Fight JAAHADA FII SABIILILLAH ( Kaman aamana billahi wal yowmi aakhar wa jaahada fii sabiilillah) Tawbah 19 As we can see from these four main meanings, JIHAAD: Is a Hardship that is endured for sole Goal of Allah's pleasure, that requires resistance of temptations of good life on earth , and when necessary a fight and generous spending of wealth and time for the cause of Allah. Jihad, therefore is the higest pillar of Islam, its the beacon of all other pillars like Prayers, Fasting and Pilgrimmage. Islam honors those who take part in Jihad, and Allah promises them the highest place in heaven. And because Jihad is a prescribed pillar in Islam, it must not conflict with its ideals and teachings. The Prophet Muhammad SAWS sent armies for Jihad telling them not to harm the elderly, children, women and the non combatants, not to destroy trees and the environment, not to maim, invade privacy, and properties of the noncombatants citizens. They must uphold the law of Allah and become examples of the message for which they have sacrificedd their lives and wealth. Salahuddin Al Ayyubi, was an example of the true quality of a Mujahid as he conqured the Crussaders in Palestine, securing the Jewsih and Christian Synagogues and Churches, if he had done what the Spanish has done to Muslims in Spain, there would never be a Jewsih nor a Christian presence in Palestine, but, Islam is the most tolerant faith on earth, its unfortunate that its enemies are painting a different picture of a great faith of humanity. So what is the purpose of Jihad in Islam? Well, If Islam is the body, Jihad is the blood vein that assures the life of all of the other organs, just like blood gives nutrients to the body and removes waste out of the body, without Jihad, Islam as a body dies, it can not sustain itself nor help itself grow in health. A nation with no ideals vanishes. Which brings us to the concept of Sacrifice. Humanity is a single family with a single God who is their creator. They all worship a superior being, they differ on His qualities, and quantity, but agree on His supremacy. One of the principles that all faiths have in common is the concept of sacrifice which is a prelude to an in depth understanding the concept of Jihad in Islam. Qadciyu Thubuut, Qadciyu Dalaalah 2. Qadciyu Thubuut, Dhanniyu Dalaalah 3. Dhanniyu Thubuut, Qadiciyu Dalaalah 4. Dhanniyu Thubuut, Dhanniyu Dalaalah The first one is unanimous, no two scolars disagree on it The rest three cases; scholars disagree on its usage as a proof on a given issue. A. The preservation of the faith of the Muslim in the non Muslim country. B. The preservation of the Dawa work ( Preaching) in the non Muslim country. Now, historically, we know that islam spread in many eastern countries by virtue of Muslim traders who have lived with non Muslims in far East Asia, it was the effort of these traders and their akhlaaq ( Character) that attracts these non Muslims to embrace Islam, I can assure you that it was not through Al Azhar Sheikhs or Sheikhs from Madina who were sent there to make Remote Controlled Dawa Work. The second state of the mind as we discussed previously is the: The Dhanb State ( Sin State ) The sin state is the result of a prolonged Ghaflah State, when we park idly in a ghaflah state, we become numb, our senses go to sleep, our reason takes a vacation, and presto, we find ourselves in the forbidden half side of the game of life. When we are under the influence of the NIMA + Ghaflah , abundant food, and good health and some money, and our desires are not safeguarded with Dhiker or fasting, our automatic pilot takes over our comprehension and we begin to use our hormones for thinking instead of our heads, this process of following the steps of Satan continues until Satan guides his victim step by step to commit a haraam action, and later convice his victim that they are now hopeless and bad, so contiue on this sinful track for a while. When we encounter the potential of making money, and we are in Ghaflah state, and we have dire need for money, we cross the decency line by stealing, cheating and in serious cases robbing or killing someone for the money. Those twe commit when are not aware of The first category, we must immediatley repent, the longer we delay repentance, the more likelier that a misfortune will happen to us as a punishment for our sin The second type, we should always say " Rabbanaa laa tu'aakhidnaa in naseenaa aw akhda'naa" Our Lord do not hold us responsible if we forget ( and commit a sin) or if we mistakenly commit an error" we should always make Istighfaar, so that they wipe away ours sins since Allah SWT said, " Wa maa kaana Allah mucadhibahm wa hum yastaghfiruun" meaning Allah was not about to punish them while they actively seek forgiveness ISTIGHFAAR. So, what do you have to loose, continuesly say Istaghfirullaah, I tried it, you will be safe. Our sins affect the following: 1. Wealth, money, we are punished by our money stolen, etc. 2. Health, you can get sick due to unfirgiven sins 3. Family, your family and friends can drive you nuts as a punishment of your sins. 4. Depression. So, if you contnously make sitighfaar, you will wipe out your sins before you pay the price, so you will have a trouble free life, a little paradise on earth. Sins also withhold good things to happen to you (NIMA). So, if you continously make istighfaar, your sins are reduced and good things begin to flow like rain, money and kids if you like to have some little anarchists at home. Allah SWT says " Istaghfiroo Rabbakum innahu kaana Ghaffaaraa, Yorsili samaa calaykum midraaraa wa yumdidkum bi amwaalin wa baniin wa yajcallakum jannaatin wa anhaaraa" meaning, seek forgiveness from your Lord, for He is the often forgiving, He will pour down the rain abundantly, and he will provide you with wealth and kids, and He will provide you with gardens and flowing rivers ( from the down pour) See how many good things your sins costing you? So, if you are wise, you will stop thinking about sins, if you still enjoy your sins, let us visit the exciting horror show next. In other words the zakÄtable amount will be the amount a person would consider his or hers at that time even if he was to leave his employment. For instance, if a person’s total personal investments in his or her 401K plan are $5,000.00 along with $2,500.00 matched by the employer, then the zakÄt will be 2.5% of $7,500.00 which is $187.50 for that year. If he or she has an additional $2,500.00 in other zakÄtable assets like cash in hand or inventory, etc. then the total zakÄtable income is $10,000.00, hence, his zakÄt will be $250.00 for that year. For first time, unmarried households reign in US by Maxim Kniazkov It is by no means dead, but for the first time, a new survey has shown that traditional marriage has ceased to be the preferred living arrangement in the majority of US households. The shift, reported by the US Census Bureau in its 2005 American Community Survey, could herald a sea change in every facet of American life -- from family law to national politics and its current emphasis on family values. The findings, which were released in August but largely escaped public attention until now because of the large volume of data, indicated that marriage did not figure in nearly 55.8 million American family households, or 50.2 percent. More than 14 million of them were headed by single women, another five million by single men, while 36.7 million belonged to a category described as "nonfamily households," a term that experts said referred primarily to gay or heterosexual couples cohabiting out of formal wedlock. In addition, there were more than 30 million unmarried men and women living alone, who are not categorized as families, the Census Bureau reported. By comparison, the number of traditional households with married couples at their core stood at slightly more than 55.2 million, or 49.8 percent of the total.
