by da way, i was listeniing to a sheikh, he was reading an ayah from the Quran, the Ayah that says: rabbul mashriqayni wa rabbul maghribayni, he proved that there are two sun sets and two sun rises, and he meant by that - that there is a planet that has two suns, they rise and set at the same time, that is what the Ayah said, cuz in earth we only have one sun, enjoy

Boolbaro,

That sheikh is messed up big time and shouldn't be giving sermons. The verse you are talking about is in sura Ar-Rahman...

Lord of the two Easts , and Lord of the two Wests! (The Holy Qur'an 55:17)

This verse refers to the rising and setting of the sun during the winter and summer, a phenomenon known as 'equinox'. In the summer, the sun rises from one extreme east and during the winter, it rises from the other extreme east. Likewise, during summer, the sun sets on one extreme west and on the other extreme west during the winter. This is the two (extreme) easts and two (extreme) wests that Allah SWT is referring to in sura Ar-Rahman. So this verse is not about an alien planet but OUR own earth.

professer,

If you fly east and continue flying, would you end up where you started or would you hit a wall like Jim Carey did in the Truman show?
