The macrobians were an ancient group of people living in the Horn of Africa along the golf of adan and the red sea they were a nomadic community had a hierarchy of Kings and were traders and merchants

I'm a history buff so its interesting to come across something you never heard of before. There are ancient graves along the coast and regions surrounding the coast of large graves of what appear to be giant humans. camel milk and meat is a staple diet however historically it doesn't make sense. The camel is a new factor introduced into East Africa from Arabia. The land scape in somaliland during these times was more lush and green. The camel became an asset as desertification took hold. Across somaliland hundreds of dry river beds are testimony to this.

 

The people who lived in somaliland during these times were primarily Oromo or what later became known as gala who had small domesticated livestock.

 

Some truth to this micro or whatever people but the story is lot more complicated then meets the eye.

 

Proper archeology is required to uncover the truth.

the term ‘somali’ has to all intent and purposes become harmfully soiled forever and calling your country Somaliland – combines the two prong legacies of colonialism and the failed reunification and subsequent events proceeding. anything with ‘somali’ evokes negativity and wreck any potential progress and development.

 

the golis mountain range covers about 45% of Somaliland’s land mass from east to west. it also represents the symbolic ideal of unity, unity of a people so closely interlinked, yet, whose inability to unite for a common cause has meant a limbo of sorts and unending purgatory.the changes necessary for such a transformations should start with the immediate obliteration from memory with anything associated with the term ‘somali’, whether prefixed or suffixed. Somaliland MUST be renamed Golisia and its citizens Golisians. the language should be renamed Golisiyana and written in a different script, if necessary and re-branded to make it a closely related but uniquely different to the olde somali language. a new capital city MUST be built in Oog to achieve a geographically balance.

 

these plans will only require a 2/3 majority in both house to be implemented as per the constitution. Golisia is not too far from its deserved place among the countries of the world. hollywood celebrities like ben stiller, Cameron Diaz and the likes of Bono from U2 are to be enlisted and lucrative deals signed to use the rights to the plight of Golisia and Golisians to attract media attention from the most remote and least densely populated corners of Latvia.

 

for 21 years the name ‘Somaliland’ has crippled our destiny, aspirations and collective will. admittedly, it should be noted too that we’ve chosen the wrong path in achieving recognition. how many more years will the good people of somaliland be reliant on the deeqbixiyasha and speculate on the direction of our cursed neighbouring country. victory belongs to those who strive for it. we are at such a critical juncture in our history. and ultimately success belongs to those who take what’s rightfully theirs and by any means necessary….indeed.

Why chose an obscure name like "Macrobia" which is historically dubious? The location of that imaginary kingdom is unknown, some say Abyssinia or India or the horn (Similar to Punt). Changing the name to Golisia will not fix the problem, you can't erase history and pretend to be different people,If you spoke a different language and looked remotely different or even adopted a different religion (I suggest a different Abrahamic religion )then you can call yourself whatever you like( I don't take the afrohashimite nonsense seriously).

Somaliland is the sucessor of the ancient sultante of Adal./ Cadal. It could rename itself after that. Ex Somaliland sultante of Adal. And the people adalis. I think that name will be better.

in 1991 we took the Somaliland name for legal reasons not because the people liked it the name Golis was considered but people considered a bit dull. i think Macrobia is perfect it will not confuse Somaliland with Somalia , the same way Djibouti is not confused with Somalia. Many countries changed their name Congo for example and many others the name was first called Zaire. we can also keep both Germany is called Germany and Deutschland.. The Netherlands is also called Holland. and many other countries in the world. Macrobians are the Somalilanders tall handsome long livety lived in southern Egypt warrior like. Macrobia sounds like the name of a dangerous bacteria. i think the republic of somaliland should go for the name change immediately.
