Tillamook, I am hoping against hope considering the gravity of the situation. But if war does come, a balkanized Ethiopia is more preferable than unitary totalitarian one regardless of what group assumes power. Abtigiis and ONLF have tough choices ahead of them. On a side note, I made a bet with our Oodka saying Somaligalbeed will gain independence the before secessionists. I might just win that bet. Galbeedi, Whatever the underlying situation is, it created chaos and even more suspension among the group. This will eventually become unsustainable.

I think before we got into anything, they should finish the constitution and hold GENUINE reconciliation process for all Somalis. If it's hard to stear Somalis if the mistrust continues and qabiil lords exploit that mistrust.

Xaaf is done indeed and no one is coming to Kenya's aid. They don't seem to understand Farmaajo and Kheyr cannot politically risk the wrath of the public. They will have no chance coming back should they sit with Kenya. In regards to the federal issue, Farmaajo needs to tread carefully.

June 17, 2019 For Immediate Release On June 17, 2019, more than 28 years since its closing on January 5, 1991, the United States reopened a permanent USAID Mission in Somalia. Establishing a USAID Mission in Mogadishu is an important milestone in the deepening U.S. development partnership with the Somali people, made possible by the Somali government’s commitment to meaningful reform and re-engagement with the international community. Establishing a Mission also underscores USAID’s commitment to supporting the people and Government of Somalia to maintain momentum in their Journey to Self-Reliance. The USAID Mission, led by Mission Director Jeffrey Bakken, will work closely with the people and Government of Somalia to advance peace and stability, strengthen institutions, and work together towards a safer, more prosperous, and self-reliant Somalia. The one thing we could thank Woyanes for is reawaking of ethnonationalism among Ethiopians. They have made sure the country is balkanized once they lose power. They are fully prepared for any eventuality. The question is would the Somali be ready once Ethiopia comes apart? I have seen many Ethiopians. They are mild-mannered people for the most part but the ones I see nowadays are either ready to unite Ethiopia by force or destroyed by force. There's to be no middle ground.
