That photo is taken in MJteeniya. There was another picture circulating which says it was taken from Zeila.

lool. Your fear of Puntland and its people is unbelievable!!

Why not provide solid scholarly proof that this picture was taken in Puntland?  Jeegaan Somalilanders have a history of supporting European colonialism against Somali-born freedom fighers like Sayid Mohamed, Sheik Bashir and others. Other tribes resisted colonial powers but were defeated and subjugated against will.

Here are some of the Kings of Puntland condemned to jail after they refused to be loyal bootlickers. Show me any of your people arrested for resisting colonial powers.

See it with your own eyes, King Osman of Puntlandersteinia arrested and brought to Mogadishu by the Italians.

Here is an illustration of the arrest of Sultan Yusuf Kenadid of Hobyo by the Italian colonialists.

How about the Warrsangeli Sultan who refused to do what Jeegaan were happy to do; carry the food for the colonialist. The British caught and exiled this gifted man to a far away island.

Listen man, you have demonstrated that you are very ignorant of basics in Somali history.

I challenge you to provide any sources for your assertions above. Remember, not posts from other online forums, or random pieces of text that you've googled, but actual historical documents, or academic sources supporting your laughable assertions.

Let me educate you on the history of the Pirates.

They are known throughout Somali history for not being good fighters. I have been kind enough to show you the chronology of them being salaried vessels of colonial powers, and pointed historical documents for you to research further. I have also linked that history to their embarrassing surrender to Afweyne, SSDF being the only rebel group to actually drop their weapons and beg for forgiveness.

But you are now actually claiming that they had Kingdoms rivalling those of Yemen.. This is beyond being ahistorical,  beyond being ignorant of Somali history, it is actually a stupid statement to make.

The pirates were always... pirates. Their entire existence was based not on taxation, nor rule of law as you have falsely claimed, but on ship-pillaging and living of shipwrecks. It was the only place in the Somali peninsula were piracy was institutionalised as a way of life:

In fact what you call sultanates were nothing more than a dressed-up piracy operation, no sign of any laws, to the point where their clan chiefs were competing on ownership of shipwrecks.. they were basically minor crime families:

These minor pirate families' pillaging of ships eventually led to European colonial forces using their disgusting acts of piracy as an excuse to claim and exercise control over the Somali coast:

Educate yourself, it is really a shame that you are ignorant of such basics. You are mad to even try to claim that the pirates fought colonial powers. For goodness' sake you are talking about these people:

Its very funny that you've abandoned your pitiful claim that the photograph below was taken in Berbera as soon as you saw that the flag was that of the Italian colonial forces 😂

Beyond the flag, note the the uniform of colonial officer as well as that of his subordinates on the boat and compare to this photograph of Italian colonial forces:

Also, why are you lying and claiming these clan chiefs of yours were arrested for refusing to be colonial bootlicker? They were the quintessential bootlickers and were in fact salaried employees of colonial forces:

Besides, the photo you are claiming to be of your clan chief says nothing about imprisonment in the original source:

You mean the same man who wrote the infamous begging letter to colonial powers, pleading to be given the chance to return to his home and promising to be "obedient and respectful towards English people", even going so far as to call the colonial powers his "Masters"?

Colonialism project was completed by the 1920s. The unti-colonial forces everywhere were defeated by then.

1936 is war between colonizers, mostly between Italian and British empires, not between colonized or to be colonized Africans and colonizers. Ethiopia by then has been invaded and partly defeated by Italy and occupied just what happened few years later to France by Germans.

Pre-1920s and After 1935 has no relation.

You are wrong.. again. The document presented above and signed by the clan chief of the Pirates is dated 1889. Well before your claimed "end of anti-colonial forces. Their Pirate's clan leader is literally admitting to being a salaried employee of colonial forces. Man, have you read a single book on Somali history? This is pretty basic stuff.

It is a little sad that you are finding it hard to accept your clear ignorance on the subject of Somali history. The more you try to cover up your lack of knowledge, the more laughable the mistakes you make become.
