The Kenyan man is brave for making that speech. It is his knowledge of the world and the spirit of tolerance that makes him brave. The Jr.Bush is beside the point( even if he had the same message ) now.

America got fine president there, it might make a comebcak yet.

^If ever the world stops hating America as much, its cause of this Kenyan man since he is trying to:

1.Make communication with the muslims, to creat or have common ground.

2.Correct the mistakes in the past, and hear what is the other people want to say.

3. Lastly save American as*s.

You're not being fair to him. He has ran into a wall on healthcare, but as far as all other things go, he has done a good job. Bush had all the assets to waste, Obama has been dealt a bad hand in this that he has to clean all the mess left behind by Bush.

^What has domestic issue get to do with Muslims abroad, which is the audience that's being targeted?

Farancab...Any tangible thing?

You need to remember Obama or any president represents an establishment!!!

I think it is still too early to judge. You're much too intelligent for that. Nevertheless, the message was a forward step for America. It can be a new beginning for Obama regime( & the establishment that he represents). It is nice if other Americans can follow message of understanding and dialogue, eventually a difference that he is trying to make.

For Muslim world, peace can't be pushed in someone's face too much hence may be the reason he is taking it slowly at a time. Either way, let's just hope he means what he say.

I dont see the issue here then. The war in Iraq, Afghanistan aren't really his doings. He is stuck in there and has no choice but to either continue fighting it or cut loose; something he has to be very cautious of if he is going to win second term. But as far as other things go in regards to Muslim world he has been quite friendly. Not necasarily any major policy changes, but vocally he's percieved as quite favorable in comparison to the Previous.

Bush admin coined the terms like "islamic extermists' Obama adminstration doesn't refer that to us anymore. It helps alot.

Farancab and Redsea-time will tell, that much I agree with you, but to me, the man is all rethoric but again that's the mark of politician.

His actions thus far are giving tons of weapons to fuel the Somali, allowing Isreal to continue building new settlements, and rolling back on his promise to end torture.
