Recommended Posts

Road to peace! yah... more like road to hell.

The search operations aimed to restore peace and stability is underway in the Somalia capital Mogadishu for the third day as the allied forces of Somalia and Ethiopia today made arrests in the city’s main Bakara market.

The forces raided the market this morning arresting more than 40 people in connection with what they called ‘the terror groups’ waging bombings and ambush attacks in the capital.

The key roads of the southern parts in the capital are still cut off and both cars and pedestrians are not allowed to use it.

“It is very difficult to live in such conditions, I don’t know what to do, all the roads to my work place were blocked, is this the way that peace can be restored?” Haji Muhdiyin Ali told Somalinet.

Meanwhile, the National Security Commission said it would set up a big military base inside Bakara market which the government believes it is hotbed.

The NSC said around 500 soldiers will be based in Bakara market to secure the peace and follow the plotters.
