    The Camel

Alhamdulilah for this Iman that Allah has bestowed upon us. 'Surely! In this are signs, for those who see (or understand or learn the lessons from the signs of Allah)'. [Surah al-Hijr 15:75] Here are some cool Camel facts: The hump is full of fat, not water. It will shrink if the camel doesn't eat. Baby camels are born without a hump. They need start eating solids before they'll develop one (or two). They have a double row of long curly eye lashes to keep sand and dust out and and a third eyelid acts as a windshield wiper, moving from side to side to wipe the sand away. They also have a ridge and thick bushy eyebrows to shade their eyes from the sun. Even though their ears are quite small, they have excellent hearing. They have fur inside their ears to keep sand and dust out. They can close their nostrils to keep sand out. Their feet are soft and spread out so they won't sink in the sand. They have two toes on each foot joined by a tough web and leathery padded souls. They form leathery pads on their knees for kneeling. They moult in spring and grow a new coat by autumn. They gulp down their food without chewing, then regurgitate & chew the cud later. In the wild camels get most of the water they need from the plants they eat but in captivity they might not get enough. They need 30-40 litres of water each, every day. If they are extremely thirsty they can drink 100 litres in 10 minutes. Their natural diet is quite high in salt, so in captivity they should be provided with a salt block to lick. http://www.abc.net.au/creaturefeatures/facts/camels.htm

    The Camel

Allah Ta'ala said speaking to those who chose to disbelieve: 'Do they not look at the camels, how they are created'? [Surah al-Ghashiyah 88:17] al-Haafidh Ibn Kathir said in his tafseer of this ayah: 'Indeed it is an amazing creation, and the way it has been fashioned is strange. For it is extremely powerful and strong, yet gentle, carrying heavy loads. It allows itself to be guided by a weak rider. It is eaten, benefit is derived from its hair, and its milk is drunk. They are reminded of this because the most common domestic animal of the Arabs was the camel. Shurayh Al-Qadi used to say, "Come out with us so that we may look at the camels and how they were created, and at the sky and how it has been raised.' [Tafseer Ibn Kathir 88/171]

  9. The Prophet [sallahu alayhi wa salam] said : “The anger of Allah is most intense against a man who is killed by the Messenger of Allah for the sake of Allah (on the battlefield).” [Sahih al-Bukhari ; 4073] 'And he (sallahu alayhi wa salam) did not kill with his hand anyone except Ubayy bin Khalaf. He killed him on the day of Uhud, and did not kill anyone else with his hand before or after this.' ['Minhaj as-Sunnah an-Nabawiyyah'; 8/78]

  12. Abu al-Darda'a radiallahu 'anhu said: Three things made me laugh & three things made me cry: The three who made me laugh are: 1. A person who has long high hopes In this Life while death is looking for him 2. A person who is Unthinking while he is being watched and observed by Allah 3. A person who Laughs while he does not know whether Allah is pleased with him or not The three that made me cry are : 1. The hardship and the scary scene of the Day of Judgment!!! 2. The inability to make any more good deeds after death 3. My standing before Allah while not knowing whether I am going to heaven or to Hellfire!!! [Siyar al-A'lam wa Al-Nubala 3/134]

  18. The Prophet sallahu alayhi wa salam said: “The most lightly punished person in Hell will have two sandals and laces of fire because of which his brains will boil like a cauldron*. He will not think that anyone else is more severely punished than him, but he will be the most lightly punished.” [Sahih Bukhari 6562; Muslim; 213] *A cauldron is a large metal pot (kettle) for cooking and/or boiling over an open fire
  19. Their Punishment: Surely! Those who disbelieved in Our Signs, We shall burn them in Fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for other skins that they may taste the punishment. Truly, Allaah is Ever Most Powerful, All-Wise.” [Surah al-Nisa’ 4:56] “If only those who disbelieved knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the Fire from their faces, nor from their backs; and they will not be helped.” [Surah al-Anbiya’ 21:39] They will not be able to ransom themselves: Verily, those who disbelieve, if they had all that is in the earth, and as much again therewith to ransom themselves thereby from the torment on the Day of Resurrection, it would never be accepted of them, and theirs would be a painful torment.” [Surah al-Maa’idah 5:36] “Verily, those who disbelieved, and died while they were disbelievers, the (whole) earth full of gold will not be accepted from any one of them even if they offered it as a ransom. For them is a painful torment and they will have no helpers.” [Surah Aal ‘Imraan 3:91] They will wish they were Muslim: “Perhaps (often) will those who disbelieve wish that they were Muslims.” [Surah al-Hijr 15:2] The Life of hell will not cease to exist, nor will they die (in hell): But those who disbelieve, for them will be the Fire of Hell. Neither will it have a complete killing effect on them so that they die, nor shall its torment be lightened for them. Thus do We requite every disbeliever!” [Surah Faatir 35:36] And may the curse of Allah be upon the disbelievers, ameen.
  20. The Promise: “And whosoever does not believe in Allaah and His Messenger [Muhammad (sallahu alayhi wa salam)], then verily, We have prepared for the disbelievers a blazing Fire.” [Surah al-Fath 48:13] “Verily, those who disbelieve, and die while they are disbelievers, it is they on whom is the Curse of Allaah and of the angels and mankind, combined.” [Surah al-Baqarah 2:161] “… so woe to the disbelievers from the meeting of a great Day (i.e., the Day of Resurrection, when they will be thrown in the blazing Fire).” [Surah Maryam 19:37] Verily, Allaah has cursed the disbelievers, and has prepared for them a flaming Fire (Hell).” [Surah al-Ahzaab 33:64] Their moment of death(when the angel comes to take their soul): And if you could see when the angels take away the souls of those who disbelief (at death), they smite their faces and their backs, (saying): ‘Taste the punishment of the blazing Fire.’” [surah al-Anfaal 8:50] Their drink: “… But those who disbelieved will have a drink of boiling fluids and painful torment because they used to disbelieve.” [Surah Yoonus 10:5] Their clothing: “… Then as for those who disbelieve, garments of fire will be cut out for them, boiling water will be poured down over their heads.” [Surah al-Hajj 22:19]
