  1. Gediid 'Every government in Somaliland so far from Tuur to Egal to now Riyaale had one thing in common, that is their aspiration to see a United Somalia but the one force they are scared sh!tless is the wrath of the people if they dare utter the dreaded word Somaliweyn. I guess that is how peoples power works but trust me our leader's intensions have never been hidden from us. Those morons know they are safe so long as they sing to our tunes and dance to our beats. we expect those jerks to maintain what has been achieved thus far till the orphans who grew up in the refugees camps are old enough to be the leaders of tommorrow.' Hear! hear! Brother you have hit the nail smack on the head. Rather than the rest of Somalis admit what a rotten buch their 'leaders' are, they try to call them heroes and they sing like a 'warlords' canary and praise every move of these 'patriots'. Anyone who has been around the world and seen how the children and grandchildren of pre and post Siad government officials are living on money robbed from the poor Nomads would not call them heroes and would not qoute from their speaches. If these 'cyber guulwades' claim to have countless degrees from a number of universities are not smart enough to see how little control they have over their destiny, what hope should we have for the teenegers and young men and women who has been living under the guns of the malitias for the last 12 years? I sometimes find it sad when I see people who of all the countries they could pick, they chose to compete against Somaliland. Is it just me, or do you all find it embarassing when people boast about bigger goat markets and mobile phones than Somaliland. How can some people have so little expectation of themselves and everything around them? Somaliland is a country on its way up and my hope and expectations of it are way beyond what exist anywhere around it and certainly not in the Horn of Africa. ---------------------------------- A N*GGE*R WOULD BOAST ABOUT TAKING CARE OF HIS KID AND NOT BEING IN JAIL - CHRIS ROCK
  2. GURAAD Someone who is confident about the ownwership of something does not go round telling everyone they own it. Son, if you were confident you owned SS&H you would not start a topic with the name '' SS&H is part of Somali''. .............. Has anyone seen HornAfrique lately?
  3. Bari and sweathearts, i see the funny side when you lot call us Qaat chewing musicians but you tear your Macawiis when I call you fishmongers. Its ok for yous to call for some Somalilanders to join Abdillahi Yusuf dictatorship in Puntland on tribal grounds but I am called every name under the sky for speaking on behalf of its victims sheltered in Hargeisa. Even when we side with President Riyaale we are 'defending the former NSS Commander'. The truth is all Somalilanders are equal under my eyes and I hope all of my Qabiil goes to heaven . The rest of you i just hope your boats don't capsize, nothing more. Since you have avoided most the things in prevous post, let me ask you this; WHAT IS YOUR LOYALTY TO ABDILLAHI YUSUF'S MUDEROUS ADMINISTRATION BASED ON?
  4. GEDIID '...sliced up Togdheer to create Sool, cut up Wogooyi Galbeed to make Awdal and told the poor refugees from Somali Galbeed that Hargeisa was theirs...' They either know this or they are not as smart as we think they are. . Gediid you forgot the most heinous crime which was the land stolen under the cover of 'daba dheer' droughts. ............................................ Give them an inch they take a yard Give them a yard they take a mile Once a man, twice a child And everything is just for a little while BOB MARLEY
  5. The dignified Cameroon players have always a represented Africa better than Senegal and Nigerian teams with their blonde hair and earings. One thing I might add, did you see the picture of Foe with his hand hanging aside? If this was Beckham would the newspapers do this to him? I think not.
  6. Samurai .. you are not suggesting we should not speak of, nor care about the missteps of the officails in the admistration, are you? Your reaction to Edna Ismaciil's truthful comments brings a whole new meaning to Lander's quote-'They all raise a loud virtuous outcry when the truethfulness is even hinted at in the remotest manner' qoute. How obsurd is it for you to claim that she(Edna) is 'walking over a no longer bed ridden recuparation Somalia' when to the same sight talks of child killings? and taday's story is more chaos than ever. This is not the first time I've seen you and some Puntu Somalis in the forum jump to defend the warlords. The way you attacked Sayfulaa for opening a topic on the warlords comes across as hypocritical considerng you want to 'speak of' and 'care about' Somaliland's government. Phoney phrases used in here might work to fool foreigners laakin if i may quote Gediid's famous words 'cut the bull ppl we r somalis not mareykan.. runta isku sheegaa', so i will. Samurai and my co are quick to 'speak of' Somaliland issues while calling the Abdillahi Yusuf dictatorship on the Cape Guardafui 'Puntland administration'. The scavenging warlords gathering in Nairobi is 'Somali National Conference'. The phrase that takes the Muufo is a plan created by group led by a Gaal who openly opposes Islam being dubbed by 'harmonization team which (with a draft) written by learned individuals from abroad'. LOL. I am not asking Samurai or Puntu Somalis to change their submisive nature or attitute towards the warlords, I am demanding you let the ones ( like Edna Ismaciil and Sayfulah)who bother to speak up against them be allowed to do it on behalf of the victims back home without being insulted and their abilities and qualifications questioned.
  7. Mobb Depp cograts? Thanks. I know why I joined the this forum, but still don't have a clue who or what i've joined. Alien membership had street cred and suited my avatar, what previlages does nomad get apart from being a part of a secretive organisation? The Sool/Sanaag article was used to silence one wing of the Somaliland lobby. Justice was not done and atleast seen not be done. Any gown up can see the rest of the gang are still with us, (some are high ranking officials ) still asking the same trick questions thinking they won't be facing the devastating counter punching power of the long gone brothers and sisters. How wrong they are! Since no one has stepped into the shoes of the ones missing in action I WILL.
  8. Child killings, faltering 'peace talks' and flight bans in Somalia - Where does Samurai get the nerve and time to chose a story about Somaliland? . Thanks you very much, i enjoyed reading that .
  9. University can be a place where young people discover how they are expected to live their lives. Usually it is young people who have not only strong beliefs but also basic knowledge of pillars of Islam, Iman and Ixsaan. Anyone who does not know what the Qur'an says about creation will not be able to spot the lies and faults in Biology or 'Science' classes . How can one study Big Bang and evolution theories if they don't what they believe in in the first place? Why study social sciences when don't have the knowledge to compare it with what Islam says about society? Surat Yusuf verse 22; 'when he attained his maturity, We gave him wisdom and knowledge: thus do we reward those who do good.' Knowledge and wisdom are clearly two different things. If you want both you got to make Duca. RABBI ZIDNA CILMAN WA RUZUQNA FAHMAA. AMIIN.
  10. The tragic incident in Hargeisa raises a few important question among Somalilanders. The most important one has been posted by Angel Dust, 'what constitutes treason and what constitute political freedom?' . The question is; where is the thin red line between the two? Allowing opposing opionions is a good thing - what if the former Chief of Police want to invite a few hoodlums from Nairobi to meet in Hargeisa, should that be allowed or is it treason? If this about opinions then the Police Chief and his chums should have presented it to Somalilanders in the recent elections before claiming to represent us in Nairobi. I think the airport situation was bad handled, but you can't say Somaliland does not exist and expect first class service at the airport from people who worked so hard to rebuild it. Barinomad are you advocating another Somali Police state? No. The former Chief of Police is a police state on legs. He just wants his old job back and anyone who supports the Nairobi gathering is guilty of of advocating a police state. How can you people who support the grand gathering of the most evil in Kenya lecture us on the state of our beloved Somaliland? You wish you had a police state in Somalia;) . Samurai .are you condoning the loss of life, the injuries and the damage due to political beliefs? This sort of thing might be a common in most Somali region but very rare in Hargeisa and Somaliland in general. Shock and sadness has been the reaction to the loss of a life from all Somalilanders i've spoken to. What happened should not be allowed to be the norm otherwise we will be like other Somali regions. This is just a reminder how much harder we need to work and we don't need this sort of bad news from people who are competing to be the ones to tell us first and a few times after that. Viva The Republic Of Somalinad! Viva!
  11. Since when did did I become a Nomad Member? am i being rewarded for my impecable behavior or is it a bribe to keep me quiet? ---------------------------------------------- 'I DON'T CARE TO BELONG TO A CLUB THAT ACCEPTS PEOPLE LIKE ME AS MEMBERS' - GROUNCHO MARX.
  12. Filssan have seen the bit in the film Colour Purple where someone says to Whoopi Goldberg; 'you sure is ugly!'? lol I not sure the people in North America know Victoria Beckham or Posh Spice. Most people in the UK think she is gorgeous, but everytime I see her picture or on tv she looks like someone trying to snif something above her asking whats that smell?. I guess thats why they say; Beauty is in the eyes of the beerholder .
  13. I think the question is it Somali or Soomaali?
  14. If this allPuntland story is true, then it shows Riyaale has little if any political maturity more than the individuals who even dare go to that Nairobi gathering. It is sad to hear about the loss of life but the people involved should have known better than taking the law into their own hands. I don't think Riyaale should be worried about people who are trying to make a living out the handouts being shared in Kenya, he should concentrate on helping the people rebuilding Somaliland.
  15. Hornafriq let me try to explain what I 'understood'; That article was posted on the 21st of June, which is also known as the summer solostice or the most important day for witches, wiccans and pagans. Thats why Harry Potter was launched on this day! I was online till midnight London time just waiting to catch any Extra Sixirlow activity on SOL . Just as i was about to give up and retire i switched from the Islam section for one more inspection and bingo! 666 had just sent a greeting card to all members of his circle  ! Does that flag look like them ones used by those masons? What about the shady story about road buildebergs in Awdal? Is the redneck standing in the middle of a lodge? I admit being a big fan of conspiracy theories, I sometimes stare at Libaax ST avatar and wonder; what if the man behind it is not a Nomad but a Yido with thick spectacles wearing a skull cap with dangling sideburns to boot? So please don't take what I wrote so serious but how did that chap get the number 666? Did he have to re-appear on night this spooky night? Acudu billah mina shaytaan rajiim.
  16. Al-hajj Malik El-Shabazz's (Malcom X) Letter from Mecca "Never have I witnessed such sencere hospitality and overwhelming spirit of true brotherhood as is practiced by the people of all colors and races here in this ancient Holy Land, the home of Abraham and Muhammad and all the Prophets of the Holly Scriptures. For the past week, I have been utterly speachless and spellbound by the graciousness I see displayed all around me by people of all colors." "I have been blessed to visit the Holly city of Mecca, I have made my seven circuits around the Ka'ba, led by a young Mutawaf named Muhammad, drank water from the well of Zam Zam. I ran seven times between the hills of Mt. Al- Safa and Al Marwah. I have prayed in the ancient city of Mina, I have prayed on Mt Arafat." "There were tens of thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. They were of all colors, from blue-eyed blondes to black-skinned Africans. But we were all participating in the same ritual, displaying the spirit of unity and brotherhood that my expiriences in America had led me to believe never could exist between the white and non-white." "America needs to understand Islam, because this is the one religion that erases from its society the race problem. Thoughout my travel in the Muslim world, I have met, talk to, and even eaten with people who in America would have been considered white - but the white attitude has was removed from their minds by the religion of Islam. I have never before seen sencere and true brotherhood practiced by all colors together, irrespective of their color" "You maybe be shocked by these word comming from me. But on this pilgrimage, what I have seen, and experienced, has forced to rearrange much of thought-patterns previously held, and to toss aside some of my previous conclusions. This was not difficult for me. Despite my firm convictions, I have always been a man who tries to face the facts, and to accept the reality of life as new experience and new knowledge unfolds it. I have always kept an open mind, which is necessary to the flexibility that must go hand in hand with every form of intelligent search for truth." "During the past eleven days in the Muslim world, I have eaten from the same plate, drunk from the same glass and slept on the same rug - while praying to the same God - with my fellow Muslims, whose eyes were the bluest of blue, whose hair was blondest of blonde, and whose skins were the whitest of white. And in the words and in the deeds of the white Muslims, I felt the same sencerety that I felt among the black Africans Muslims of Nigeria, Sudan and Ghana." "We were truly all the same (brothers) - because their belief in one God removed the white from their mind, the white from their behavior, and the white from their attitude." "I could see from this, that perhaps if the white Americans could accept the Oneness of God, then perhaps, too, they could could accept the Oneness of Man - and cease to measure, and hinder, and harm others in terms of their 'differences' in color." "With racism plaguing America like an incurable cancer, the so-called 'Christian' white American heart should be more receptive to a proven solution to such a destrucive problem. Perhaps it could be in time to save America from imminent disaster - the same destruction brought upon Germany by racism that eventually destroyed Germans themselves." "Each hour here in the Holly Land enables me to have greater spiritual insights into what is happening in America between black and white. The American Negro never can be blamed for his racial animosities - he is only reacting to four hundred years of the conscious racism of the American whites. But as racism leads America up the suicide path, I do believe, from the expiences I have had with them, that the whites of the younger generations, in colleges and universities, will see the handwriting on the walls and many of them will turn to the spiritual path of truth - the only way left for America to ward off the disaster that racism inevitably must lead to" "Never before have I been so highly honored. Never have I been made to feel more humble and unworthy. Who would believe the blessing that have been heaped upon an American Negro? A few nights ago a man who would be called in America white man, a United Nations diplomat, an ambassodor, a companion of kings, gave me his hotel suite, his bed. Never would I have even thought of dreaming that I would ever be a recipient of such honors - honors that in America would be bestowed upon a King - not a Negro." "All praises is due to Allah, the Lords of the Worlds. Sincerely, Al-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz(Malcom X) ----------------------------------- The letter above was written to his assistant and the piece below is from his autobiography. "I am not a racist... In the past I permitted myself to be used... to make sweeping indictments of all white people, the entire white race, and these generalizations have caused injuries to some whites who perhaps did not deserve to be hurt. Because of the spiritual elightment which I was blesed to recieve as the result of my recentpilgrimage to the Holy City of Macca, I no longer subscribe to sweeping indictments of any one race. I am now striving to live the life of a Sunni. I must repeat that I am not a racist nor do I subscribe to the tenets of racism. I can state in all sincerety that I wish nothing but freedom, justice, equality, life, liberty and persuit of happiness for all my people." ...................... FROM INSTITUTE FOR ISLAMIC EDUCATION
  17. Although the SOL guys are doing a good job, I think there is still work to be done. Some of the editing and deleting make some posts worthless. Here is one for example posted by Libaax ST; 'Iska horimaadkaas oo ka dhashay beer lagu muransan yahai waxa uu dhexmaray laba malleeshiyo oo ka soo jeeda ardaayda ******* iyo *******' This sort of editing can be frustrating and makes it difficult to understand what the fuss in the article is all about. I also find it odd that admin and moderators have not nothing to say about the topic titled 'do u agree with the term ADOONS?'. I think this term can be more hurtful than the ones banned in this forum. I don't think this common Somali word should be banned, but it depends on how it used and so should be the Qabiil names. Lastly there some things we don't talk about in public where we come from especially in front of children. Is this an adults only forum? Don't you think some of the topics in the Islam forum should have some age restrictions or atleast some warnings  .
  18. Lander I hope you know that John Kerry is Yahudi too! This 'war hero' admits that his commando unit killed innocent civilians in Vietnam but denies he changed his Yidish name to fool the Irish in Massachusetts.
  19. Am I the only one who misses Sami-gyrl? I hope not. I think there is more to the silence than the new rules and bannings. If you guys have noticed, Hornafrique hardly posts anything. This might be due to the fact that his favourite site (allafrica) has nothing but bad news from home. As for the people banned most of them were good at starting topics, whereas the rest of us are good at quoting quoted quotes, as Libaax ST put it. If there are lawyers in the forum, please make an appeal for the Sool/Sanaag five or was it seven?
  20. AYOUB

    Good Bye All

Your last post was on the 17/6/03, have changed your mind about secluding yourself or you are back with us? . You remind me of some people back home who say goodbye to get some money and after the tears and hugs they never go nowhere.
  21. Entrepreneur akhii(or do u prefer walaal ), there is a xadiith which advises us to give beautiful names to our children because on the day of Qiyaama they will be called out by them. I don't know what you ment by 'so called muslim names' but I wouldn't want to called out as 'Shaxshaxlow Cawrala!' on this important day.
  22. Bro you had all that to chose from and you went for Entebereneur or whatever it is !!! OG Girl be careful, some of the above names do have tribal connotations .
  23. First of all, i'm just checking if i'm one of those 'few others' banned. Did you leave that topic long enough till all flies landed on it?
  24. Over the last few months, soft drinks with the names Qibla and Mecca cola have appeared in Europe. These brands are Muslim owned and promise to donate a certain percentage of their profit to charity. As someone who is pro Muslim-owned business ventures I first thought it was a good idea but i'm begging to have some doubts. Is the use of these names( Qibla and Mecca) commercialization of places we regard as sacred? Is it wise to copy products considered symbols of capitalism?. Please help me!
  25. Baashi, i agree with most of your original post too bro, but then again, what is trivial to me might be important to some. Entreprenuer, its the second time you mentioned flags and nicknames. If i recall correctly your first post gave three examples before you editing. I don't find anything wrong with those nicknames or their avatars. They might give a clue to where the person is from, but what is wrong with that? Your mind gave tribes to the nicknames and avatars, so don't you it is you who has a problem? Let us asume for a sec that the nicknames or avatars have tribal connotations, why should that bother you? Even the Qur aan said we were devided into nations and tribes so that we may recognise each other. I believe it is a good thing that people from all regions, countries and background can come to this forum and express themselves. If they want to make the place more vibrant with their drums and banners thats cool too. That's just my opinion. Xiis Toloow meesha ma waxaley NSSti hore. LOL you always make me laugh. Lets hope not.
