Somaliland intelligence arrested three men at Egal International Airport in Hargeisa over terror suspect. Reports say that the three men were travelling to Mogadishu using international passports. Some local newspapers say the Somaliland security forces have been following their movements since they arrived the country and the police forces were ready at the airport to arrest them before they depart to Mogadishu.

 

There is no official statement from the government about the issue.

JB Did I tell you my cousin who went to visit his wife got arrested walking around in Hargisa. Something about no one knowing him and him looking suspicious. I laughed my head off, and worse thing is his Somali is broke so he could not tell them anything. He was detained and freed after a while when the family rescued him. I don’t think he is ever coming back to Hargisa, you guys are arresting everyone who does not fit in, looks and act different with a foreign passport. Take it easy, not everyone is a terror suspect.
