That enemy currently doesn't exist just for example a group of Somalis believe that Kenya is their ally another group believes Ethiopia is their ally another group believes Uganda is their ally. There is no real enemy when it comes to Somalis. We created these enemies , Ethiopia would have not been our enemy if we didn't claim the O'gaden as part of the Somali republic the same with Kenya.

Somali Kenyans who are mostly OG will not come back to Somalia, keep dreaming. and if Og-aden becomes independent we will not join Somalia. We might form a state with Jubbaland though.

Just because you're 'one' people doesn't mean you have to be one country. Look at the Levantines -- Syrians and Lebanese and even Jordanians are the same people but not same country.

Same goes for south/north Korea.

Ethno nationalism should never be a base for a country national identity, Albania and kosovo are ethnic Albanians, Somaliweyn is like people who advocate for greater Albania parts of Macedonia parts of serbia. Or people who advocate Tigray Eritrea unity,or the people who call for the unity of Rwanda and Burundi. Unity if it is not based on equality based on mutual interest it never works you will only get more conflict.I did not even mention the Arab Nations the Khaleeji one why would one khaleej country be under the other. The only way i can possibly think a Somaliweyn can ever exist is if there is giant political unity institution such as the European union. But every country keeps its national status identity country government army but it will be one of cooperation only. But i doubt we can even reach that style of cooperation in our life time. U just have to look at the Mogadishu Jubbaland conflict. Or the Somalia Somaliland conflict

Guys, guys, The "Somali Plate" is splitting from Africa. Not too far into the distant future, Somaliwein will be inevitable, fait accompli. Somalia will be an Island, the world's first Banana Republic, in the literal sense. Until then chill people

 in 10 million years or so, will the human race even survive that long ? its doubtful, the way earth is busy being destroyed. i don't support Somaliweyn at all, one has to be pragmatic and work within international rules and norms first, but more importantly who can argue NFD, kilinka 5'aad and Djibouti are better off united with the world's ultimate failed state. Somalis are like irresponsible children who need adult supervision.

who cares what times happan Xaaji, it will happen. meanwhile, let me on Chimera hat, and suggest we become a navel superpower so that no one dare claim any part of our soon to be Island, especially the Ethios and kenyans.

Warsamaale, believe it or not Somalia was on its way to being a powerful progressive African State and until we decided Qabiil was more important then Qaran. First Democrats in Africa were Somalis. Arguably one of the best military. The revolutionary almost eradicated illiteracy within a few years. so on and so on. this is temprary, when Somalia gets act toghether there will be no better place for Somalis in th NFD, Oden, and Jibuti then Somalia.

Whats the point of talking what is going to happen in the next 500 to 1000 years if not more who knows if the world even exists maybe it will jawmal qiyaama before that. Somaliweyn is an idealistic concept but it has no real strong foundation on the ground, i dont see how Somalis in Kenya can gain independence when oil was just found, there is a chance the Somali region of Ethiopia to be free. But i doubt that they want to be under Somalia.

well, what we do today effects tomorrow wither that is 10 days or ten hundred years down the road. Not sure if there is any point to anything we talk about here wither its to do with this or anything else. Somaliweyn is an ideal but isn't the objective always to strive towards a better tomorrow? Founditions, on the other hand, depend on us to build or rather reinforce because our people have been fighting for that cause for hundreds of years. Oil or no Oil, the will of the people can't be suppressed forever. Remember, that tiny, cash strapped nation next spain was once a superpower, and it is said there was a time that the Sun did not set on the English Empire but we see what it is today. Who is to say, Somali will not the more powerful nation of the three in the future?
