Sareeda , Don't worry sis, I understood your remarks as an expression of surprise rather than one of rejection/disbelief. We become surprised at things that defy the norms or things that are uncommon. It is not unheard of for a man to marry more than one wife, but to bring all those women under one roof is a little bit strange to say the least. People get curious and ask how he does it or that sorta of thing.

When I see Some of us who are prone into finding faults with other people's comments and there is nothing obvious to pick on, I remember a wise comment made in a political online magazine I often read:

"Righteousness, if not rooted in humility and focused on results--on persuasive power--will offend more than it attracts and falls victim to its own arrogance" By DAVE LINDORFF.

your remarks as an expression

thats the whole point! the words that carry weight in the sight of Allah, have transformed into expressions by those who follow the Deen of Allaah, thus they no longer carry any meaning!

May Allah Open our hearts and makes upon among those who never remain silent in the ligh of pleasing Allah who is far from all imperfection! ameen

Bro Salafi-Online, It will serve your objectives better if you dealt with others on the basis of their human nature rather than expect them to be perfect, or for them to be like you. May be that way, you wouldn't react to others with horror or with the big disappointments you display as if people were supposed to be Macsuumiin. People are not beyond the realm of human nature and will make plenty of mistakes for whatever reason.

And for the second time, Sareda's expression was one of surprise not because the Guy married four wives but all the wives lived under one roof.

The article just proves thats it very possible to live in peace as a family Unit from the Western Eye. An institution our Holy Prophet SAW had exercised and written reports available for us to reflect on.

In the 21st century especially in Africa and Arabia the practise is still in use. Wives have the freedom to work, others house wives.... and some lucky families have the tranquility of living as a unit. When you ask them what made their lives successful they say living in individual houses has made it simplier. And having their kids meet their half brothers and sisters in school and religious studies. with the occasional sleeping overs ....

icon_razz.gif Dont get twisted out of shape people. This was a fun article. Of course we know our religion and implying that we dont or are trying to ignore the parts we dont personally agree with is offensive. icon_razz.gif
