  1. The new opposition coalition, called the Alliance for the Liberation of Somalia, includes a 191-member "central committee" that will function as a parliament. A 10-person "executive committee" is expected to be announced on Thursday, closing the opposition congress that kicked off in the Eritrean capital Asmara on September 6. http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5hp684RUKwrT6D6KCcwLTD_eP24dQ

  3. Ever wondered why the TFG's clan meeting in Mogadishu has been paid no attention at all...it's basically been dubbed as a failed gathering of thugs and their stooges...in the world editorials.. On the same token though ever wondered why this on-going Asmara conference is attracting the attention of the world and seems and sounds more serious and agenda driven than the just-ended Habashi conference in Mogadishu... shows you Darajada iyo mustawaha labada shir aay kala leeyihiin....
  4. WE ARE NOT CHIMPANZEES ON BANANAS….WE BELONG TO THE HUMAN SPECIES TOO…BUT WE LIKE THE BANANA TOO… It is simply adding fire to the fuel...I don't think there is any sane person in here who would’ve felt merry to had them stand every day before the class and recount to their school peers how normal, regular and average human beings they are....It is a very ludicrous way of approaching and finding solutions to whatever existing problems one may think that program was intended to help cast a light on… If the media wants Islam to explain itself, it should have Islamic scholars on but this sort of making Muslims, every Muslim, practicing or not practicing, modern or archaic, Sufi or Salafi, whoever, lumping them altogether like that, subtly condemning them and worse making them explain and defend themselves before the world, and where in certain cases they can’t because of their lack of Islamic knowledge and association with the religion itself,is nothing else but a failing way of getting to the bottom of whatever is ailing the GOS (Good Old System) I could only feel sorry for the muslims in the Diaspora….they are really caught between rock and a hard place…
  5. On your left corner, wearing the red, blue and green flag of her country, weighing a mere 186lb minus the last night's pie, with a long record of honesty and truth telling, a height advantage of 3" and a powerful left hook is your challanger, the one and only one, the free-styler Mrs. Tesfamariam.. Ok...and on your right corner...yeah there..overthere on your right is the defender...wide and thick..Mrs. French Fries Frazer The incoherent and racist policy for Africa that is being advanced by ill advised Islam phobic State Department officials using the “war on terror” as a pretext has terrorized innocent populations by pulverizing their villages and homes, creating unnecessary hysteria about Islam the religion and its followers. Disseminating tall tales of “spreading Islamic Caliphates” etc. etc and threatening to put Eritrea on the “US terror list” at the behest of Meles Zenawi and his illegitimate, vote rigging, minority regime says a lot about Jendayi E. Frazier as an official of the US Government, and the African Bureau that she is charged with leading. The minority regime in Ethiopia that Jendayi E. Frazier is shielding diplomatically and politically is one that: ·Has violated international law by invading and occupying Somalia ·Has violated the Algiers Agreements between Eritrea and Ethiopia ·Has violated the African Union and UN Charters by invading and occupying territories in neighboring States, its latest victim being Somalia. ·Has violated over two dozen Security Council resolutions on the Eritrea Ethiopia border issue, and several resolutions on Somalia including the arms embargo on Somalia, Resolution 1724 and 1725 on Somalia ·Has violated IGAD resolutions on Somalia ·Has violated the human rights of the Ethiopian people, detained and tortured thousands, committed genocides in Gambela and in the Ogaaddeen region of Ethiopia http://www.americanchronicle.com/articles/viewArticle.asp?articleID=37228
  6. Somalia: Prime Minister Gedi Meets With Abukar Omar Adani in Djibouti http://allafrica.com/stories/200709070692.html Couldn't read much from the vagueness of this piece...Could someone spell out more about the circumstances behind that meeting and the spinning afterwards....
  7. The terrorist outrages in Kenya and Tanzania [the U.S. embassy bombings in 1998] were launched from Somalia. Somalia was a very well known key hideout for key leaders of al-Qaeda in the Horn. Talk about being shameless and these Tigraynan warlords...its like Once a warlord always a warlord... PBS's Frontline has a two hour long program on that same issue where they went up and down in Somalia and found zero, zip, zelch nothing... in all over the place...from one Raas to another..yet again maybe this former warlord is just reaffirming that exaggerated, wild nonsense which the rest of the world wants to hear...without examining its validity...and intentions...

  17. What is the distance between u guys....how close or far apart r u...? the practability of these sorts of relationships most often lies in the distance...if she is still in Africa, i think u get a great chance to make it work...
  18. i do not rule out khat completely i'm sure it's playing it's role I think we are sayin the same thing...would u ban it though...???
  19. but if both countries had jobs in abundance this plant would enable these youth to work two or more shifts a day and become a positive productive force for their countries None taken...Iska hadal walaal looma hadlo and no disrespect meant either....but do u ever thnk that it could also lead, instead of your rosy pciture, dream like scenerio of a productive society, did it also occur to you, ever put it into account that it could have a reverse and a negative effect on the community...doubling the rate of crime for instance, like leading and making it easy to commit murder, to rape and to many family problems in the Diaspora... you see no one can effectively argue that the Moryaans in Somalia are catogarized as being lazy and idle in the physical sense of the word but the question is what do they do with their Qaat high? besides insomnia and oral cancer, they kill and maime and rape little innocent girls that is the most common thing the Moryaan chew that Qaat for, to give them a comfortability level to commit to these horrible things and it has done a pretty good job ... I have been around Qaad and dealt with families with Qaat problems and I know its effect on families...and it aint productive the least...did you ever work in community center in Minneapolis or Seatle or Ohio or London...did u ever chew it yourself.??? I hope and pray (sincerely) for your multiple uncles to find a way to kick this habit...trust me they could have been ten times more productive than you have said they are....
  20. Khat has been circulating in Somalia since the 13th century as it was recorded by Al-umari,but since you explained the Somali's reason for that addiction maybe you could do the same for the Yemenis on the other side of the Gulf of Aden The issue here has got nothing to do with whether Ethiopia has brought Qaad to Somalia or not. Samatar’s contention, (with facts and figures to support with it), if you don't try to read beyond the lines, is not anything pertained to Qaad and its origin but rather how governments and institutions use drugs to calm and control their subjects all over the world...what the good professor is confessing similarly and eloquently trying to explain is How QAAT is being used as a political weapon and a means to divide and manipulate the Somali population by foreign entities… Of course Qaat, like heroine and its other sister drugs, might have been around since the 13th century, but the gist of this all is that it won’t and shouldn’t be a shocker to anyone of us to see Ethiopia somehow trying to exploit one of Somali’s weaknesses (Qaad in this instance) to its advantage.
  21. None of that gibberish, pretentious, non-Somali words and roots come to my mind at all...Ethical or not, moral or abhorrently immoral, suitability factors (appropriate or not) why bother....why would I want to be bothered with anyone of those baloney, rubbish little phrases..I don’t want to be judgmental about this, absolutely not….I want, in my heart of heart, try to be in their shoes, try to asses and feel what they have felt…get as close to them as possibly human at their end moment, see and smell their last and final breath…why try and reason an unreasonably unreasonable thing...The death of those little kids, who like me, have their own brothers, fathers and mothers and sisters and cousins and friends, their own friends deserves more from me than to just sit back here and judge the aftermath…of their execution. The public slaughter of those kids while they were in the custody of their peers, as horrible as it is, is understandable but what seems to be ten times horrifying is to just see us dwelling on the semantic of a word here and a word there....pretentious, pompous, rootless words… What comes to one’s mind, my own mind repetitively thus, as I see and examine the pictures of these young fallen brothers, the all SEVEN of them, are things like; how long had they suffered, had they been tortured prior to the shooting, where were they picked up, who was there, was their family there too helplessly watching as the kids collapsed, where did that bullet hit first, how long it took them to die, did they struggle, beg their captives to spare, pleaded for mercy, or were they innocent, were they just passing by there, you know being at the wrong place at the wrong time, were they strong and brave enough and never begged their killers, did they stand on their ground and never budged, were they told to go, dismissed and then shot as they were fleeing half-happy, half-uncertain about their fate. Clearly you could see the struggle from their clothes, torn and tattered, way before they were shot…were there other people, other kids from school or somewhere else, who happened to be there too, as they were shot and the bullet (what kind, what size) shattered their skull one after the other…perhaps the Imam of the nearby Masjid saw the whole thing, tried to persuade the killers but was told to stay away or else… How bad, how close, did they bleed profusely, who picked them up afterwards, did they get a proper burial…unspeakable…did they ever go to school, private or public? how many times were they shot, who told their parents about their death, were the young ones able, as they were falling, to face the Qibla and for one last time beg their Creator to have mercy, abundant and plentiful and just mercy, on their souls….
  22. MMA...Thanks But on the same token some of us feel (including I suspect my friend Caamir) that the pictures of Yeey and the butcher dheerow shown daily in SOL and particularly in the POS section are too explicit to display without some sort of pre-cautioning... To level the plain field...why not discontinue posting the graphic faces of Yeey and Geedo and have them linked..Instead... Simply because of the atrocities they commit on our behalf and the ugly and disgusting way they carry themselves like the one we all have seen in the above link parading over the dead and spiting on them in the case of Dheerow should and must warrant their faces and names to be too graphic to show in SOL and thus unsuitable for our taste and incompatible to the universal values of respect for all Mankind... I hope you take that point up with your other friend moderators and get rid once and for all these…black Hitlers, Nazi-like faces of Yeey the hideous Vampire and Dheerow the Human butcher plus all those other thugs you guys deem to be unworthy of our sight…
  23. Someone should b held accountable for this...Sadam Hussein paid his dues 20 odd years later...if only these thugs could learn from history especeilly the people who are mouthpieces of these warlords...Not for the likes we see in SOL and the people who are wastin their times with other Qurbo joog in these forums... But honestly how will Bedel or Adeer Yusuf azzahari will answer to these charges of Human rights abuses...with pictures like these... Has anyone emailed them the pictures at the UN and solicit an explanation, just an explanation from them...??
  24. I am sure when this thing happened, someone secretly snapped a picture on the crowd, who run to see the incident and the dead, to politicize So in other words Caamir you would have wanted those atrocities to go on unreported?? those characters like Yeey vampire and Melez stooges and butcher dheerow to not be exposed??? daaaaaaamn them those who snapped the picture "secretly" and showed the world the inhuminity of it all Brother...we shouldn't let hate blind us at all...this seems to be as bad as it can get...nothing political about a dead human being on display in the gutter nor about a leader who seems to be taking a great deal of pride and joy about the smell of the dead human flesh...bal waxaan wax kasugayno.. P.S I second that notion too...would the moderator please!!!

Your post was a bit vague..that's all..if you could shine a little light on...the gruosome picture shows one HUMAN BEING dead lyin there and other HUMAN BEINGs standing over the corpse, and by the look in their eyes, wanting to eat the dead HUMAN body...
