Arab leaders must rise to regional challenges, President declares as Arab Summit opens in Kuwait
His Excellency President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud today arrived in Kuwait City for the Arab League summit.
The President said: “Arab nations need to rise to the challenges that collectively face us. We lag behind in terms of human development and we need to do much better adapting our political institutions to the twenty-first century. The old models haven't worked. We must now demonstrate unity of purpose if we are to make the progress our people deserve.”
Arab leaders will be discussing resolutions on the crisis in Syria and the Arab peace initiative.
Arab countries were important diplomatic and development partners as Somalia was rebuilding its economy and political institutions, the President said. He will have a series of bilateral meetings with Arab leaders focused on a range of issues.
“We will be discussing peace-building initiatives and development projects and updating our colleagues on the success we are having in our offensive against Al Shabaab,” the President said. “After the military victory against our enemies we will be looking to find a lasting solution to the conflict and repeat our unconditional offer to work with all Somalis who renounce violence. We are all Somalis and must join forces to rebuild our country.”
Malister this is called "rhetoric"....
In the Arab league Somalia is a joke a basket case that is never stable or of any benefit to the Arab world.
Most Arab countries actually wonder why Somalia is even a member. A Somalilander led the process of getting the somali republic into the Arab league did you know that??
Add that to my list of achievements hahaha...
However today all Hassan shieck went there for was " please me want some monies"
We all know Somalia is there for the $$$$
You don't know what the future holds. Maybe one day Somalia might be the strongest country in that group.
Don't laugh. Because the Arabians from the ARabian Peninsula were poorer than Somalia one day.
Odayga casharka loo soo qoray si fiican ugama bixin.
Waxuu muteystay in loo duubo oo washamsi lagu qaado
Ma ogid miyaa, Culosow Dhangad macalin waxba kama tarto.
Odeygu wuxuu ahaa kuwa maalin walba macalinku garaaci jiray markay casharka kasoo bixi waayaan.
All jokes aside, I must say the President looks very presidential in those photos. My only hope is that he begins to walk the walk better than he talks the talk, if you see my meaning.
If the socalled arab org could muster any unity they would help one of the must important arab country, Syria. The days of the arab league is gone. Memberstates only send low level delegates now , only Somalia and smaller country send the president.
^The Arab league messed things up they failed to defend the Syrian nation from Terrorists , when it was Hafid Assad and Michel Aflaq were the founding fathers of the Arab league. And the Arab states are watching how Syria is being destroyed by irhaabist very sad to see.
^ I dont care who founded the arab. League. The reality of today is that Syria and its people are slaugthered by Bashar and his fellow criminals. Do you know that Syrian refugees are forced to sell their kidneys on the black market to survive the winter ? This is absulute unacceptable and the world have forgot them. Xaaji assad is the enemy of syrians surely you must understand that.
Somali Naago Movement Traitors going mad whahahahahaha
Ninyahow aflagaadadan aad iyaantan caadada kadhigatay jooji.
Waxaagu xadka way dhaafeen ee isku xishood saaxiib.
^^ Dont worry he will be banned soon.
The Syrian struggle has been hijacked by Terrorists from Saudi Arabia , it was first a range of protests similar what happened in other arab states Egypt Tunisia and Libya , but later islamists factions on steroids extremists Thugs hijacked the Syrian struggle For reform. Today Asad is an angel compared what the Terrorists are doing. Asad is a dictator no one is denying this and a real successor is need to help the Syrian people. Now the Syrian people are between a rock and a hard place. Its heart breaking to see so many refugees over 350.000 scattered all over the middle east.
Xaaji Habaar Xun, banning would be like defending secessionists.
