Mogadishu (RBC) Somali cabinet of ministers have on Sunday endorsed a new agreement with a Turkish company

called Al Bayrak which will manage Mogadishu seaport, RBC Radio reports. “The council of ministers unanimously

endorsed the agreement by the Ministry of Ports and Public Works with Al Bayrak company to manage the seaport

of Mogadishu in the coming 20 years.” A press statement from the Prime Minister’s office said. According to the press

statement, Al Bayrak will reconstruct, modernize and develop Mogadishu seaport. Another Turkish owned company,

Favori has been granted 20 years agreement to lead the management and handling services of the Mogadishu’s Aden

Abdulle Airport.

Che - I actually see this as a good move compared to SKA however alot of somali businesses are complaining that the bedding procces was not done fairly. Anyway good luck musuqmaasuq iyo walewayne ma kala fuuga.

The Turkish may own the Mogadishu port but Mogadishu is the capital of the Somalis in Hargeisa , so what is the point?

I was flabargasted reading these numbers first off but I then understood how Somalis poorly interpret numbers!. He probaly meant an increment of 300,000 to 6.5 million.

Lol Maybe the southerners think $6.5 million revenue is a achievement, somebody should tell them Somaliland is making

$200+ million from the airport and port revenues. That is what you call effective management.

I thought that Mogdishu seaport was closed for 20 + years plus welldone for reopening the seaport mr cambullow.
