Via Balcad? And if he convenes a meeting in the capital, as Juma said, that might work against his entire argument.

The argument brother was not holding a meeting or a wedding or anything small in Mogadishu. The issue is control, there can only be one government. What happened to Abdiqasin and Sharif Xasan must not be repeated.... To move to Mogadishu now is premature. They should continue with meetings and recruitment untill there is enough forces to completly run the capital and Banadir...

I don't know about you guys, but this government is moving too slow. The term is 5 years and the first year is almost over. This is of course due to a certain group of warlords who are literaly holding Somalia hostage, but the clock is ticking nevertheless.

^^^ SKY, I think its best this way, the warlords must not dictate the pace of progress. Otherwise all we will end up with is a show of progress, lavish welcomes and fake promises. The way things are developing the state power is being restored and once thats completed peace will prevail for the long term.

Look back a few months ago when Sharif Xasan was welcomed to Mogadishu, when the warlords promised to bring stability. Everyone got excited but the truth is it was all a trick, like Abdiqasin's three years..

Funny how some are already worried about the dwindling term of their uncle's presidency. No worries though, if A/Y's government succeeds without any wars, he will be voted in again, this time in a legitimate vote where everyone casts theirs in thanks to the government for bringing some sort of political stability. It all depends on what political decisions A/Y and his PM make and how they want to implement those decisions on the ground. Surely, there was no need to move to Jowhar and waste a whole year if they were coming back to town talking politics as they should to begin with.

Who talked about wedding...? The man just held his wedding (succesfully Alxamdullilah) in Mogadishu and it is already part of his vocab..lol.

However I concur with BN and reaffirm my position that if Geedi succeds to convene a cabinet meeting in Mogadishu with all (well at least nearly) present, then it is a smack in the face of the government(Jowhar faction). And I hope, though not for the wrong reasons that he succeds in convening such a meeting. Cause if anything then we shall have a government of national concentric rather than of two factions. Which will bring an end to a dictotarial trend hopefully.

Talking about control , Duke, do you seriously believe that the government is in full control of Jowhar leave alone its surroundings. I know you will say yes and list every Tom, Dick & Harry as being on the side of Yeey, but look at it perspectively before being hasty.

Dam right. Wouldn't it be all over if he had to come tommorow from his refuge in Jowhar? But hey, the old man is battle hardened and very resolute according to his disciples in SOL.

Juma,

I also hope that PM Geeid visit to Mogadishu will change the mind of the warlords that peace is in their own best interest as well as the larger population.

Jowhar is in the hands of the TFG, it has its own administration, just like say Nugaal or Hiiraan, and like the two above mentioned regions it recognises the authority of the TFG.

The issue of control is central to the Mogadishu dilema, of 100 factions and sub factions. Without a trong security forces then there is no point of rushing there. As they say Rome was not built in a day.

The Ethiopians abandoned him and he couldn't master other support for his planned insane wars, so now it is down to basics and the dawning realization that he can only talk in today's environment. Other plans of community devisions didn't work either. Whatever he had in mind, he is forced to go back to the drawing boards and start anew. He will be in Xamar whether he likes it or not for this government to work. And he is coming with no single bullet fired contrary to his previous murderous ambitions.

^^^ You have some hot air. Ethiopia is not needed and never was but will remail like the rest of IGAD and the Arab league an important ally for the Somali government.

As for the government soon it will have enough soldiers and guns to brung down any so called big boy in Mogadishu and elsewhere.

Jowhar today, remeber ts only an hour to centre of Xamar.. :D

Yes so! He should be in Xamar to begin with. You see Duke comments like this are the exact reason why your sincerity if existent, would be doubted.

What is CY? A man that the folks of Xamar should fear? What do you mean by an hour away? He is supposedly their president also, no?

I feel sorry for Somalia. Frauds running around like headless chooks  . The warlords suck us dry and the young who are meant to be the new hopeful generation are khasaaro in that they can’t seem to wash off the dirt of their fathers.

Again SL is such a wonderful idea.

^^^ You can question my motives till you are black and blue. Howver my ppoint is that the government is and Insha Allah will get better and stronger. Yes the warlords ahve sucked Somalia dry, thats why they and the clan courts are trying to create ne alliances, and find a new reason to exist in order to keep sucking the people dry....

Jowhar the new capital is a hope for all Somali's and it is not far from Mogadishu city, the governemtn has to take steps to bring Mogadishu without loss of lives and property under its control.

No need ofr emotion, just a campaign on your "saintly" selves to remove the road blocks both real and illusionary in order to bring peace to our beloved and beautiful country...

You dont have in mind a beloved and beautiful country, but you have a vision of the creation of a dictatorial rule by a beloved abd beautiful adeero called 'Yeey'.

And yes you are entitled to your phoney and fake illussion, after all you dont have the capacity to convince yourself that you are pursuing a hollow and cheap policies cause you lack that charecterism. It takes a man of dignity to turn around.

"the government will defeat the Warlords"...for heavens sake dont you know that your adeero is a number one warlord too, and that this government was a creation of all of them.

Untill you come to realise that Qanyare, Suudi, Caato, et al are vital for the establishment of a reconciled government or even to get of the ground you will continue uttering crap after crap. And you are welcome to it.

I don't give a shit about Muqdisho's feelings. The city cannot be entrusted with hosting the Somali government plain and simple. Does Muqdisho want to host the TFG as it should? Than the warlords or whoever the hell run the different parts of the city clean up their act. Removing roadblocks, opening public infrastructure and offices could have been done, but sabotaging the government is done instead. Some people have to understand that Muqdisho is giving the TFG all the reasons to stay in Jowhar.

You ahve to realise these men are the past their clans are important and are part of the TFG. Like President Yusuf said, "these men dont know what they want".

Your whole argument in defence of the scarpmerchants and roadblock owners is that they are edefnding against a dictatorship. Maybe its lack of rasoning or basic comprehension on your part but there will be no dictatorship and after 4 yaers a new round of elections will start.. Like Abdiqasin lost who knows ina Yey might lose[thats if he runs] next time...

Like SKY pointed out above no one is going to care about what the warlords want, their time is over their days of having lunch in this town or a conference here is coming to a close.

So Juma its your choice support peace or stand against the progress of the beloved nation...
