So long as Mr Trump is in the White House the Kingdom is safe from any US's sanction of any kind. And in fact, so long as Kingdom continues to price its oil in Dollars and not in Euro or Yen or any other world currency, then the Kingdom is safe from any kind of sustained political pressure from Washington.

And that will be case even if the rulers there in Riyadh start broadcasting live TV feed of people being fed into a lions, like so much of an absurd modern re-enactment of the Roman's Colosseum of antiquity staging a gladiatorial games of people being eaten alive by animals.

I think, what you want to say is as long as they friendly to Israel. Dollar pricing could be history very soon. China is already largest oil importer and they will demand the yen to be currency of their choice.

The man was a permanent resident in Virginia. While the Yanks might not particularly care about him; they don't appreciate someone who lived in their soil was easily liquidated.

Momentum is picking up as to finding answers. And with Dems possibly gaining control of the  House, the issue might drag on.

True, Trump will not do much, it is  the US Congress, which is very close to canceling the arms deal.

That is probably the biggest threat. Yet, American weapons manufacturing is a multi billion dollar industry that creates millions of jobs for Americans in more than two dozen states.

it better make a deal with Erdogan and stop aggression against Qatar.

That is another point. They young king should know that despite all the money he had thrown to the U.S , he needs to collaborate others in the region and stop the unnecessary attacks against Qatar.

Further more, the American deep state and intelligence community are fueling the issue to damage Trump, Kushner and company. They had already leaked unverified intelligence reports which claimed the Americans had intercepted the prince and his people discussing the abduction of Mr. Kashoggi.

If The Saudi leadership want to do something about this guy , they do not need to make a phone call or discuss it openly. All the king has to do is nod his head.

There are other reports about the existence of video or pictures about the crime. It looks that Erdogan got a dagger on the head of Salman and company. He will probably use this issue to force the young king to change the course of his policy.

Also, let us not forget that the Saudis have also a lot of cards and  leverage against the Americans, and they could not be pushed that hard. Some estimates put the Saudi treasury bonds in U.S as close to  $750 billion, while another $75 billion is invested in big American companies . If they start withdrawing some of that money things will shake in America.

Despite all that problems, we do not want any calamity to befall in the Holly land of Makkah and Madinah. That is why Erdogan is treading slowly.

The sad part is this man posed no real threat to the Royal Court but the kid in power is impulsive and lacks political incumbent.

Turks are now, as Galbeedi  mentioned, claiming to have audio and video of the actual murder. This will be hard to ignore.

P.s Dems are gunning  for Jared. This might be his undoing.

I agree. I read some of the old posts of Mr. Kashoggi and mostly he  tries to tell the kid to change course and stop imprisoning his own supporters.

Che,

you could right. Maybe Trump want some more money.

The Democrats got an opening  and who knows they might use this as an election issue.

This dude Maxamed bin Salmaan suu u qabsaday xukunka aabihiisa ka jiifo Sacuudiga sharaf beel xun u soo jiiday. Whatever he touches backfires spectacularly, whether it is Yeman, Qadar, Lubnaan, Soomaaliya and this. His policies seem like qof aad u fudud inuu yahay. If it wasn't Trump and Zionist supporters in Aqalka Cas, there would have been a real coup in Sacuudiga by now. This Maxamed Bin Salmaan is totally failing and ever isolating his country.

MBS may have finally overreached. The clear murder of this Saudi journalist is finally showing the world the impulsive behaviour of this Jared-loving mad prince running things in Saudi Arabia.

The Turks clearly will avoid showing any murder video because it would mean their top secret intelligence devices will be exposed. But they know the guy is dead.

The vedios are damaging. The boy is compromised. He could face regime change and replaced by his cousins. Saudi Arabia is very important country, not only for muslims but anybody else.  With this Trump will be one term president for sure too.

The  Saudis  are very powerful these days they are in transition  when Salman dies. Maxammad bin  Salman rules.  Maxammad bin Salman is reforming  saudi  Arabia he is turning it into a Dubai.

That's his goals he is modernizing more liberal more style less wahaabism.

The Saudi biggest challenge is Syria and Yemen they are losing both those wars. Israeli and American fighter pilots and fighter jets can't win them wars.

Don't sweat that my friend.

The Saudis have America by the neck...money. The Saudis are not like us third world they are most wanted country even by Russia. British would love to have more role as they were before America displaced them.

Democrats are actually more in the pocket than Republicans to the Saudis.

If the price of oil goes over 100 then America could be in deep deep recession. All the Saudi need to do is blow up one of their lines and blame Iran or somebody...and Trump or anyone will be begging Iran to pump as much oil as they need. America would even remove its military from Iran borders.

Nobody is going to risk anything this big for Kasshoggi.

The Americans are making some noise just to cover the Yemen issue that is becoming bigger and bigger by the day. Failure is facing them and Saudis.

All the exercise they did about Eritrea for the Hudeida..still empty. Now they have decided to send Africans..poor ones not known from which countries...Sudan is being mentioned by Eritreans maybe to hide theirs.

Most of the agreements are MOIs not actual contracts. The actual contracts in place will not materialize anytime soon. The only one benefitting is Trump family business.

There are differences between the nation of Saudi Arabia and it is rulers. The nation of Saudi is very important, the birthplace of prophet Mohamed and  Muslims wholly place, the world oil-rich country and the heart of tribal middle east. In other hands, it is rulers as of form of 13-century European style kingdom which installed the British has been vulnerable and will be vulnerable in the modern time and that is the real issue that makes the relationship between the west in general and ruling family important. The west advocates a liberal world order but supported the Saudi ruler family and the rest of other monarchists in the region. this will be definitely the mystery and challenges of 21 century. Nothing stays the same for a long time and it will be interesting to see how the inventable changes affect the world, as the Saudi population increases and reforms have been a shortcoming. We already witness the new  Ethiopian revolution, we will witness more Arab spring in the middle east as the world witnessed the French revolution

There is nothing Islamic  about sacuudi Arabia they are just a country with economic political militaristic interest they just happen to be the leaders of Arabs Arabs ethnic group.  Put them against xassan rooxani and ayatollah ali kheimeini and the Iranians. The Saudis are nothing they produce nothing it's  just petrodollar money. They don't produce their own weapons the Israelis and the Turks produce their own weapons. Merkava battle tanks is better than the abram tank the Saudis and Egyptians get from the Pentagon. But then again David Ben gurion was much smarter than the sacuudis.
