  2. What I found out in my short stay in the UK thus far soothed the soul of the forever optimist in me and for once I can say with full conviction that hope is not all lost as there are hundreds of Somalis both males and females working hard to make sure that we as a SOMALI will be a force to be reckoned with sooner rather than later from politics, medicine, engineering to business and it’s just a matter of time before you see one of us in every field in existence. I was also impressed by how the younger generation don’t care about each other’s qabiil or background as long as they share a common interest and common goal they’re cool with each other and that’s exactly how it should be. Even the so-called ‘Lost Generation’ who can barely conjure up a decent Somali sentence have more Somalinimo in them than most of us and the loyalty and the solidarity they have for one another is something we can do with at the moment. We’re getting there and we will definitely get there Insha Allah. Peace, Love & Unity.

I will look that book up for now but still its not proven You're just arguing for the sake of it now and I don't like arguments otherwise I'd have been married by now. All you keep on doing is throw in some random names that have nothing to do with the subject of our debate without proving anything, it doesn't look good on your part. I've already proven that Adal Empire was ESTABLISHED by Sam'roon by providing you with the name of the king of Zeyla (Saylac) in the 13th Century who was indeed a Sam'roon man, I challenge you to prove the existance of Adal empire before the 13th century...YOU WON'T AND YOU CAN'T. I also challenge you to name and prove who was the ruler of Zeyla (Saylac) in the 13th century...YOU WON'T AND you CAN'T and Finally I'd like to ask you this simple question, Do you think it was possible THEN to be the monarch of a place and not be it's ruler? You can't just hide behind the 'Prove it' line all day long as you need to produce yourself an evidence that shows inaan aniga 'Taariikhda iska sameystay' like you've called it. PS. 13. This the ONLY reason why UK called for the London confrence is to make sure that these 21st century somali businessmen could be denied their right to charge tax in their own country. You think those whitemen gathered in London cared about Somalis or Somalia? Allah soomaalidu caqli yaraa! all the so-called somali madaxweynayaal went to London to be given orders as usual by their white masters and the people on this forum started arguing about Somalia, Somaliland and Puntland like the conference was actually about them...When will we ever learn? International Maritime Organization's headquarters is based in London and is it a coincedence all those that attended were it's members except for Burundi? if your so-called 'madaxweyne' tells you that danta Soomaaliya ayaa looga hadlayay shirkaas been buu sheegayaa oo cid dan ka leh Soomaali iyo Soomaaliya lama arko, Amxaaradaa howshaas reer galbeedka u qaabishan iyo sida cotton woolka indhaha nalooga saaro ee waxaa meesha looga hadlayay oo kaliya ayaa waxay tahay sida raggaan ay burcad-badeedka u bixiyeen lagu joojin lahaa so that UK can continue to reap it's billions of rewards and your beloved madaxweyne gets his cheque, the latest car and a visa to bring his close tolka to the west and then puts a pen to paper and then orders his so-called odayaasha tolka to snitch on their own sons, nephews, grandsons etc...you get the picture. Nimankani maraakiibtii oo dhan bay saxmad kuwada fureen and nobody feels safe around baddeena iyo the rest of the Indian ocean anymore and the funniest thing is, Allah s.w chose us to be on the most strategic place in the whole world! have ever you heard of Indian freaking navy? How come Bhutan wasn't invited to the confrence or Burkina Faso? every warship around Somalia meesha wuxuu u jooga danta dalkiisa iyo dadkiisa and the whole world knows about this except ANAGA. Where's Geedi Shambow when you need him? Peace, Love & Unity.
  14. Brother, The earliest recorded history of Adal empire begins from the 13th century. now we all know that the empire's capital was Zeyla (Saylac) in it's entire existance and at that time Zeyla (Saylac) was ruled by a king named Omar D. Ahmed nicknamed Aw-Barkhadle and his reign was long and successful and when he passed away his children inherited the throne. Now, I can't provide you a link to 'prove' my point as I don't believe what you find in the net these days can be deemed as authentic as anybody can post misleading 'stories' BUT what I can do is give you a name of a book and the name of an author that will answer every question you may have about Adal empire, who established it, who ran it and who were the original residents and the rightful owners of the city used to be known as 'The Light' in the muslim world but Saylac to you and me today. I've said in my earlier post and I'll say it again that the empire became a multi-ethnic MUSLIM empire afterwards and many different Somali tribes, Oromos, Afars, Hararis, Arabs (from Yemen)and Turks from the Ottoman empire all joined in because of the Jihaad against the gaalada taasoo u sahashay inay ka adkaadaan Solomonic Christian Empire. For example Imam Gurey used canons against amxaaro and portuguese which was something they've never seen before waxaana soo siiyay Ottoman Empire who sent quite a large army to help train and fight beside the Adal empire marka xaalku sidaa buu ahaa Xaajiyow ee Boqortooyadii Amxaaro Samar00n kaliyaa jabiyay inaan leeyahay ha moodin, in fact Soomaali oo dhan haday isu tagi laheyd kamaanu adkaaneen ee raggu waa lagu jihaaday oo wixii Muslim ahaa oo Horn of Africa iyo agagaarkiisa joogay (Ottoman empire from the Red Sea regiment) ayaa isugu tagay. Find a book called (Masalik Al Absaar) written by an egyptian author called Subhul Ahsha, it's not ONLY about Adal empire mind you but about all the muslim conquests, expeditions, tactics, trainings, weapons, warfares, defeats and victories through the long history of Islam. Now if you can prove me wrong then you're more than welcome to do so but if you can't (which I know you can't) then I'd like to take a break and focus on my other interest in life which it's motto reads 'Victory grows out of harmony'. Salam. Peace, Love & Unity.
  15. Carafaat, Odayaashu don’t have much to offer or much to add to what you and me already know as far as our history is concerned marka adiga baaris samee oo akhri bug kasta oo aad is leedahay waxbaad ka faaiideysaneysaa Insha Allah. It’s not going to be easy and I can assure you that it will be long boring, confusing and tiring process but eventually it will be worth it. Maadeey, Futuux Al Xabash does not mention his ethnicity but rather focuses on his military conquest which is understandable since he was not fighting for qabiil but Islam, however I’ve come across and read many books about him and they all say imaamku wuxuu ahaa Somali ku dhashay meel u dhow Zeila (Saylac) mise waxaa rabtaa inaan ku dhaho qabiil hebel uu ahaa ? Lool naga dhaaf hee widaayow. Peace, Love & Unity.

Xaaji Xunjuf;797462 wrote: Bob the walashma dynasty was prior to the adal empire true but it was not led by the Somalis at least not the leaders i was not talking about Sabr ad diin the first i was talking about Sabr ad din the second even with Jamal ad-Din II who was leading the Muslim armies into battle he was the one who defeated the Ethiopians at bale and yedaye but Bob Jamal was not a Somali but its true their capital was seylac now and days awdal and many clans lived there at that time but the sultanate did not belong to a single clan who lived in that region. Brother, read Futuh Al-Habasha and you'll realise that Sabr ad-Din II, Mansur ad-Din, Jamal ad-Din II, Shams ad-Din and general Mahfud all fought against the Solomonic Christian Empire with the help of a small army from the Adal Empire but they never managed to deafeat Amxaaro until finally the Adal empire organized an effective army led by a certain SOMALI general named Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Ghazi 'Gurey'. Now I can give you the names of qabiiladii Soomaalida ee u badnaa ciidanka Ahmed Gureey but it will be irrelevant as they were not fighing under a tribal banner but a Islamic one and it's better to leave it that way, the point is and history backs me up on this that Adal Empire was established by Samar00n and like I said in my earlier post it eventually became a multi-ethnic muslim empire otherwise it would've and could've never managed to topple and conquer Solomons christian kingdom. Ghenghis Khan was a mongol but do you think his army were all Mongols? There were thousands of Turks, Chinese, Koreans and beleive it or not his advisors and consultants included Muslims, Christians and Budhists and yet nobody mentions them simply because they were not fighting for Mongolia but for their greed and lust, same goes for Alexander 'The Great' not all his army were Greeks or Macedonians, in fact there were more non-greeks and macedonians in the army ranks but still history ignores them and gives all the credit to Alexander and Temujin and so is the case with Adal Empire. Peace, Love & Unity.

  20. Xaaji Xunjuf;797236 wrote: Bob Adal Empire had nothing to do with the clan you mentioned Sabr ad-Din was not from that clan matter in-fact the entire sultanate had nothing to do with that particular clan you mentioned. Brother, You're talking about an entirely different kettle of fish here called Walashma dynasty that ruled Ifat sultunate in Harar. Their earliest recorded history dates back to 12th century and almost all the prominent historians agree that their earliest known king was called Omar Ibn Dunya-huz who passed away in 1275 and their last ruler of this dynasty was Sultan Barakat Ibn Omar Din who was defeated and driven away from his home of Harar by amxaaro army under general Hamalmal in 1559 and as for Sabr Ad-Din I, He didn't even make it beyond 1330's as he was defeated and captured by the Amxaaro. According to Futūḥ al-Ḥabasha, after the death of Sa'ad Ad-din II, the Adal empire succeeded the Ifat kingdom and continued waging war against the Solomonic christian empire in Ethiopia. History shows that Adal empire was larger and more powerful than Walashma dynasty. They had the largest and the best trained army in the entire peninsula hence the size of the land conquered and ruled by the empire. The single most crucial element that helped the empire to remain strong for so long was Islam and that brought many other Somali tribes and many other tribes that lived and still live in the horn of africa under the empire and in the later stages the umpire became multi-ethnic that fucntioned under the single banner of Islam. Adal empire ruled the horn of Africa from 1415-1555 and the capital of the empire in it's entire existance was Zeila (Saylac) and the official languages were Somali, Oromo, Afar and Arabic. Odaygii intuu indhaha budhug budhug ka siiyay ayuu wuxuu wiilkii ku dhahay ‘ aaway odayaasha qolodiina?’ ‘gabarta anigaa kaa guursanaya ee qolodeyda ma guursaneyso, odaygii I dhalay anigoo yar ayuu geeriyooday, wiilna aniga kaliya ayuu iga tagay, adeer aan ka ahayn kuwaan isku qolada nahayna ma lihi, sababta aan saaxiibaday usoo watayna ma aha inaan ahay nin aan tol lahayn laakiin iyagaan ka jeclahay ugana kal soonahay kuwa aan isku qolada nahay ee aabo waxaan kaa codsanayaa inaad gabartaada isiiso’. Odaygii intuu xoogaa yara aamusay ayuu wuxuu ku yiri ‘Gabarta markay ii sheegtay inaad igasoo doonaneyso ayaa waxaan masaajidka isku aragnay odayga qolodiina u weyn oo aan saaxiib run ah nahay wuxuuna ii sheegay inaad tahay nin karti badan oo mas’uul ah shaqeystana and most importantly ahlu salaad ah oo aan wax balwad ahna laheyn marka adeer gabarta waan ku siiyay waxaan kaloo intaa kuugu darayaa waxaad tahay nin geesi ah sababtoo ah manta waxaad jabisay xeer iyo dhaqan soomaali u yaalay weligeed oo ah inaanan saaxiibadaa gabadha kuu doonin ee ay qolodaada odayaasheeda gabdhaha doonaan taasna waan kaa cafiyay ee mar dambe ha u noqon’. The moral of the story is, Soomaali hadaan nahay weligeen waan is dili jirnay, waan is dhici jirnay laakiin hadana gogol ayaa lawada fadhiisan jiray oo meesha ayaa mag iyo waxii la doono lagu kala qaadan jiray, goormee amxaaro iyo keenyaati garteena goyn jireen? Goormuu gaalo madoow iyo gaalo cadba danteena ka talin jireen? Soomaali hadaan nahay waan is fahmeenaa oo wax naga hallaawi lahaa ma jiraan laakiin waxaa nagu dhex jira kuwo lacag lagu siiyo inay danta soomaaliyeed fowdeeyaan oo qabiil iyo qashin nagala dhammaan la’a and as long as those monkeys have support be it on SOL or maqaaxida aad shaaha ka cabto weligeen saan baan adduunka u dawarsaneynaa oo amxaaro iyo keenyaati cagtooda hoosteeda ugu jireynaa. ^^^and that’s the end of my rant…this is your fellow brother from Kismayo BOB reporting LIVE from Xaliimo Cadeey. 24. Before you all come to a conclusion I suggest you should read the Somali history and read well and I'm not talking about the so-called history that your tribesmen invented over a cup of tea just to delude you and themselves but the proper history from the 1st century BC (Yes we existed before Jesus, the son of mary...peace be upon him ) how many of you know that we've been business orientated people doing business with the greeks and the roman sailors long before Garissa lodge in Eastleigh? Most people know of the Osman sultunate in Bari but how many Somalis know there were three more powerful and more successful Somali sultanates before that? The Adal sultunate (led by Sam'r00n) in North West, Biyomaal sultunate in South and Ajur'an sultunate in South and Central. Following the collapse/defeats of Adal and Ajur'an. in the early and late 17th century, Somalia saw the growth and gradual rise of many successor city-states such as the Sultanates of eastern Sanaag of Bari and of Hobyo and from 1884 colonial powers swamped Somalia and brought our long and proud history down to it's knees and as history will show we've never recovered from that to this day. Peace, Love & Unity.
