Renouncing Qabiil and Qabyaalad

Recommended Posts

Baashi

Baashi, this is an organization which is imposed upon us. It stands contrary to reason and logic; it legitimizes use of force to irreponsible actors; its corner stone is emotional blackmail via blood ties; it limits individual production and success; it encourages underdevelopment by stigmatizing artisanship and farming. All these things are deliberately created to enable the effective operation of the clan structure, which is faulty from the outset. The initial purpose for doing so is the control of societal wealth.

Imposed on us you said! Qabiil is imposed on us huh! Who is doing that? That’s what I wanna know buddy. Come again Jamaal, tell us more sxb :D .

Muad, Take a note sxb, my pal Jamaal has just formed his own group :D .

Surely, Qabiil was imposed upon us by the refusal of honouring Truth itself. And by claiming to BE that which we have choice-lessly found ourself in, we have altogether neglected Consensus to the thresholds of ignorance. If one has not yet CONSENTED to that which he is said to be, then, that which he claims to be is an imposition. In the case of the Somalis, consent is alien to them. And its always denied to children by their parents. Moreover, there is no such thing as Somaliness or Qabiil identity. These indentities are simply baseless and bogus, since no one asked whether we wished to be what is said we are.

More importantly, the fundermental questions, which the so-called Somalis or Qabiilist must address to find social cohesion are: How does one belong to or become part of a Qabiil? By Birth or by Consent? Have all those who are dubbed Somali consented to Somaliness, and/or do they accept the responsibilities consenting to be Somali entails?

PS: ...and Baashi, are you going to be interested in a new group called 'Danteed-Garad'? :D

Jamaal let's disagree on this one saaxiib cuz I for one just don't see how imposing "qabiil" on nomads is possible.

"Danteed-Garad" is not a new group saaxiib icon_razz.gif . Before reinventing the wheel you gotta ask around and that way save needed energy and effort bro :D . Danteed Garad are everywhere nowadays.

Samafal

I am surprised no one is talking about Islamic solution to the problem. Islam practically solved the problem through "Islamic brotherhood". We need to look back the way of life of the Arabs who lived in the Arab peninsula before Islam and how tribal loyalty was very important for their existence, honour and livilihood, pretty much the present Somalilands.

Islam recognized the problem but did not call for outright uprooting but taught muslims to be brothers for the sake of their "Deen" The believers are but a single brotherhood. Make peace and reconciliation between your two (contending) brothers and fear God so that you may receive mercy Quran 49-10. . This in turn gave them justice, security, stabilty and economic order that forsake them to rely on their tribe. It is true that on face value, you can uproot tribalism by providing a man made laws (that seem just), security and stability, but the fact of the matter is any thing of that sort would be temporary one rather than a solution and tribalism will re appear as soon as wealth and other worldly things are gone.

In summary, let us not work to renounce tribalism let us instead induce "Islamic brotherhood" in our nation that would dilute the negative and destructive capabilty of tribalism. Some people mention how wealth changed the tribalism in the gulf but that is temporary coexistence. You have to remember that tribalism in these nations still exist but for a different use, and once the oil and the wealth elements that make them self sufficient are gone things can go back to square one. Allah knows best.
