  1. This reminds me of the Asian crowd at uni who would go mad because they have finally been 'freed' (ie left home). Dad waalan bay ahaayeen kuwaasi
  2. what I typed is not there. nevermind
  3. ^^Where did I suggest it should be higher? Comprehension again? If I recall correctly in 2005 the budget was approx GBP 24m ($48m).
  4. The budget has gone up from approx $49m. Increase of $2m or so. No big deal. One hopes mechanisms will start being put in place to monitor its expenditure. Fat chance I say.
  5. ^^We watch at the same time as you guys do saxib. When its live anyway.
  6. ^^Germany will win. looking at video-evidence, Pepe was onside at the point of delivery He was offside by at least a couple of yards but came back in making him look on side when the ball arrived.
  7. ^^Pepe's disallowed goal was a good decision.
  8. That Kasim Kasim guy was so frustrating. He has pace, power and skill but did not want to use any of that when he had the ball at his feet again Ferrera of all people. He stops and checks back when he should just gone at him. He didn’t bother getting forward on the few time when they were countering. The guy just jogs along. Turkey are out. Portugal looked good. We will see how they cope against better opposition. Today its Ze German vs Polka (I know who half of London will be supporting in that encounter) and I forgot the other game. Aha, Austria vs Croatia?? Ps The Sun is issuing a Polish version this month LoL
  9. Portugal looked good last night.
  10. ^^ I will be rooting for them. Watching the first via the net. Boring game so far.
  11. ^^You have comprehension problems. Everytime I say something about Riyaale and the current admin you jump up and down.
  12. ^^A limited connection which is over-played by most. PM, hear hear. I recently came across someone who graduated after seeking advice from me back in 2003. He bought me a meal. A chicken burger and chips but I was chuffed with myself
  13. Isseh, I agree and disagree at the same time. Does the situation of Somalia really effect kids currently going through their GCSEs? I really don't think so. They either left when they were young or were most likely born in the UK. The statelessness has effected the older generation more than the younger. This has no doubt effected the grades of Somali kids at schools due to the fact that parents think it is not their country therefore their kids will not ambitious. They are cool with this and only hope their kids don't turn out bad (go off the rails). I was with a kid one day in the presence of his mom. I was asking him what he wanted to be and suggested the usual doctor, engineer or camel herder. He mom turned to me and asked, whats the point? wadankiisii ma joogee. Imagine have such an attitude and presenting it to your kids.
  14. I welcome any peace conference but an assembly of the realists is where I belong ya Xiin. We say how we think things may pan out based on FACTS, historical trends (Somali peace confrences), the characteristics of the people/entities taking part, what their interests are etc etc. We could be totally wrong and a positive solution could come about tomorrow! That would a bonus we would welcome with open arms. Until then, critique on the current meeting or any peace offering should not be taken as hoping for the worst. Informed pesimism maybe.
  15. ^^You are the SL version of Emp. Liitle to offer apart from blind support. The SL admin has failed miserably.
  16. I have been doing just that (not letting the snide remarks get to me) for far too long hence why you all keep repeating the same lines Until next time, some up a bit of courage for a proper debate (no hiding behind the usual lines) whenever it may be.
  17. How can I take your opinion seriously when you're very reluctant to discuss anything regarding TFG/Ethios. I'm yet to see you present anything concisely without the usual 'you are against us so I will be against you because,,,,' What is your take on the Ethio official attending the meeting? Should he be there? If so, why? ps I'm assuming you're up to the task.
  18. In case you haven't noticed I care not for the opinion of one who supports the TFG/Ethios (you can say all you like for all I care). Now, for arguments sake, lets say that YES I am a hypocrit and yes my motives are questionable. Now, can we have a PROPER discussion on the subject at hand? Or any topic for that matter? Are you up for it? Can you step up to the plate (non of your 'associates' have thus far). Come on, be brave.
  19. ^^Can you muster up HOW you think what I have been posting about this conference and any meetings/negotiation is hatred? If anything, I have been right on the money so far with regard to the conditions in place before the opposition talk to the TFG 'directly'. I mentioned the need for a timetable for withdrawal numerous times before (because I'm a realist who doesnt live in dreamland) and WALLA, the opposition ask for a timetable for withdrawal as a condition before talking to the TFG. Or can I read minds?
  20. ^^Thats your opinion (waxa laidinka daadiciyey). Let me know when you can think for yourself. I have no appetite walking you across the road again.

  22. It only takes a little effort dear. I know how busy we all get in our lives but something needs to be done and we (been there, done that and bought the T-shirt) are the last option. If kids see and talk to people who have graduated and are now working on a regular basis that will give the drive they need to succeed. I would hate to think what the situation would be in 10 years time if nothing is done. Ibti, I know but how do you get parents to get to that stage. If know what is expected of their kids this year and next, what they need to achieve and how, they may just wake up and smell the coffee and that what you all need to do through informative Sat afternoon workshops at the local centres/mosques etc. It really doesnt take much of an effort if you all pull together.
  23. When I see a drunk Somali I feel ashamed and I'm sure alot of other people do. Is it about how others will perceive Somalis? I suppose it is but when you're a minority in a country you feel like the majority will judge by what they see. Who know he could actually turn out a good example but I wouldnt hold my breath.
  24. ^^The action is with you dear. If parents are not informed, inform them. Lily, Forget those good for nothing people. I don't think the schemes they are running has any relation or is geared towards bridging the 'grades gap'. New schemes should be set up by people who KNOW what is needed seperately and use those centres as a base for talks, presentations, home work clubs etc.
