Originally posted by me: quote:Originally posted by Northerner: ME, Burco maxaad usheegatey? Yaaba kuraba Burco Boodhweyn war naga daa. Northerner I have had teh priveledge to live in many Somali cities. So I know how they are all like. And to be honest. Towns like Burco, Gaalkacyo, Laas Caanood iyo Dhuuso Mareeb are all the same. They got tough people and crazy people with good hearts. They are what we can call the 'tribal lands'. So give me Shalambood, Jowhar, Marka, Kismayo, Ceerigaabo, Hargeysa anyday. In these places you will find the most honest of people. They will tell you how it is without sugar coating their sentences ps dont you want your kids to speak 'Somali' -

And many examples that go along such lines, and yet you are insisting that the people of Hargeysa are close to religious freedom than others in Xamar and so forth. I was in no way suggesting that the people of Xamar lacked religion. Now i'm not a fan of the Hargaisa Govnt, far from it. We will see how things pan out IA. -

Islamic Dacwah to reach to the right Muslim populations in Hargeysa. Are you saying the people of H-town need Dacwa? As opposed to people from Xamar who already 'know their stuff'? Your reasoning is weak my freind -
Waaxaankusheego, one minute you wish for someone to die and the next you want a secular govnt ousted. Enough said,,,,,

Any others? Are you now justifying the brutality and inhumane treatments of our Islamic Scholars in Hargeysa by the same Administration that banned Allah's verses to be mentioned against the stinking Ethiopians and their friends? Why would you think Allah's punishment is unlikely to befall on those criminals through the hands of those brave Mujaahidiin in both inside Hargeysa, like Sh. Mustafa Ismaaciil, and outside? I am sure your worst fears will materialize soon as the people of Hargeysa rise to their Islamic obligations as did their brothers in Xamar. Have i missed something here  I simply asked for the UIC plans 'if and when' they are in a position to talk of anything Somaliland. What have i tried to justify? What have i neglected. Is it a spread with the sword (gun) strategy? -
Warya tuujiye, northern folk do not chew any more than southern folk. The problem is not having an economy. People waste time, become addicted etc etc,,,,, Banning the Qaad in SL is likely to result in fighting from the Qaad dealers and not the general population

Signature-kaaga waxaa la rabay inaad ku darto "Ramadaan, shahrul Jihaad" maadaama bishan haduu ilaah idmo uu jihaad kulul ka dhici doono Hargeysa, iyo Burco, intaba. Should it be termed as Jihad when you are fighting your brothers? Come on now, you are making a bad example of the UIC supporters

"The Islamic nation is currently living in a state of backwardness because Muslim intellectuals and figures have been abandoned and their services are being disregarded." - Dr Zaghloul Mohammad Al Najjar, Egyptian scholar . Islamic world 'is living in a state of backwardness' By Bassam Za'za', Staff Reporter Dubai: The Islamic nation has not progressed and remains backward "because Muslim scholars and researchers are being left behind", said the 10th Islamic Personality of 2006 of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award. "The Islamic nation is currently living in a state of backwardness because Muslim intellectuals and figures have been abandoned and their services are being disregarded," said the Egyptian scholar Dr Zaghloul Mohammad Al Najjar, who was named the Dubai International Holy Quran Award's (DIHQA) Islamic Personality of 2006. He called on leaders and decision-makers in the Arab and Islamic world to follow what the DIHQA's Organising Committee has been doing through promoting and serving the Quran and honouring Muslim scholars with the Islamic personality award. "The DIHQA is a noble and righteous event and it revives good guidelines [sunnah] which have been neglected for too many years," said Dr Al Najjar. Honouring Muslim scholars who promote Islam and serve the Prophet Mohammad's (PBUH) guidelines, Sunnah, "is an initiative which revitalises the Nation and brings it progress and affluence and makes it capable of confronting the worldwide powers which have been constantly criticising Islam," he said. Dr Al Najjar is the chairman of the Committee of Scientific Miraculousness in the Holy Quran and member of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs in Egypt. The outspoken scholar has been chosen as DIHQA's Islamic Personality 2006 for his significant lectures which are rich with information on scientific miracles in the Quran. Ebrahim Mohammad Bu Melha, Chairman of the DIHQA's Organising Committee, said that the winner will be honoured tomorrow evening during the closing ceremony which will be held at Shaikh Rashid Hall at Dubai International Convention Centre. Bu Melha praised His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for his endless effort in serving the Quran and supporting the DIHQA, his "most beloved" award. Bu Melha said the DIHQA will publish and distribute the first book on Scientific Miracles in the Quran during the closing ceremony.

I would put to you that the national armed forces are getting support from Ethiopia, Yemen, Uganda under the request of the TFG. The clan courts are getting support from Eritria, does that mean it is invading Somalia? Yemen and Uganda are not in Somalia to aid in the atacking (although they are reported to be supplying arms). Ethiopia is! Eritrea (who may be supplying arms) are yet to be seen/reported on a battle field standing alongside the UIC or roaming the streets of the towns and cities they control. I will be back for more later on. Off to Qatar for the day.
