A good man follows his own heart

A good man knows his own mind

A good man is humble and not blind to his faults

A good man teaches others as he learns them

A good man is light after a lifetime of darkness

A good man emulates the Prophet (S.C.W)

A good man steers you right if you're wrong

A good man respects his parents and yours

A good man is kind as he is intelligent

A good man steals the stars to brighten your day

A good man sets an example

A good man has a pure heart

A good man isn't crude nor hurtfull

for he rather cut his own finger than cause pain

A good man treats his woman like a diamond amongst pearls

A good man is understanding

A good man is caring

A good man isn't scared to Love

A good man doesn't fear none other than his creator

A good man is my Grandfather

Who he thought me how to pray and fear Allah

A good man is my Father

for he set the example in which I judge all Men

A good man is my brother

who wipes my tears gently whenever I cry

who does his best to make me smile

A good man is my Heart

for he thought me how to Love

and gave me the greatest gift, A love returned

A good man is perfect imperfection

A good man is the best of companions

A good man is beside every good woman

We, women, are them

and in turn they are Us

we can't exist without each other.

BOB... I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH A WOMAN BEING OBEDIENT TO HER PARENTS, JANNA IS INDEED UNDER THE MOTHER'S FEET BUT...OBEDIENT TO THE HUSBAND?

I APOLOGISE IN ADVANCE IF I AM MISTAKEN&MY ARGUMENT ONLY APPLIES IF YOU INTEND "OBEDIENT" TO MEAN SUBSERVIENT AND PASSIVE WITH NO REAL VOICE IN THE MARRIAGE.

Umar ibn Al-Khattab's daughter Hafsa and later the wife of the prophet (sw) loved to discuss issues with her father and loved to discuss every issue with the prophet (sw). Hafsa loved to practice this newly acquired privelege and would argue with the prophet and much often. Refined and kind hearted, he allowed her to say what she thought and this continued for some time, until one day 'Umar ibn Al-Khattab, when speaking to Hafsa's mother, said,"I think I shall do so-and-so". When the lady answered "But it would be better if you did so-and-so" Shocked Umar said "Are you arguing with me woman?" "Why not?" she answered, "Your daughter keeps arguing with the Messenger of Allah until she upsets him for the whole day". Umar put on his cloak and went directly to his daughter's house, when he asked her if this was true she answered; "Indeed, I do" When he was about to chastise such ill-breeding, Muhammad(sw) entered the room and would not allow him to touch her.

Before Islam women were not supposed to have opinions of their own or object to anything their lords and masters chose to say. Islam decrees that a woman has the right to think for herself and express her beliefs as men do. She is a free, responsible being before Allah (SWT).

Well, i just wanted to share that piece of knowledge with you, and to set the record straight i am not a full blown feminist i like to think of myself as a good muslimah

PS please don't feel that i am mis-informed of the husband's rights over his wife i am well informed in that area too.

I am very sure the things Hafsa is arguing about, is not to show disobediant to her husband (prophet scw).. and also i doubted it if she would ever get out of hand, like the women now... so if all women could be like hafsa.. then who needs a women to obey u...

My sister,NO...i didn't mean by that at all but still there's nothing wrong in a woman being obedient to her beloved husband and my sisters in here married or single should listen attentively to the following episode which transpired during the time of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

a Sahabi once went on a journey of Jihad, when departing from home he instructed his wife to remain indoors and never to set foot outside in his absence.

after the Sahabi has left, the lady's father became very ill so he sent some one to call his daughter. she said to the messenger "ask the messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H) the rule of the Shariah because my husband has instructed me not to leave the precincts of the house, what should I do now?

Rasulullah (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) sent the response to her query "it's not permissible for you to go and visit your father" the noble lady abided by the ruling of the Shariah issued by the Rasulullah (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) so she did not go to visit her ailing father.

on the next day, a message was brought to her informing her that her father was on his deathbed and that she was required to go and see him. however, the noble lady replied in the same manner and Rasulullah (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) too responded in the same way as he did in the previous day. on compliance with her husband's instructions, she was not to set foot outside the house.

on the third day she was informed of the demise of her father. once again she was called to the home of her parents and she reacted in the same way and Rasulullah (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) said "even now it is still not permissible for her to leave the house, this her husband had forbidden.

after her father was buried and Rasulullah (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) returned from the burial, Jibreel (Alayhi Salaam) arrived with revelation from Allah (S.W).

Rasulullah (Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam) sent a sahaabi to deliver the following message to the lady who had not left her home. "Allah (s.w) has sent a revelation and he has conveyed SALAAMS to you. Allah (s.w) has forgiven your father because you obeyed the shariah by abiding the instructions of your husband not to leave the house" MAASHA ALLAH.

PS. Thanks for the Hadeeth.

Peace, Love & Unity.

There are no good women and men...

the best thing to do is look for someone that has the qualities that you don't have and you have what they don't have...example if you are a 30% person look for someone who is above 50% so therefore y'all both will be 80% and that a passing number..lol..na'mean...so everyone have some kind of problems so there are no good men or women....

Gabdhihiina sugaayo nin good ah waa haleesaan laakiin waqti aa idinku socon doono. Laakiin ogaada even ninkaan goodka ah wax uu ku xun yahay lee jiraan..lol..

ani waxaan aamin sanahay in ee gabdho fiican ee buuxaan..laakiin saaxiibo xun xun ee wada leeyihiin so therefore you are what you friends are...gabar fiican waxee ku fiican tahay in ee la socoto gabarkale oo fiican..laakiin maba jirtoba..midoo baqti jiid ah lee ku wiji dhisaneyso nooh....marka riyada iska daaya ee meesha ka kaca

wareer badanaa!!!!
