My Somalia

My Somalia

I dream of a far away land

Where my heart is held captive

I engulf myself in thoughts of running away to the valleys of sheikh

Trotting through the market of Mogadishu

Laying awake in the badiye of Zailac

Walking up on the beach of boosaso

Eating sweet fish in hafuun

Walking through the sugar Kane fields of mararey

Sailing with the tide in Barbere

Having dinner in Baidowa

Conversing with the Wiseman of JigJIga

Cosmopoliting in Djibouti

Having so much fun in Hargaysa

Dancing the Goobele in abdudwaaq

Learning to dhaanto in Dhirir dhabe

Making friends in Garisa

Saying a prayer in Kismanyo

and doing it all over again and again till my heart is content

Somalinimo is not only imprinted in my heart But it is engraved on the pupils of my eyes .

Bye fatima najma Hagi

Adam Z thanks my bro. Happy Ramadan!

The trip was great; I highly recommend everyone makes it there at least once .I didn't grow up in Somalia. I was not yet 6 when I came to Europe, but I care too much about my country and people. My advice to the people of Somalia is that they should stop killing each other. Forget the divisions of tribalism and regionalism. Leave this evil circle and unite as Somali Muslim. May Allah unit our hearts and lines and guide as to your right path ameen.
