^They are serving their self-interest if they aspire to Kenya and Ethiopia's govt level. More power, more 'aid' money and a page in history. As to implosion or defeat: self defeat through over reaching = self implosion
-
^Adeer - everything is relative. At this point in Somali history - the corrupt, mismanaged countries of Kenya and Ethiopia have some semblance of government that we in Somalia are lacking in much of the country. If we can get to their level that will be a step up. I don't expect an immaculate epiphany in Somali governance but I do expect a step up from our current situation. As to the ICU - they hardly needed to be infiltrated and disbanded. They self-imploded with their jihad on TFG and Ethiopia.

^You have doubts as to my myriad abilities? You have no confidence as to my sincere desire to affect the best for our country? Adeer - waad i maagtay.

^Adeer - this is a possible attempt at building something from the rubble. If this attempt comes crashing down - we will hardly sink to a new level - just an accumlation of more rubble. Hardly anything new in Somalia. But this attempt at building is the most noteworthy since the collapse. Thus my hope.

^ok Che - my high school spanish is limited. And according to the web - there is no translation for entonces. Stop making shid up. I was just offering our ladies my sincere interest in their airing out their 'dirty' laundry without the passwords suggested by Femme. We are all family here after all!

^Lol Castro. You are one of a kind - a true original in all sincerity. No matter our differing points of view.

^Lol - if you should see a sudden and remarkable increase in my adulatory posts on A/Y - you will know I've got the job. In the meantime - I'm hedging my bets.

^Likely adeer but my position is let's see and wait. And it is not necessarily clannist to pro-TFG or anti-TFG. There are valid non-genealogical reasons for both. That is my position.

Ain't no party - we is starving dog. There is hope we maybe able to start cleaning up ourselves after a long soujourn in the filth. Hope is commodity in short supply in the homeland. Adeer - are you really a father? How come I didn't see no thread? Congratulations and Hamblayo.

Originally posted by Castro: ^ I could reject A/Y based on his actions or on his lineage. I'm clearly justified in the former, not so the latter. Pray tell, LePoint, on what basis do the worshipers of Yeey do so if it's not based on lineage? And in direct rejection of his actions. Adeer - don't ask me. Ask his 'worshippers'. And then keep your ears and heart open. And his record is hardly black and white adeer. It's not as if he's all baaaad. So, even if I reject him for his lineage, I'm just another clannist Somali who has every right to do so. But there's enough reasonable doubt in my case (based on Yeey's record) to swing a jury the other way. In the case of GD (and his day care), I'm not sure you even need a jury. I will not dispute that there are valid reasons for you not to support A/Y. But there also maybe valid reasons to support him too. Whenever this latter argument is made - a number of folks cry 'clannist' or he's your 'uncle'. Perhaps one could support him because he actually established some sort of functioning administration in his neck of the woods. I don't know - but this 'they have no case for supporting him apart from clan reasons' equates to the man is all bad. I just don't think that is supported by the facts. Either way, accuse me all you want. Yeey is a criminal warlord and the head of a puppet government installed by the west. "Put that in your pipe and smoke it." Adeer - I didn't accuse you of anything. But the idea that anti-TFG folks are wholly free from clannism struck me as 'whoa nelly'! That is all. And you are certainly entitled to your beliefs. I've smoked the pipe - you ready to have it back?

^It is useful to learn Arabic for religious reasons yes and it will give you a better sense of the Quran and Islam. But learning Arabic will not make you necessarily understand the Quran. It is the comprehension I'm talking about.

^lol - the man is happy these days - let him enjoy it.

^no lo comprendo

^Oh Paragon stop! People keep accusing each of other of clan hatred here all the time. Anti-TFG folks have hardly been circumspect on this. BTW - congratulations on your new fatherhood

Few personafy it more than Warlord/clanist extraordinaire C/Yuusuf. And how is it you and others accuse TFG detractors of being motivated by clanism? The TFG is clanist government, divvying up power and parlimentary seats along clan size. How odd and bizzare that those who oppose the TFG outright or some of it's leaders are accused of clanism when the entire government, it's leaders are there for no reason other than to represent a particular clan. Strange indeed. Actually that agrument is not so strange to elucidate. Since A/Y is 'in charge' - those who dislike his 'genes' will be opposed to the TFG regardless of how many other 'genes' may be involved.

^Estrogen overdose - only tolerable if the extra estrogen is that of your other spouse(s) or that of your daughters.
-
^Abti - few husbands want their spouse's mother cramping their style - there's only one king and his queen needs to get her azz cracking to keep him in his royal style

^Arabic is down with it. I am starting Arabic lessons too in a week but in a more formal clss setting. I can understand Swahili helped but didn't your Somali also help Stoic? PS - the reference to understanding Quran after learning Arabic is highly overrated. The classical language of the Quran is vastly different from Modern Standard Arabic.

^Hmmm. I think there are 2 separate issues here that are being mixed up. Did these groups (SSDF, SNM, USC etc) have a right to rebel against Barre and his oppressive regime? I think the answer is a clear yes. Were they correct in some of the tactics they used particularly when civilians came to harm? The answer is a clear no. Where they committed atrocities these groups are to be condemned.

^Che - It's more the women imo but I think I know what u saying. Getting into music biz is hard - she should look into modeling. No talent needed.

^The Ibiti and Cynical Show!!!!!!!!! I don't care if a woman says I hate to cook. I just hate those who say 'I can't cook or I am unable to cook'. Go learn - it's a part of life. Yellah.

^A truly lovely name. I don't know what it is - but a lot of Somali women have such a distinctive look to them. Without knowing her background - I would've said that girl is Somali from the pic. PS - what does Sagal mean?
