  1. Jaylaani, you seem to be a brother with a lot of common sense and you have argued your case well here. the iraq example is a good one but it doesnt sit well with me becuase there are kurdish inhabitants who have the same rights to call iraq their country so technically you cant call it a purely arabic state. however it always has been know to be an arab state and therefore i'll have to accept that theory. But djibouti is a different case because it has never been the somali sate of djibouti. the area was once known as french somaliland but that doesnt merit it to be correct becuase the colionalists called different states accoriding to what they thought not the heritage and identity of the country. take Ghana for example. it used to be called the Gold Coast because that was the british name for it but the people knew it as Ghana.
  2. Fanisha, sorry but i dont know that girl and i guess it probably is just coincidence.
  3. Fanisha, sorry but i dont any that girl and i guess it probably is just coincidence.
  4. now tell me why are asenal only dreaming of being like chelsea if they are a better team then chelsea. lets analyse the case as it stands at the moment. arsenal are out of the FA CUP, have lost to Chelsea in the carling cup, have no chance in hell of winning the leauge this season and they are in a bit of pifle to say the least when it comes to the championsleauge where they face a good psv team to who i believe have a good chance of beating arsenal over the two legs. compare that to chelsea who are in a strong position to progress in the FA cup, have won the Carling cup, still stand a chance of winning the league and are in a very good position to progress in the champions league. now if you still think you are better then Chelsea NOW i fear all hope is lost fear you dear friend.
  5. ah these deluded gooners still havent seen the light. i shall to teach them little respect for their ignorance and idiocricy which to my suprise still doesnt amaze me. first of all willy e coyote needs to learn that even chelsea was attracting over 120,000 fans in the 1930's and chelsea still hold the record for the highest attendance in a league game which was actually at stamford bride against the gooners in 1932. so get your head into the history books before you challenge the big boys!! now dear Jimbob, are you going to dispute you were struggling to get over 30,000 people into your shoebox hmmm? becuase if you are then your delusions are even more absurd and i should stop waisting my time trying to teach about football son. now i will use the mighty blues as an example of how a team struggle to fill a small stadium, built a bigger one and managed to fill that and more. Now listen carefully dear student or the teacher shall be very cross with you! Chelsea in the 1980's used to struggle to fill their stadium becuase of the dire state that the team was in and becuase the Mears family had lost the support of the chelsea fans who were the most fervent of supporters only a couple of years earlier. when bates took over he rebuilt the stadium with better facilities for fans and go the support of the fans back and manage to fill out a 40,000 seater stadium when the team was only doing ok and languishing in mid table. does that prove a worthwhile example to your irrespectfull self? i doubt it get a history book son, i quarantee you it will be a worthwhile investment
  6. you cant keep reverting back to history to explain why your team lost. i mean then preston north end can talk about how fantastic and 'invincible' they were in the late 1800's and then you will have opened a can of worms that nobody can close
  7. Centurion, have you any idead what you are talking. what happened in the north was pure genocide and was it's most horrific and on a mass scale compared to any other areas in somaliland. how can you say that the somaliland government is playing this as a card. their people were killed by the tens of thousands and you think they should just shut up about it. i bet you thought it was its scandalous, immoral and shameless behaviour that they fought back against siyad barre. you need to know what you are talking about before you start saying this you have no knowledge of.
  8. I apologise Jaylaani I misunderstood your standpoint. But the you do reiterate the point about the origins of the Somali flag as being based on the UN structure. That for me means that they are imitating another entity’s flag which they should never done.
  9. Tell mr Tuke How has silaanyo been a warlord? i am not a big fan of silaanyo but the man fought to free his people who were being slaughtered by Siyad barre. now if you think that makes him a warlord then your sense of reality is seriously out of check. another good deed he did for HIS people was acknowledging the presidential election result when he felt that the election was rigged but he believed that it was in the best interest of his country that accept the result and to help his country in the best way possible. its like jaylaani said you cannot rewrite history
  10. Jaylaani, I think it is incorrect to call any country with true inhabitants of another ethnicity to be a somali state. plus as others have said it is the case that a lot of djiboutians of somali origins dont even want to be called somalis so that would rule the possibility out further. the issue with having a president and a prime minister is not an issue. countries such as france have worked perfectly when the Presidents has has a bigger role then the prime minister but obviously they have to think and work alongside eachother. Somalia has 99 problems but that aint one!
  11. i dont think it is correct to say all djiboutians are somalis as there are citizens there from the afar and danaakil ethnicities so that wouldnt make djibouti a somali state.
  12. i agree with you jaylaani. I cannot believe that some of the members here are disputing the fact that cabdilaahi yusuf is a warlord. the only reason this man is allowed to call himself the president of somalia is down to the fact that he is the biggest warlord and if he looses that title whoever beats him takes his title and the presidency most probably
  13. this issue of corruption is not news. i am amazed that some of you are suprised by this. they are warlorlds after all and their plans were always to make as much money of this as possible. what about the common somalis? who the hell cares. that is their attitude, always has been and always will be
  14. I dont think it is something to be proud of that you base your flag on the Uniited Nations. they are the biggest bunch of incompetent ****** in the world. somalia is a country rich in history and i dont think it should have to imitate anybody. personally i call for a flag change and the creation of a flag that represents somalia and its heritage and identity
  15. i think that is a positive step from the kenyan government and Paul Muite's words make a lot of sense
  16. diversion tactics there perhaps mr bob? i think wenger is taking the youth policy to an extreme now. everyone knows that blackburn away is one of the toughest games in england and he didnt beef his team up with the experience that they needed to win this game. thats what i think anyway.
  17. bob, i agree with you in a sense that mourinho does sometimes come up with utter garbage that dont help but i think so does wenger or whinger as some of the media are calling him these days. for that matter so does ferguson. i actually think the sole purpose for doing it is to 'piss off' the opposition and get them to loose their cool.
  18. bob, first all i only told you measons for supporting chelsea becuase you asked me. So when did you start supporting Chelsea? long before Ken Bates bought the team with 2 pounds I bet. so just how does the make me a bit 'hot under the collar'. in terms of me calling you a liverpool fan as i said before that was a wrong assumption to make but it was the only one i could make at the time as i didnt know you and your ****-nal support. but you also made an assumption when you accused me of being a couch potato. just how did you know that? do you perhaps know my football watching habits? i think not. i think my football knowledge is well rounded purely because of my love for the game and for you to even suggest that i dont go to any of the games is pure hypocrisy coming from a gooner. have you already forgotten highbury the library? arsenal used to struggle to get 30,000 in there and that for says plenty. how come you take such pride in saying that Chelsea arent going to win the premiership this season? are you sure you're arsenal fan cause all the true arsenal fans that i know couldnt care less about who wins the premiership between chelsea and Man Utd. or Perhaps your hatred for chelsea has made you loose common sense if you ever had it. i also think hypocracy is at play when you accuse me of being insecure. i try to explain myself when someone asks me question and that is reasonable behaviour not insecurity i thank you for your compliments.
  19. i cant believe we are actually thinking this is going to solve anything. anyone who has any knowledge of the somali mentality would know that the avergage somali is going to resist this to the end. these africans cant do anything in sudan and have never been capable of actually beeing 'peace keepers'. i just hope that they realise soon enough what they have let themselves in for and just go back.
  20. however gigantic it may be it seems to misplaced and hidden behind rose tinted glasses. soma_inc, it is indeed good to know that at least someone here is a True Blue
  21. BOB, dont tell me you are hoping against all hope that man utd win the title? cos that shows your support of arsenal to be insignifacant. but if you just dont want chelsea to win is another matter. to be perfectly honest, the title is in man utd hands at the moment but it wouldnt be the most outrageous thing if they were to loose their bottle right at the end. i hope liverpool can do us some business over the weekend which will put that extra bit of pressure on manu
  22. nuune, what is so impossible about Chelsea being able to get revenge on Liverpool. or is it some twisted moderator logic that has escaped which makes it a strange statement?
  23. oooh things getting a bit too heated for you there bob? take it easy there is no need to get all hyper. i think your intelligence will come into question before mine. i assumed that you were a liverpool fan because you got all emotional about my post on the subject of liverpool. now i dont claim to be perfect but it is possible to make wrong assumption which i did. secondly, this forum is called somalia online it is intended for somali's as indicated by the name. but of course if you feel you are an affiliated somali that's your choice. thirdly you are not my seedi and i dont know where you go that from because being married to any somali girl doesnt make you that. on the subject of when i became a chelsea fan- i wouldnt normally into such a meaningless discusion but i became a chelsea fan after 96 when my boy-hood football hero ruud gullit moved there. i was and still am a huge PSV fan but chelsea became my second club. then i moved to the UK and obviosly my support for PSV grew. your knowledge of football is obviously minimal as you are a 'gooner' which is shown by your claim that Bates bought chelsea for £2. i will correct you that it was actually £1 which shows your ignorance on this matter.
  24. that is exactly my sentiment. i am getting a bit annoyed with djibouti interference with issues concerning somalia and somaliland. if they wish to have a say in somali negotiations then they ought to join their somali brothers in a state otherwise stay out of it
