Kenyan Somali proud to be on the frontline

Recommended Posts

As the war against the Al Shabaab militant group rages on, the Somali community in Kenya has complained that its members are being profiled and targeted for hate. But tonight we have the story of one man, who is from the Somali community but is currently in the frontline fighting for Kenya, his country. Private Omar Mahmud Adan shares his thoughts on the war and says he is prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice for Kenya.

The man is doing his job.A soldier by heart.Seems like a morally courageous and ambitious young man. Good-luck and may you return to your family in one piece.

Somali or not, this is a Kenyan solider carrying out the duties of his military superiors. Somali ethnicity matters not.

A little ironic as a Kenyan military member, he's gotta worry for the safety of his family back home as he put it, for being Somali while at the same time he's fighting against Somalis.

^and yet he's proud!! Poor sap. Nothing moral or courageous about his job. He's only after a pay cheque(like the vast majority who enlist). And the Kenyans don't have the decency to tamp down anti-Somali sentiment given how much of their military is composed of Somalis.

Pain of being a Kenyan Somali

The loyalty of Kenyan Somalis is questioned by many, and it does not help that such terms as ‘the enemy within’ are used with abandon. Reptilian analogies — with long anaconda-like tails buried hundreds of miles away in Somalia and heads in Eastleigh — are particularly unnerving

You can just see the dulnimo and inferiority complex stemming out of this charachter. Notice how he refers to the Somalis as " they". And the most pathetic thing is they way he pleads with the Kenyans not to harm his family even though he is with an army which has bombed refugees and promised to bombb ten Somali cities. I wonder how long before the big Somali population in Kampala starts calling themselves Ugandan Somalis and returns to fight in Somalia. ha ha.

Weak Somali... Or should we even call him that. Hes a traitor to Somalis just like most of our politicians, they all do it for money. They think about themselves and their families before thinking of the hundreds, thousands, millions of families they are harming that are from their own ethnic group. Sad. Loyal to a state which will never be his own, which he has no connection.

I pray for him to betray the Kenyans and shoot a good 100 of them or more. He would probably watch a rape made by Kenyans on Somali women and keep quiet.
