Just got this email....

Lest we forget."

I used to do that, even wear a poppy when Remembrance Day was all about world war 1, and now they have married it to Iraq/Afghanistan and to all fallen soldiers it has lost its appeal for me.

Norf, its not all bad here, everywhere has its drawbacks.

NGONGE

If you return without speaking proper Arabic you will be a total failure, Norf. For that reason alone, I think you should stay put. :D

Morning Co-trolls. Where is the manager and her sidekick?

Rememberance day has lost some it's identity. WWI and WWII were genuine causes whilst Afghanistand and Iraq are not. They really have made a big deal about this year. All the weekend's sports matches has 1 min silences with air support!

Ngonge, if I live in Saudi for the past 4 years you could say that but I have been in UAE for 3 and Oman for 1. English all the way.

UK is appealing in terms of the kids growing with their cousins.

Whatever you decide, I would wait a bit until the economy has recovered a bit, job prospects needs to improve still.
