Compelling. A quote from Raage:

"The extraordinary fact is the seizure of the brothels, message parlors, police, etc is not even done by the men, it is the work of the women in the madrasa".

The inside part of the masjid is red, tho not relevant in the wake of what took place.

There is a lot of fiqh questions in this eposide at Pakistan. IF you see evil: change it with your hand, if not able change it by your tongue, if not able then hate it in your heart and that is the weakest part of faith. (saxiix hadith).

The Pakistani government did the right thing. It is unfortunate many lives were lost, but the Musharaf government government was left with little or no choice. They had to confront and clam down for the good of the state of Pakistan, and the right of every citizen to room freely in the streets of Islamabad without of fear being taunted, mocked or even physically attacked by the Madarrasa students.

With lawless Afghanistan to the west, and billion plus India to the east, Pakistan can't afford political instability, let alone a breakdown in security.

Kudos to Musharaf and the Army, I say!

Saxiib, the army and Musharaf are the ones the will help destroy the nation of Paskitan. They sold and helped kill thousands of their own people to the C.I.A. It wasnt going to be long before this betrayal turns into violence. So now Pakistan will become a warzone for Musharaf, Bin Laden and Taliban supporters. Add this to problems in Baluchistan, Wazirsitan and the growing oppostion from secular elites. Musharaf is a doomed and we know that the Americans dont even like the man. They blame him for not curbing millitants, which no man has ever achieved in history. If anything the face of Mr Musharaf shows what is wrong in the Muslim world today.

Khalaf

Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu alayhe wa sallam, was sent with the message of Islam to a world full of darkness and corruption. People at that time believed in idols and were following their desires. Prophet Muhammad wanted to bring the people back to the worship of Allah. Alone, he was like a stranger in a corrupt society. He believed however that Allah will strengthen him in conveying the message of Islam to the world. So he worked with his companions to spread Islam. Although they were at first weak in their own country and strangers among their own people, the Prophet and his companions strived hard till they established the first Muslim state in Medinah, and later on included the whole Arabian peninsula.

Muslims today experience the strangeness of Islam and need to learn from the life and seerah of the Prophet the means to repell the strangeness of Islam and to revive strength in the body of the Muslim Ummah.

Abu Huraira narrated that the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu alayhe wa sallam, said: "Islam initiated as something strange, and it would revert to its old position of being strange, so good tidings for the strangers." (Recorded by Muslim, Attirmidthi, Ibn Majah, and Ahmad) This hadith shows that Islam started weak and strange, then became strong and will then, at certain times and places, go through a second state of weakness. Muslims who then stick firmly to their religion
will have many dissenters and only few supporters. The believers at that time become like strangers or aliens even if they are in their own country.

Khayr

Salams,

My family and I watched this and they kept questioning if Raageh Omer was even a muslim because of his line of questioning and narration in the documentary.

One interesting point is when some of the students walked out, they were offerred 5000rupees (pakistani currency) as a reward for walking out on their shiekhs and also promised a better 'Madrassah' then the one they just left.

That just got me thinking about the hadith about the people of Medina and how the Dajjal would call them out and they would run out towards him even though the Dajjal himself couldn't get into Medina Sharif.

Wallahi, the word of the serpent is very inticing wanucudu billah min dhalika!

What the students were doing was noble to start with (their intentions were at least) but their conduct in holding people against their will and insisting they are going to become Muslims whilst in custody plus killing police officers is WRONG. These are NOT the 'stangers' the Prophet (scws) was refering to.

Who are the strangers the Prophet scws was refering to in this hadith?

Khayr well said akhi, it was also mentioned when the Dajiil comes most of mankind including majority of the muslims will follow him. We seek in Allahs Refuge from the trails and ask Allah for His Guidance and Mercy. May Allah grant jannah the imam and his students, Guide Musharaaf to the right path or make him an example like Farcuun.

Certainly not kidnappers and murderers.

Are you saying what they were doing was right? Are you saying those students who left the building are misguided and should have stayed to fight?

Ibtisam

Why would any one question is faith, he is just reporting what he saw

These women are toe rags. 7000 students aren’t exactly a minority, nor are they strangers, they held the upper hand and abused people.

Everything has rules and regulations in Islam, who told them to intimidate people, take the law into their hands and kidnap people. What kind of Islam is that? Abuse Islam for your own twisted ideas and mis-using hadith is a big crime. May Allah forgive them and guide those who are still alive. Ignorance opens many doors, knowledge is golden.
