All this training will no doubt help in the future for our brave young national soldiers.

All this action working alosngside other national troops from Ethiopia, Uganda and now Burundi is having a great impact on the moral and competence of our young army.

Gathering info, reconnaissance, logistics management, urban warfare as well as first hand combate experience will no doubt make the army much tougher than any entity in Somalia.

With Mogadishu's gangs and terror networks being eaten up what can a few secessionists and some confused folks do? :D

Ciidamo Soomaali iyo Itoobiyaan isugu jira oo maanta howlgallo ka sameeyay xaafado ka tirsan magaalada Muqdisho

Arbaco, December 26, 2007(HOL): Ciidamo Soomaali iyo Itoobiyaan isugu jira ayaa saaka waxay howlgallo ka sameeyeen xaafado ka tirsan Magaalada Muqdisho, iyadoo la sheegay in howlgallada ay Ciidamadaas sameeyeen ay ahaayeen kuwo ammaanka lagu sugayay.

Xaafado ka tirsan Degmada Wardhiigley, gaar ahaan qeybaha Waqooyiga ka xiga Wadada Wadnaha, gaar ahaan inta u dhaxeysa Isgoysyada Aadan Cadde iyo Folorenza ayaa saaka lagu arkayay Ciidamo tiro badan oo xaafadaha dhex wareegayay, isla markaana dadka ku amrayay in aysan guryahooda ka soo bixin.

Lama sheegin ilaa iyo haatan hub iyo cid ay Ciidamada howlgalladaas ku qabqabteen, marka laga reebo in ay qadar daqiiqado ah ah ku sugnaayeen Xaafadaha ay ka howlgelayeen ee Degmada Wardhiigley.

Ciidamo ka amar qaata Dowladda Federaalka Soomaaliya oo ka soo tegay agagaarka Hotelkii Daamey ayaa intii ay howlgalladaas socdeen waxay dhaawaceen nin rayid ah oo sida la sheegay cararay mar ay Ciidamada Dadka ku amrayeen in ay joogsadaan oo la baaro.

They chased you out of Sool. It's only matter of time before the Ethiopians and those hiding behind them are chased out of Xamar. 'No place to go no where to hide'.

Tougher kulahaa...what a dreamer!

^^^Adeer we defeated the secessionist back five years ago when Yusuf was President of Puntland and there were no Ethiopians then. Now you talk big? Remmeber how many times we beat you down even Dhahar

In Las ANOOD all we are facing is our own kisnmen and we will make peace with them, secessionists are not a threat to us.

Mogadishu is under manners as the English would say in London. Its tamed, and the "insurgents" are just shooting practice for the soldiers.

The port airport, and all government insititutions are under our control and the defeated groups are only talking on the BBC and on SOL.

The Ethiopians, Ugandan's and others are giving our boys a firts hand lessons in warfare.

The term 'tamed' was being used by you and others way back. To this day, I don't see how Muqdisho is tamed since hundreds of xabashis are being killed, while the daba-dhilifs are given bloody nose everywhere they go. They can't even get out of villa somalia without being targeted and harrassed by the Al shabaab.

Surely, Xamar is a ghost town right now, majority of its residents have fled. There is no progress made in your side.

Even those who supported you like Ethiopia are getting desperate as Melez said his troops were isolated in Muqdisho.

Only time will tell.

Your main concern should be: 'How to save Puntland'? ;)

We have tamed Mogadishu but you do not know the size of it. It was once home to over 50,000 armed militiamen in a year we get an average of two attacks a week. what happened to all those militias? some died others arrested, most fled and others are being faced now. A remarkable change that today the most well armed group in Mogadishu is the TFG's Army, NSS and Police.

Soldiers job is to fight and defend the nation, of course some will die and any soldier should be prepared for such an event.

Today we have over 25,000 troops some are vetrans already battle hardened. The NSS two years ago did not exist today its pulling criminals out of their houses and meeting threats head on.

Our Police are getting built up and securing huge areas of Mogadishu.

We loose some, but they loose much more, including vital infrustructure.

If that was the case, the international community would raving 'progress' however it's not. It's actually much different than that.

Time is up for the TFG and its backers.

^^^lool. The international community has just sent 200 new troops to Mogadishu and a further 1500 are on route.

The international community vica ve the security council are pushing for greater UN troops support to the TFG and countries like China and Russia both permenant members want to play a bigger role.

Our Ambassador's are being welcomed in such nations as China & India [check the Duke's latest posts] ;)

The Ethiopians, Kenyan's and Yemen are playing their part. The armed gangs have been defeated, their leaders in exile their HQ taken over by the governemnt, they have no access to any infrustructure and their businesses have closed down.

They do not control a single street in Mogadishu and their random attacks deters no one.

So if Ethiopia, US, UN-security council and others are determined in their support for the TFG, who is stopping us Eritrea? :D

^^ Duke you been posting for years of this gone to happen and that is going to happen, the sad reality is the capital is still a war zone, people fled from the capital and two other african nations sent troops not counting ethiopia. You claimed a year ago that all these African countries would be sending troops, and thus far nothing of that sort has happened. Instead of posting stuff with more opinion spin to them then facts you come off only as cheer leader to a weak TFG government that has only a year to go, with no election plans insight or even voting laws set up.

Somalia: Insurgents Attack Three Mogadishu Locations, One Killed

Garowe Online (Garowe)

27 December 2007

Posted to the web 27 December 2007

Somali fighters waging war against the country's interim government and its foreign backers attacked three government positions on Thursday, residents said.

In Mogadishu's notorious Bakara market, insurgents engaged government soldiers in face-to-face armed combat using rifles and grenades.

The fighting started along a road leading into Bakara but gradually spread into the market, with civilians fleeing in all directions.

One civilian was killed and four others wounded in the crossfire, witnesses said.

Government troops

In north Mogadishu, Ethiopian troops were ambushed after they attempted to conduct search operations near the livestock market.

The fighting spread into surrounding areas of Huriwa district, with the Ethiopian army using heavy firepower to quell the resistance.

Witnesses reported that there were a number of wounded people, but no casualty details emerged from the fighting in Huriwa.

In a separate incident, an Ethiopian military convoy hit a roadside bomb but it was not immediately clear whether soldiers were hurt in the explosion.

Somalia's resistance groups, including Islamists and clan warriors, have vowed to continue their hit-and-run attacks until Ethiopian troops withdraw from Somali soil.

The Ethiopian army is accused of committing war crimes against Mogadishu's civilian population by indiscriminately shelling and firing into civilian areas.

Hey Duke,

Where is the taming you speak of. I think it's all clear now that the resistance will not stop until either Ethiopia leaves voluntarily or cuts and runs loose.

You cannot tame anyone. Its' been 1 year since, and all that 'international backing' still can't even get your uncle a a good night sleep.

The young boys from Puntland are being killed along with their xabashi masters. So ask yourself was it worth it for them to die along with Xabashis like cochroaches?
