xiinfaniin Posted March 20, 2013 Somali Forces Re-Capture Aw Diinle From Al-Shabaab Wednesday, March 20, 2013 Somali soldiers, backed by Ethiopian troops, recaptured Aw Diinle town from al-Shabaab militants who temporarily took control of the town a day earlier, Somalia's Warhaye reported Tuesday (March 19th). The takeover followed a lengthy battle between the militants and allied Somali National Army and Ethiopian forces, said Bardaale district commissioner Mohamed ****. Somalia's Kulmiye Radio reported at least seven casualties, but did not specify on which side. Aw Diinle, in Bay region, is 30 kilometres west of Baidoa.
