REUTERS in Sirte is also reporting this, Guardian on the ground in Sirte too, BBC, Al Jazeera, and most rebel gangs, they said in their intitial report that he was captured but wasn't right, he was not captured but died while fighting.

Pro Gaddafi websites denied any reports that he was captured or died while fighting, NATO also saying he was not captured or died whiel fighting, the confusion continues, could be a propaganda to say final victory in Sirte has being reached, as they have said many times before!

EDIT: Rebel gang officials are saying Gaddafi was trying to flee from Sirte the NATO bombed his convoy, isn't this crazy since Sirte is surrounded and sieged, how can he then flee from Sirte if not fighting to death.

Illahay ha u naxaristo (if indeed he is dead). Libya can now hopefully move on. I hope there are no revenge attacks against his people.

Bloody hell what an image. Allaha u naxariisto, but what happens in the next couple of weeks is critical for the future of Libya as a state. There are too many armed faction that need to be demobilised, too many interests at play. It could so easily veer off course and turn extremely bloody

waan ogahay Oba in USA iyo dawlado badan ay Libya dan ka leeyihiin, balse Gaddafi asigana kheyr qabe ma ahan oo dagaalkaan wuu baajin karey, haddii uu bilawgi si nabad ah uu isaga dhiibi lahaa kursiga (ka hor inta aysan NATO soo fara gelin).

haddase Libyan ka waa iney ka faa'iideystaan oo dalkooda dib u dhistaan.

He did not die fighting for his country. He died fighting to remain in power at the cost of thousands of dead, billions in damages and hundreds of thousands of refugees having fled. Just because you dislike the way this happened doesn't mean you whitewash his crimes of 40+ years.

That's the most ridiculous headline I've seen regarding this. naxariisto ma istaahilo, did he show kindness to his people? I hope he tastes hell for every soul he tortured.
