    Quitting Music

This would be very easy for me . because I'm completely ignorant about music .. the only music I listen to is whatever comes on the radio when I'm driving to/from work and they are horrible ... the lyrics make no sense .. they fill in the empty spaces with sounds that are not even words.
  2. ^ they are officially known as "The family jewels" . Technicaly it was north of the arctic circle but not quite the north pole, I was there for a week, I met 3 somali guys working in a diamond mine ... close to where I was, true nomads I could hardly bear the week forget living up there.
  3. Hello Malika ehum not really ... but better to be on the safe side where the jewels are concerned sow mahan
  4. @ Cara times have changed ... a daughter is worthy of as much celebration as a son. but I think I'll keep the laptop off my lap from now on nevertheless

  8. after 4 years of university you should be qualified to do something what good is a degree in arts history ? A degree in the sciences is much more valuable in terms of job prospects
  9. I got it for ~ $30 ... if you have a university email account .. there is a student discount which is much cheaper than retail. This is where I got it
  10. Da'a changes people The older you get the more you change.
  11. your mini crusade against CAIR that is a sideshow lets address this candidate positions directly You believe the default position is that, if you are a Muslim you are a terrorist unless proven otherwise ? and not only do you agree with her you think it is our job to convince her. It is not our job/duty to educate politicians if they are so ignorant about Islam/Muslims in this day and age or cannot do the research perhaps they don't deserve to run for public office. her job as a politician is to represent the interests of her constituents in congress .. i.e the residents of the district she wishes to represent .. regardless of their faith. you praise her policy positions when they coincide with 'progressive' ideals but when she gets a little too discriminatory, hateful for your taste .... you pawn the blame off on to her staff by saying they should have done more research. why should people support this candidate again ? as if there are not a number of 'progressive' alternatives that do not carry the hateful anti-Muslim baggage.
  12. your antics are getting more absurd by the day. is this your new ""oh look at me I'm controversial" thread for the day I actually understand her perfectly and appreciated her candor which is not common for a politician. She hates Muslims and is very clear about it she makes not bones about it ... yet here you are contorting yourslef into a pretzel to spin her message in a positive way. I'll try to follow your convoluted logic here ... you would have Muslims support and vote for this woman in the unlikely event she will come to appreciate how nice and cuddly we really are.
  13. It appears Al-shabaab was innocent where are the people who were falling over each other to blame Al-shabaab what say you now ? they are a convenient scape goat sow mahan ? as to the "only As have done similar things in the past" ... that is false they have never suicide bombed a graduation ceremony .. why would they students are not their targets if the dead consisted soley of tfg ministers, ugandan mercanaries I might believe AS was behind it ... otherwise you would have to provide very damning evidence it was them.
  14. maalin wanaagsan Trollers maxaa isku dhacaya ?
  15. very clever of them. it is surprising that they use non-encrypted video feeds you know what gets me is, that whenever they achieve anything worthwhile the reporters throw in the obligatory "Iran trained, Iran financed insurgents" BS as if they were in the stone age before the occupation started. The Iraqi freedom fighters are a group of very bright very technical guys witness the ingenious application of IED's and how they have been able to cripple conveys and make the Americans sh!t in their pants with fear whenever they have to drive down a road.
  16. ^ I'm not hiding behind anything awoowe i jiid aan ku jiidee waa gacmo daalis the sunnah of the prophet is part of the divine revaluations "Waa ma yandiqu canil hawaa, in huwa ilaa waxyun yuuxaa" I cannot be more plain than that awoowe you either do not want to understand or you are not interested , either way ... there is not much i can do to help marka you will stay in Group C until that changes
  17. Naden The hadith is impeccable and Bukhari is not the only Raawi listed (although his alone is more than enough) (Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, and An-Nasa’i) Castro you left out the sunnah of the prophet. Originally posted by Castro: Either the clear, unambiguous and eternal words of the Almighty are wrong or the inclusion of this in Bukhari's compilation some two centuries after the prophet (ASW) is wrong. Take your pick awoowe. Che My apologies rag iska dhicis baan ku jiray .. adiga wiiftada ayaa ku haleeshay Tuujiye Waa talo quman widaw in fiq la barto .. sidaad sheegtayna hadith rasuulka ayaadaha quraanka ayay tafaasil dheere ah ka bixiyaan .. tusaale ahaan quraanka waxa laga xusay salaada in la tukado lakin sida loo tukan lahaa iyo wakhtiyada la tukanaa lahaa kuma cada .. waxaan ka ogaanay hadethka iyo sunnaha nabiga S.C.W People by the looks of it we broadly fall into the following categories: Group A : Those who believe stoning is the prescribed punishment by sharia but should not have been carried out in this case for whatever reason. Group B : Those who believe stoning is the prescribed punishment by sharia but still feel it is astaqfirulaah "outdated" , "barbaric" etc. Group C : those who believe stoning is not the prescribed punishment at all I think it is time to drop this discussion because by the looks of it none is convincing anyone to budge from their position .. marka intaan idin danbaajin lahaa inaan gaabsado ayaaa ila quman.

  19. Castro and Naden That the prophet P.B.U.H carried out this execution on numerous occasions refer to curly`s post for an example ... the actions and sunnah of the prophet are themselves divine revelations. here is a hadith which from the Raawiyis I hope we can all agree that it is definitely not a "inserted/Israelite hadith" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “[under Islamic laws in an Islamic state] It is not lawful to shed the blood of a Muslim except for one of three sins: a married person committing fornication , and in just retribution for premeditated murder, and [for sin of treason involving] a person renouncing Islam, and thus leaving the community [to join the enemy camp in order to wage war against the faithful].” (Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, and An-Nasa’i) I`m curious how you came to your conclusions ?
  20. I’m surprised by your reactions .. ma anaa waalan mise cadan baa laga heesayaa. waxay iigu muuqataa inay jirto xogaa yar oo ismaandhaaf ah ... af-somali ayaan waxoo dhan dib ugu qori lahaa lakin intaan fahmayn ayaa ka badan inta fahmaysa mar labaad ayaan isku dayi inaan cad-cadeeyo mowqifkayga .. waxaan rajaynayaa inaad igu raacdan. I’ll reiterate my original post and try to be clearer, let’s address two separate issues 1. This specific Case 2. Stoning till death as a form of punishment There may be legitimate questions about this specific case some of which I’ve already listed in my original post Originally posted by Geel_jire: on the other hand if your objections are more procedural in nature i.e the authority of the court, the witness, the overall fairness of these ruling etc. it is a reasonable complaint and your own personal opinion. My post was directed at the people who seemed to have a problem with 2. The whole idea of stoning someone till death ... while it may offend your delicate sensibilities it is the prescribed punishment by the creator so throwing around words like barbaric etc. I believe it is the height of arrogance and ignorance to believe that your sense of justice and proportion should outweigh that of Allah S.W.T Case in point Originally posted by Abtigiis & Tolka: It is the law that I am saying MUST be interpreted differently. It is cruel and inhuman to kill someone with stone and we are ordered to kill animals in a way that minimises their suffering. Surely, we can't do the opposite for humans. My problem is not with the procedure, it is with the law itself. To the “Prove it” brigade Naden, Che, Castro This is a fair question but before I answer let me correct my earlier post. It is not found explicitly in the Quran ... but it is the prescribed punishment by Allah and has been carried out by his messenger P.B.U.H on numerous occasions and as we all know “Waa ma yandiqu canil hawaa. In huwa ilaa waxyun yuuxaa” With that correction ...is it your position that this is not the prescribed punishment for married adulterers? And finally the blowhards peacnow, Duke et al sida dad waayeel ah dooda kaga qayb gala hadii kale calaacalka yareeya fadlan.
  21. ^ defensive ? did you read my post correctly walaal I've already addressed the point you raised you may have legitimate objections on many fronts I belive i listed quite a few of them which would also include it is not the time and place to enforce theses laws. If you read the replies before mine all or most of the them only object to the form of punishment (stoning)that is what I'm addressing. as for JB walaal you should re-calibrate your snobbery meter .. and don't let political correctness get in the way of telling the truth. JB is a self declared gaal it is not something im pushing onto him and if he doesn't even believe in the Allah what value is there in discussing the minute details of the applying sharia law my opinion is it is worthless. curly walaal it is you who are getting defensive for no reason bal si degan ku noqo waxaan qoray
  22. JB abti adigu gaal baa tahay marka your opinion doest hold much weight on these matters. the details of sharia and how it is implemented dhib ka weyn baa kaa haysta.
  23. These kinds of posts always surprise me. lets be clear here, what exactly are your objections based on people ? the form of punishment is not something they just pulled out of their @ss .... it is prescribed by Allah S.W.T in the Quran so it is not your place to foist your squeamishness on people who are willing to abide by the creators laws. on the other hand if your objections are more procedural in nature i.e the authority of the court, the witness, the overall fairness of these ruling etc. it is a reasonable complaint and your own personal opinion. but that the form of punishment and whether it is warranted for the crime of this nature is not yours to decide so throwing around words like barbaric, arxan daro etc. adiguun danbiga iska ilaali
  24. ^ Ive seen a similar thing in Nairobi in the early 90s .. where a man was stuffed under a half buried tire and set on fire .. because someone yelled thief and pointed a finger at him. and almost everyone took part in this it was a truly frighting display of mob justice
