  1. Higuain: Real Madrid expecting Cole arrival

Gonzalo Higuain says Real Madrid are "very confident" about signing Ashley Cole and says the Chelsea left back will face less intrusion into his private life if he does move to Spain.

Ashley Cole was a member of the England team that failed at the World Cup

Cole has been strongly linked with a move to Real following their appointment of Joe Mourinho, his former manager at Chelsea. It is also reported that Cole's strained relationship with the English press and public could convince him to leave Stamford Bridge.

It is a possibility that both Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti and chairman Bruce Buck have been quick to dismiss in recent days, but Real do not appear to have been deterred in their pursuit of Cole.

Higuain fully expects Cole to reunite with Mourinho at the Bernabeu and believes a transfer would be beneficial both from a personal and professional perspective.

"At Madrid, Cole's football will make all the headlines, not his private life. I think that will be a big incentive for him," Higuain said in The Sun.

"I have spoken with a couple of senior players who the club confide in and they are very confident that we will sign him in the next few weeks. The vibe around the training ground is that the deal will be done. All the players are very excited about his arrival.

"It does not surprise me that Chelsea say he is not for sale. If you have a player who is the best in the world in his position then you do everything you can to try to keep him. But when Madrid want a player we usually get our man.

"I was speaking with Cristiano Ronaldo and he told me Cole is the toughest defender he has ever played against. So if Ashley Cole decides he wants to join the greatest club in the world and play for his old friend Jose Mourinho again, then I am sure the transfer will go through before the start of the season."

  2. Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini '99 per cent certain' of capturing Aleksandar Kolarov

Left-back will complete a medical at Eastlands next week

Roberto Mancini revealed Manchester City are ‘99 per cent certain’ of signing left-back Aleksandar Kolarov from Lazio.

The Serbian international is expected to join Eastlands for a reported £19 million fee in the next few weeks according to the City chief, subject to passing a medical next week.

Big-spending City have already acquired the services of Yaya Toure, David Silva and Jerome Boateng this summer, but look set to usher in another addition after 24-year-old Kolarov was granted a work permit.

“He [Aleksandar Kolarov] has the ability to play in numerous positions and is very good in midfield," Mancini told the club’s website.

"This is an additional benefit to the team. He has a fantastic international career ahead of him. I first saw Kolarov in his Lazio debut back in 2007. I was impressed by the speed and strength of someone so young.

“I have watched him a lot since then and so have the Manchester City scouts. His attacking capability is very good. He is fast and can shoot with power and accuracy.

“He was composed on the ball, had an excellent delivery with his left foot and was technically very able.”

Mancini remained confident that Wayne Bridge, City’s current first choice at left-back, still has a future with the club.

“I want two top class players for each position,” added Mancini.

  3. Chelsea functions completely oppositely to a team like Arsenal, Where Chelsea is all big stars, seen as the 'English galacticos' where much of their fame has recently been bought about by buying star players and having a style which attracted enthusiasts.

Chelsea has currently become fixated on quick glory through money and while attempting change is unable to shake and divert its unfortunate equibillirium. Simply because its star status comes with heavy responsibllity especially for the managers where if the managers dont succeed into the top position they are immediately removed. Theres no flexibillity so space for any youth prospects is left out.

The disadvantage to this is the aging of their own players and the eventual decline of the time.

Arsenal mostly exploited their own youth network and groumed their imported youngsters.

You have a case like Franco a good prospect who has been fought over by several of the top clubs to sign a few years ago. He is one of their few youngsters hardly gets anytime to play and now is being sent off for loan to be replaced by Mario Ballotelli (if they succeed in signing him that is).

  4. Duke, mugging or not we know that their seccession wont very likely come in this current geopolitical track unless the impossible happens.

So dont fret or waste your time with them, Oodweyne may have been like that after the last elections, but i can understand why he would go that far cosidering 7 years on he had a similar euphoria after the end of this one, but he was conclusionless in regards to when recognition will happen. :D I guess he learned off his mistakes.

But the endless painfull status quo will continue so long as the rise of a Somali republic is suppressed by whatever is in South.

  5. War, pain and suffering, there will be nominally effective AU intervention, there will be more inter Somali conflicts in the North and severe attacks staged on the people of Puntland.

    Insha Allah khair.

    :D:D

Great observation for the rest of your post though.

  6. Libaahe, isnt the Somali 'suicide cementry' composed of natives, do you not think they have more of a right to determine the path their region takes than foreigners which only has completing old colonial borders to gain recognition in their mind.

Also this is post anarchic Somalia everyones a free man, right..? :D

  7. A source of disagreement it is, despite the hadiths, some culuma say it is a tradition followed from Pre-Islamic era, some say its only for the Prophets Wife and other say its a recent phenomenon.

The reason why its not wore by most Muslim woman, if you look at each society youll always notice that the niqab wearers are always a small minority and is not a popular practises.

Personally i believe its an Islamic cultural tradition which is respectable when wore but i definitely dont belive its waajib.

This is one of many enforcements which leads Muslims to say that the Taliban extremists, they forcefully make each female wear it and make it a punishment not to.

  8. The seccessionists obviously view this development as a threat to their own ambitions, considering 'democracy and freedom' were terms they used to bargain for to the west.

Once elections becomes more noticeable and seen as a development and achievement in other autonomous regions in Somalia theirs will be viewed as less significant and the long prospects for recognition appeasement to outsiders will be affected.

  9. The Niqaab maaha waajib, laakin woman would much prefer to wear the NIqab is she is a widow.

There are countless Hadiths mainly from Aisha that say mention weaing the Niqab but i believe its only limmited to the Prophets wifes.

In any case people should be given the freedom to choose, its definitely not xaaram and its shamefull that even as an Arab socialist government are resorting to these tactics.

  10. ^^

Awoowe i didnt realize their was another thread like this which you opened 5 days ago, mine looks clearly better though. :D

You need to understand that your duq :D team which is aging by the day won the league on the last day, even then by only one point.

p.s. Who told you i support Arsenal.

  11. Hopefully Wenger will be bring in the new wayne rooney connor wickham(Ipswich).

That kid is being fought over by your rivals Tottenham aswell, theyve recently chanced on buying him for 4 Million, but it was rejected, they then tried 8 Million but it was rejected again. I think atleast 10 Million is needed to buy him.

He is no way a new Wayne Rooney, this kid should not be getting this much publicity and fought over to the extent to 10 Million considering he has no Prem League experience and he can underperform because of it.

  12. This was one of the funnier threads you made of these types.

ont get discouraged from writing though because of some of the snide comments, i find them really funy.

A delegation of extremely important european people have landed at the karl polanyi airport, moorishland and bladland state of Somalia. The delegation included 5 female
    zebra crossing
    officials, 5
    ticketing inspectors
    and 5
    overweight
    builders from Putney.

    :D:D

  13. Alshabab are no longer the people I support. They are irrelevent as far as I know. Their war no longer carries any weight hereby justified to any sane person. They have only magnified the suffering of Somali masses and have disappointed me and alot of people who have allot of hope invested in them. markaa maxaa ku taageeraa?

Hypocrite maa tahay? oh Red Sea,

If im not mistaken you are chearing for your 'distinct homeland' in the North and while calling for what you yourself view as 'suffer and displacement' in the South.

  14. Manchester United To Approach Bayern With Fresh Philipp Lahm Bid - Report

Manchester United are ready to launch a raid for Bayern Munich full-back Philipp Lahm, with the German giants ready to consider offers, according to reports.

FOX Sports comments that United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has long been an admirer of Lahm, who captained Die Mannschaft to third place in the World Cup finals in South Africa, but his previous advances have been rebuked.

After watching the 26-year old star during the tournament, Ferguson is ready to make another offer to the Champions League runners-up in order to entice Lahm to the Premier League.

Bayern have slapped a valuation of £15m on the player, and United are also ready to offer striker Dimitar Berbatov or midfielder Ji-Sung Park as makeweights in any possible transfer.

The Red Devils found the right-full back area to be a problem position last season, following a succession of injuries for Wes Brown and veteran Gary Neville, meaning that youngster Rafael played a prominent part in the campaign.

However, Ferguson is unsure whether the 20-year old Brazilian is ready to be first choice, hastening his pursuit of Lahm.

  15. Arsenal To Return With An £18M Bid For Everton Defender Phil Jagielka - Report

Arsenal are reportedly in line to offer Everton £18 million in exchange for the services of defender Phil Jagielka.

The Gunners were recently believed to have had a bid of £14m turned down, and The Daily Star claims that they are ready to return to Goodison Park with an improved offer for the former Sheffield United man.

The north London club recently signed defender Laurent Koscielny, but the non-committal nature of Sol Campbell coupled with the departures of William Gallas and Mikael Silvestre are believed to have left manager Arsene Wenger in the hunt to sign another defender.

Toffees' boss David Moyes is thought to be keen to hold on to the player, but it has been speculated that the lure of Champions League football could prove difficult to resist for Jagielka.

  16. We Really Want To See Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas At Barcelona - Pep Guardiola

Reigning Spanish champions Barcelona are continually being linked with a move for Arsenal star Cesc Fabregas, but the Blaugrana have been unable to reach an agreement with the Gunners so far.

Barcelona are not giving up on the Spanish international though and head coach Pep Guardiola has made it clear that he's still hopeful that Fabregas will make the move to Catalunya, even though the midfielder won't join on the cheap.

"I totally understand that Arsenal are reluctant to let go of a player like Cesc Fabregas. He's a great player and we'd love to see him ply his trade at Barcelona next term," Guardiola was quoted as saying by AS.

"However, it's up to technical director Andoni Zubizarreta to reach an agreement with Arsenal. Like president Sandro Rosell said before, signing Cesc won't be cheap, but we're determined to lure him to Barcelona."

Fabregas has revealed his desire to return to Barcelona on more than one occasion, but the Catalan side appear to be reluctant to offer more than €45 million for the 23-year-old, while Arsenal are believed to be holding out for €60m.
