Can someone explain?

War I heard it from odayaal from baadiyaha and my old macalin who grew up in baadiyaha. These are guys that travel/travelled between NFD, Jubbooyinka and Soomaali Galbeed so it could be from any of those three.

reer waqooyi are more racists towards women than konfurians interesting.

i wouldnt say racist but an attempt to maintain the barrier between men and women.

a good friend of mine told me a story about reer konfurians.

its 1982 in xamari and he was a student at lafoole university. one of his friends had all his clothes washed and raided the washing line for some replacements (again highlighting the communal nature of xamaris and konfurians). its around mid-afternoon when his sister turned up fuming. he was with his friends (sister and brothers have no xishood or respect for each other in public)......

sister: waaraa, kalsoonkiigi laaha aaya hoosta ka gashatahaye noo?

brother: waaraa, gabaratan waa waalantahay nooh, aabayo kagii ya maanta xiidhe nooh

sister: waara eeg dorlegan sanka weyneleh noo, adiga siib kalsoonkiigi nooh (is physically trying to take it off him)

brother: waara jooji noo, aniga wa kagii nooh

sister: waara siib nooh

brother: maxaa u siibee nooh, aadi ma liihid nooh

LOOOOL

she left but you get the point. no xishood and no deference in the house and outsider of the house. good bless reer konfurians.

excuse the somaliga nooh. i'm learning quick. LOL

I'm not sure but I think we say ilmo adeer. e.g. ninkan ilmo adeer baanu nahey.

No it's too much of a coincidence for a reer NFD to agree with a reer Waqooyi when it comes to language. We're probably correct.
