If I was to take a wager I bet this regime survives more or less intact with the public fobbed off with cosmetic changes. I don't think Egyptians have the stamina to keep up the pressure on this regime. Millenia of acquiescing to rule by Pharaohs won't be swept away that quickly. What is remarkable is that protests are still being counted in the tens of thousands in a country of 80 million plus. Thats what I thought earlier. All news reports indicate its the end game for the regime. El Baraday to be installed as temp leader (to set up elections)???
  2. "The entire staff of the Israeli Embassy in Cairo has been evacuated by helicopters."
  3. I have changed my mind. HM is gone by tomorrow. The alternative is no longer the Muslim Brotherhood. Its normal people. Working and Middle Class. The govnt is in tatters. We could be witnessing history.

  5. El Baraday's statement shows the gloves have come off. He basically said its time for HM to go.
  6. Looks like HM's speech has been posponed. Wonder why? LG, with so many networks using AJ's pictures doesn't it mean it taken seriously (ie a reliable source)? Their building overlooks the main square.
  7. Waziira Ibti, where is this from?
  8. Ruling party headquarters being looted. AJE say the National TV and Radio stations could be next.
  9. Alot of concerned faces where I am. Arabs from all countries.
  10. Kuwait Airways stops flights to Egypt.
  11. This is the most important country in the Arab world. Democratic elections is now a must.
  12. Ok. Now that I have seen the footage this looks like a very serious situation for the govnt. Some amazing pictures on AJE.
  13. Watching the pictures on AJ now. Damn. This is huge!
  14. ^He holds all the cards. Investment, jobs and reform will be his words.
  15. I doubt much will change in Egypt. Promises will be made and the people will be calm down once prisoners are released and money pumped into infrsatructure. Egypt isn't Tunisia.
  16. I'm glad these two baffoons are gone. They did get too big for their boots and their bias towards LFC was all there to see.
  17. Duke, I doubt the Indians are aware of what is happening in North Africa. Hosni will make promises and it will all be back to work next week.
  18. If only it could drive init Ngonge?
  19. Got complemented on my arabic by an egyptian of all people. Made my day
  20. I don't follow gossip in papers warya. I watch all the games live. Rafa's first choice signings included those I mentioned above as well as Dosenna heh. Waar even Benayoun was sidelined for Maxi! ILl be back.
  21. Facts? Like buying Auilani? Like the disaster Voronin? Even Kuyt was a mistake and couldn't score to save his life. Then Torres came and he was played on the right. The man was replaced by Woy and nearly got Inter relegated lol
  22. Take off the blinkers niyow. Alonso was the be all and end all of that team. He left and it all went south after that. Rafa couldn't work with the average players he put in his position. I don't want to keep telling you where your logic is flawed dee. Rafa was great but he could only take the us so far. Alonso says that himself in the article you posted. Kuyt will be replaced by Babel this week. Waad arki.
  23. Stop making excuses for Rafa. We finished 2nd due Alonso playing a blinder. He was the linch pin (most successful passes in the league). But you would't know cos you only have the highlights available to you badowyahow. Kuyt didn't need to track back as much as we controlled games (due Alonso's accurate passing). If that wasn't the case then why didn't he do much last season and why isnt he doing much now? Why didn't we finish 2nd last season? Waar stop making excuses and realise teams change and go through transition period when top players leave. If we go by your logic we should have at least challenged last year but oh i forgot we finished 7th and as you said it was a freak season heh whereas I said we wouldn't go anywhere. I didnt say all our players were average (as you can see in my previous post) but the majority are. They can be average and still be internationals you know. It does happen. Babel is better footballer. He has more goals per min played than Kuyt.
