Peace is good for the region if there is war in the pirate state it will not benefit somaliland nor will it benefit the whole region. So when one is working towards peace there is nothing wrong with that we welcome that .we have no problem with the pirates minus their piracy activities, and the border dispute and it seems that the faroole administration will never claim back the the region of sool. which was disputed before and seems to be resolved now. as for somalilands independence its a sacred thing. Boys and girls.

Xaji Xunjuf and Norf:

Its not Puntland who is asking to work with the secessionists state. We have always held the position that NW Somalia or Somaliland is a region of the republic and as such part of our nation. It is the secessionists who never acknowledged the existence of Puntland who used clannish terminology earlier on and then pretended to be equal with Somalia. For them to acknowledge that they border with Puntland and thus as two stable and progressive regions need to work together is an important shift.

Also lets not forget the new US policy of greater engagement is based on a single Somali state. Lets also not forget that both Hargaysa & Garowe welcomed it without any complaints.

Thus agains what is SOOL or border dispute if we are inside the loving Somalia republic borders? :D

General duke Puntland is a clan state in north somalia that's about it it's part of somalia as you claim and we recognize you as being part of somalia and that sheikh dalxiis is your superior , There is only somalia and somaliland, puntland is a small gobol with in somalia. so dont flatter your self.

So now Sool is not part of somaliland because the US doesent recognize somaliland. that still doesen't make it part of puntland Dukey we all know it used to be part of the pirate state and now it doesen't. as long as The pirates dont violate our borders and don't hijack our trucks there is no problem dear pirate.

Xaji, as usual you don’t get the point. This is not about regional states it’s a conflict between unity and secession. Puntland is a Somali state, and will continue to do so. The US position supports this and you have meekly accepted the reality. The question then is can Somaliland continue to be a secessionist enclave or will it adapt to the reality and join Puntland in rescuing the Somali people?

I belive Hargaysa has no other choice.

I think the question we have to ask ourselves my academically challanged friends and namely Duke is this, the only source he has so far managed to provide is garowe online and i repeat garowe online.lets examine this news source, anti-somaliland..pro baxx baxx land. so saxib, this is just another one of your delusions similar to your oil venture.AS THE WEEKS GO BY..YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THAT THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO THIS STORY.

What can Somaliland benefit from working with baaax baax land, after all there is a reason why they call it baaax baaax land, because saxib when you use reason and objectivity, you have nothing to offer Somaliland,no water,no infrastructure, ran-pent poverty of which only xabashi's know, pirate infestation of pandemic proportions, high inflation, human trafficing, people get shoot on the streets every day and the list can go on and on.

so continue having your wet dreams of Somaliland some how begging you for the sake of begging you and your illusive oil and WAKE UP...BACK TO REALITY.

:D:D

Like we said, SOMALILANDS INDEPENDENCE IS NON NEGOTIABLE, ITS TERRITORY IS NON-NEGOTIABLE AND ITS GOD IS NON-NEGOTIABLE.so get back to your little booohooohooo..of a peace train, you sounded better crying like a little baby, begging Somaliland to help you.

Qudac: are you still around. Adeer the Somali men can tour any part of Somalia that they want. Gaboose the born born and raised in Galkacyu and the other closet Unionist are now showing their true colors. The ONLF have even showed that AWDAL is a bastion of not only Somalia or Unionist ideals but of the greater Somaliweyn belief in unity of the race as a whole.

Its Somaliland that is rightly moving to the center, and the unionist position and not the other way round. Puntland does not covet any lands, it just wants to keep Somalia as a single state a position the United States holds and has articulated.

Now go train the Nato Navies of the shore, you are as weak as the argument that the Queen of England is your mother…

so we can tour all the way with our secessionist flag to the outskirts of bosaaso. And the upper pirate faroole would say Somaliland has gaboose as its interior minister so its oke lol , he has a hidden mudug agenda only in a pirates mind :D

Thankful

Qudhac, don't worry the wheels have been set in motion for the NW Somalia tri-angle admins secessionists agenda to be closed; despite your boosts about democratic elections and decades of trying to gain international recognition. The international community has had a policy shift only after the Somalia's Prime Ministers resignation and other TFG failures and not when your (s)election occurred back in June.

More importantly the shift includes Puntland as well, isn't that interesting? Puntland who has always maintained an open policy of being a state under Somalia and has never even put half the effort that your enclave has towards any form of recognition. Is now being given the exact same status as you have?

For me it says that in the international community eyes Puntland as safe regin and an ally towards peace. Despite set back from piracy and other issues, Puntland achievements are being recognized, without its government really ever trying.

^^^Well said...

Xaji adeer dont belive us here is the US position..

Engagement with Puntland and Somaliland is part of the second track, he added.

"We hope to be able to have more American diplomats and aid workers going into those countries on an ad hoc basis to meet with government officials to see how we can help them improve their capacity to provide services to their people, seeing whether there are development assistance projects that we can work with them on," Carson said. "We think that both of these parts of Somalia have been zones of relative political and civil stability, and we think they will, in fact, be a bulwark against extremism and radicalism that might emerge from the South."

But Carson said the United States will follow the African Union position
and recognize only a single Somali state.
:D

Thus Somaliland has to move to where Puntland is and not the other way round. Poor secessionist it will be a painful hangover...
