Peace conference between Godane and Hassan sh is much easier, than to reason with Ahmed madoobe.

Recommended Posts

Alshabaab and the Somali government need to come to an agreement and the Shabaab militants need to put down their weapons and secure the nation with the legitimate president of the country. They still can play a role in the future of Somalia and they should be given a role in the Somali government. But they need to denounce homicide attacks Alqaeda and all that makes Somalia a terrorist nest.

Right now the Somali government is in a political conflict with Kenya. Alshabaab have shown they are strong and affective on the ground they even attacked Kenya on their own soil. There is no way the Somali government can agree with Ahmed madoobe a former Shabaab member who believes he is a president of a city, it will be a major win for the government if they make peace with the Shabaab leaders.

And incorporate the entire Shabaab forces into the Somali defense forces. Ahmed madoobe will refuse to cooperate with the Somali government and the government should not waste its precious time.Currently the Alshabaab militants controls the middle jubba signification portions of the lower jubba. If the SFG works out some sort of peace deal with the Alshabaab leaders the government can move into those area's Amisom Kenyan forces could be sidelined government forces will fill the vacuum.

A good way for talks to start is that the government would agree with Shabaab that the government supports the removal of Kenya and Ethiopia the 2 neighbors of Somalia from the country. Alshabaab than has to accept on their turn to be incorporated into the government and the defense forces and denounce violence and homicide attacks. It will be a win win and a compromise because the government wins the support of Shabaab at the same time it can get rid of the Kenyans. While Shabaab can get rid of atleast 50% of the foreign forces in Somalia.

I dont hate Ahmed madoobe I dont know the fella , just giving the government an idea that it has other options by the way its not just about Jubbaland its about the entire country. Imagine Alshabaab and the SFG coming to a peace agreement that would be historic.

Godane doesn't have to have a seat i dont think political seats is a problem here ,what we want is peace in Somalia and a stronger Somalia. Why are people against peace with alshabaab are they not Somalis?

you are comparing apples with oranges as you always do, the ICU were led by moderate leaders such as sheekh shariif & sheekh m.ibrahim, but Alshabaab holds alqaeda ideology which is to fight till death or victory as they see all regimes as DAAQUUT, there is no way Alshabaab will be incorporated into the government. these guys are hard core man.

Moonlight sh sharif was as extreme as Alshabab he just changed his mind because he was promised something Sh sharif called for the killings of the foreigners so did Abu Qutayba and his other friends. I believe if talks happen they can agree , by the way there are extreme members in Alshabaab but there are other elements to.President hassa has spoken about it he wants peace with shabaab, He wants the foreigners out but he wishes to reach an agreement with shabaab.

Sheekh shariif never held AQ ideology, he was a normal islamic teacher and a member of the Islamic courts but was angered by the ethiopian invasion and took arms, but these alshabab guy who were under ceyrow broke away from the main stream of ICU and formed their own group, look at the history of AQ groups in the islamic world e.g Afghanstan, Iraq, Mali, Algeria, they never sat with authority or negotiate with them, even if they do, as we know the leaders of these groups are wanted by the USA and they know they will be handed over the minute they disarm, so for them its a matter of life or death.

A peace agreement with Al shabaab when they are at their last throes is a sign of weakness. Godane the terrorist and the killer of hundreds of thousands should be targeted and killed. I hope to God that he and all who shelter him are destroyed.
