the mothership should come to help in my belief.

Macallinka why pretend your uncle came with the idea about kacaan Salaad Gebeyre Kediye were the mastermind behind the kacaan and you know what happened to him.. You cannot oppose and support Kacaanka due to Unuka members. -

Mario B;881578 wrote: You lot opposed Khatumo state, Faroole and you have no credibility whatsoever on this matter. No single sub-clan can form a clan state in Jubooyinka without the supervision of Somali Government and without the interfering of foreign governments. AMISOM's job is to provide security, no more. Ps Dr Abdiweli as a PM refused to acknowledge KS and was/has been toying the PL line, so much for universal leadership from him. He met Awdal state, an entity that had no power in the ground at a time when people were being killed in Buuhodle by some contrived "Republic". You're betrayal was noted, saxib!! At the moment I don't give sh!t about clan states including yours. Abdiweli Mohamed had no stance on Khaatumo. He made no stance on Jubbaland either, the difference was that he welcomed the intervention against Al-Shabaab. Abdiweli has shown himself to be a leader of all Somalis, a bit of slander from people who can't unite at a sub-clan level will not hurt his stance. If he was a bad person, the current president would not seek his advise. If we have no credibility as Puntland, then you shouldn't be worried and others shall not seek our political assistance. Khaatumo today can't stand on its feet, it's in league with Somaliland, more and more politicians are abandoning the project in favour of the secessionists, just like we said from the beginning. The opposition to Khaatumo was due to the fact that you told your followers that we are your cadows, we are the enemy even though Somaliland occupied your region, not Puntland. Then you attacked pro-Puntland troops in Tukaraq as well.

Xaaji Xunjuf;881570 wrote: Where did the government in Mogadishu say they are against a federal state in kismayo and the juba regions they only said that it should be done under the frame work of the Somali state. i don think they said the people of those regions cant have a federal state why not every 2 regions can have a federal state under the government in Mogadishu. They went against the talks between the different people that inhabit the region. I'm sorry Xaaji but some of us are hurt after coming out of a brutal civil war, our families chased, some killed, some tortured, some missing, this is all just a bit too familiar to some of us! These fresh memories will hunt us forever. We just want peace!!

Xaaji Xunjuf;881556 wrote: ^^ And thats how it should be the power should be in the hands of the capital even if its a federal state I agree with that 100%. But Mogadishu is violating the constitution and is against the formation of a state. Based on a voluntary decision, two or more regions may merge to form a Federal Member State. Federal constitution The people of Jubboyinka want a state, they have done so on a voluntary basis. Mogadishu should adhere to the constitution otherwise it can count itself a illegitimate spoiler. Imagine if the tables were turned, and Abdiweli was president or anyone from his block, and he went to Jubboyinka and said you should make a state, but then when he went home to Villa Somalia, he opposes creation of a state in Central Somalia, I mean the world would be in flames, but here you have the good people of Jubboyinka, quiet as ever doing their business.

Somalia: Puntland Seizes Boatload of Explosives from Yemen [Press Release] 20 Oct 20, 2012 - 2:05:40 PM Somalia: Puntland Seizes Boatload of Explosives from Yemen PRESS RELEASE 20 October 2012 General view of explosives and ammunitions On Oct. 17, 2012, a fiberglass dhow of the type renowned to originate in Yemen came to the shores of Qandala district, in Bari region of Puntland State of Somalia. Local witnesses informed Puntland authorities that a dhow with 4 to 5 foreign males on board came ashore briefly and unloaded a huge consignment of ammunitions and explosives materials along a natural bay in Qandala district, known locally as ‘Butiyalo’. Qandala is located at an enclave along the northern Somali coast adjacent Yemen that is extremely difficult to access by land. Puntland Government dispatched regional officials and security forces who arrived by sea in Qandala. Puntland security forces, including the Puntland Maritime Police Force (PMPF), led by Bari Governor and PMPF Commander seized 37 sacks apparently intended to be collected by Al Shabaab elements. The sacks contained diversified and sophisticated explosives materials and ammunitions, including: · 1 Canon 73mm · 500 Detonators · 5 Rolls of Detonating Cord (1250m) · 220 Rockets of RPG-7 · 304 Boosters for Rocket · 137kg of explosives materials · 210 Hand Grenade Detonators · 2 Sacks of Ammonium Nitrate Subsequent investigation into this seizure has revealed that the shipment was destined for Al Shabaab terror group in Somalia and the wider region, including those in the mountain hideouts of Golis Range, stretching along the northern coast of Somalia, mainly from west of Bossaso to Erigavo. This consignment was shipped by Al Qaeda groups based in Yemen to Somalia, underlining the growing terror network in the wider region. Puntland Government is proud of local communities and the government’s security forces for inflicting this big blow to Al Shabaab terrorism operations in Somalia and the wider region. The terrorists were frustrated as demonstrated by their continuous and cowardly death threat messages sent to commanders of Puntland security forces who participated in the Qandala operation. --- END --- http://www.garoweonline.com/artman2/publish/Press_Releases_32/Somalia_Puntland_Seizes_Boatload_of_Explosives_from_Yemen_Press_Release.shtml

Xaaji Xunjuf;881553 wrote: These are the problems with clan federalism no one knows where to draw the line i remember when faroole said the Somali government should be an umbrella of organization states. imagine Mississippi and California saying Washington cant dictate them They did, it was called Texas, and the difference is that the power lied with Washington, today in Somalia the power lies with the states, and if these states say no, it will be no and Mogadishu can't say nothing.

Dadkaas waaba noqdeen already. This is no different those who fled from the O'gaden in 1978 and were mostly settled in Hiiraan. As we all know those returned home in 1991. How did one get there in the 1970s?
