    The arrival of the rebel fighters in Somaliland came through deal between the new Somaliland president Ahmed Silanyo and Eritrean government. the agreement was about that ONLF should freely use Somaliland ports for freedom fighting agianst Ethiopia.

    if there was a deal arranged beforehand why are their reports that Somaliland attacked Onlf, secondly this information says a lot about the new regime.

    I do remember seeing pictures of politician of Abdirashid Ali Shermaake administration shaking hands with and dining with the Chinese Premier and other honourable figures such as Ho Chinh Minh

    Somalia was a neutral country in terms of allignments with the communist world and the west, also the opposition to Haile Selassies oppressive and iron fist rule.

    Somalia had a healthy foreign policy.

    The site made untrue accounts to the social structure found in the region.

     

    baraadhere, the largest city in the province of Gedo is home to 5 primary shools, 2 high schools and two higher education institutions.

    University of Gedo and Bardera Polytechnic.

    It also has two radio networks.

     

    beled Hawo another large city maintains an international airport and schools.

    Im sure the smaller cities are also relatively home to similar institutions.

    Nassir saxib the key is to have a democratic establishment within the country but as an alternative to Federalismn you can look towards decentralization of the state or Deconcentration, regionalism, Devolution,

    All these types of regionalism redistributes greater power (decision making, budget) from the central government circles to officials working in local municipalities, provinces or districts and create strong local field administrations.

    Id like to make something clear about this conflict which im completely confused with.

     

    In 2009 elections the Maakhir constituency with their consent followed Ilka jir to return to the Puntland state.

    This agreement returned them to the Puntland fold and i believe it was unanimous.

     

    How could Atams call to arms to attack Puntland be justified because of what he perceives to be violation of his land but when the truth that his land is part of Puntland because of the 2009 agreement and Ilka Jiir was understood to have more authority in his region as he was made minister in the area and also order for Shariah law to be implemented?

     

    What gives him the authority to do such things?

    That anology is more similar to that of someone excessively using drugs, that one is a personal issue; Anyways lightening creams is not limited to one culture, it is also generally understood to contain dangerous side effects, on the other hand this one is about abusing a system put in place by the government.

    If the stories about Mothers intentionally filing for divorce to take advantage of such a system and purposely follow such a path is true, then i must admit that she has the right to expose it such a way that will alert and inform the government and alike about these ill tendencies taking place, even if may be painfull.

    The far right/anti immigrant band receiving ammunition is unfortunately a consequence of bad behaviour, the idea is for communities to refrain from taking such unsuitable discourses from the system in the first place.

    Troubling questions which federalism raises

     

    1)Dividing Somalia into clan states is harmful and only raises the prospects of the nation being filled with clanists, the first idea is to eleminate all forms of clanism (preferably under Central government) as a solution to the civil war. Clanism should be at first viewed as harmful and effort must be spread to the populace that it is wrong and remind the tragecies of statelessness. This would first create a conciousness within the populace that it its wrong to uphold it and likely teach to not spread qabilism to the future generation.

     

    How should Federal state borders be carved? first you do not want one clan to be in the dominance of another, For example if Galmudug were to be made part of Puntland which is **** block.

    State carving should in my opinion parallel historical perspectives such as the sultanates that existed in the past and likewise be in carved in areas sub clans and clans mainly inhabit.

    How about mixed clan cities such as Gedo, Kismayo which states should they be made part of. There would be SNF clan dissatisfacation if Gedo were made to be carved under the dominance of Baidhoa and likewise similar for Kismayo.

    So far Puntland claims all the regions which the **** clan inhabits, even if the Puntland clans maybe more related to eachoter than other clans such as the ones that inhabit the far North West, regions such as Maakhir have their own historical constituencies and recognize themselfes as independent even in clan aparatus of Puntland although they may share regions. The Puntland regime is dominated by one the sub clans of the **** clan which is unfair to the two other sub clans.

    A new formula in my opinion if there is to be a central government should be formed so that it fair to all regions in Somalia.

    I assure you that if ever it comes to a frontal engagement with Somaliland, then, Al-Shabaab of this world will not stand a snowball chance in hell against Somaliland's army.

    Niyow adiga buufis kilia baa haysa, im sure some of the posters here who support Alshabaab would have said the same thing of their own and have lifted them to the point of invisibillity as you are doing right now.

    Now im urging you to be more objective in what your saying and not obviously lose the biased tenacies which your enroaching with us on here.

    Were speakin of the entity here which gave the TFG numerous times a good run for its money under Yeey govenment and gave a good smaking to Ethiopias army which you would not dispute is much more powerful than either Puntland or Somaliland and combined too.

    The same entity which your also badmouthing is also highly motivated, trained, organized and also perhaps most expierenced fighting force in the Somali peninsula similar to that of the Taliban which is giving the Nato grievances in Afghanistan.

    It could fight any millitray in the Horn of Africa whose army numbers in the low tens of thousands and could give it a good fight. Now victory would obviously depend on certain factors as i have pointed out earlier.

     

    Don't u know Somaliland with less resources and capacity ran over the strongest military in Africa who defeated Ethiopia, Cuba and their allies.

    It was actually the USC that caused the collapse of the government. The SNM only targeted its clan regions.

    It was not Somaliland as the SNA was prinicpally a national army which includes the Northwestern territory.

    The success of guerella activities of the SNM itself needs to be reviewed.

    Somalia was actually decisively defeated by Ethiopia in the late 70s and lost a bulk of its army and weapons, later then it lost its title of being the most powerful in Sub saharan Africa.

    THe SNM was chiefly being supplied and was filled with weapons by entities such as Libya (which later withdrew support), S. Union and Ethiopia and like the SSDF had far more weapons than manpower.

    In 1988 Ethiopia the chief supplier withdrew support and the SNM pulled all of its major energy into one attack and captured half of Hargeisa and all of Burco and some other cities in the Northwest; a major bombings and invasions as a repurcusion followed and the SNM became until the collapse of the government dormant. or very low intensity.

    In the entire North-East what is today knowns as Puntland and the land to the west inhabits namely the Sool and Sanaaq was made entirely of small tuulos and the like and its populations unlike today ran if the few tens of thousands, today these regions in Puntland numbers in the high hundreds of thousands. A large number of the population of these clans (which would later immigrate back to their ancestral territories because of the civil war) settled in Mogadishu in which they immigrated to in the 40s, 50s and 60s (my family was one of them)

    There was practically no universities in the North (even in the much more dense North-west) and all the main educational institutions and the like was concentrated in the South namely Mogadishu, only Garowe in the North East actually had a high school. Students in Sool and Sanaaq actually had to travel all the way to either Garowe (which is closer to Las Anod) or Burco which is closer to other cities. Most students which graduated from high school had only the Somali National University which was then located in Mogadishu to turn to or learn in a different country.

    The South advantaged economically to the North in every conceivable way possible and the bulk of recources gained from the economy there was located and spent on Mogadishu.

    What you have today since the South fell in anarchy is the reversal of this and the stride is now shifted to the North, What the North now needs to today as its in the more dominant position is stand up and carry the destiny of the Somali race into their own hands.

    Single nothers nowadays within Somali familliacal circles is watched out and seen as a major grown problem not basically because of the divorce rate (which i belive is low anyways) or the more genuine khat problem which although has truth to it but simply because of the high death rate of Somali fathers.

     

    Somali culture in general cherishes parent cooperation to children and it certainly does not have this twisted tendencies where common mothers wold resort to such actions simply for money.

    Alshabaab is principally a Southern phonemon, in the post anarchic time, Somalia was carved in to two two regions in which each regions within said area share a same political constituency.

    This is the South and the North, and you could extend it a little bit and have another for the North west.

     

    Hypothetically speaking if a millitary clash did occur between two said belliguerents such as SomalilandPuntland and Alshabaab then it would obviously depend on millitary recources, the terrain, strategy, number of soldiers etc.

    It wouldnt matter if it was Ilka Jir or a Faroole, these folks would still support any Rebel leader that threatened the state.

     

    Awoowe your high fever emotional outbursts is now indulging on deep cuqdaad and other clan related qashiin, i suggest you transmit your opinions across on the Puntland administrations a different way without attacking an entire clan.

    Words such as "defeated the SSDF clan" are uncalled for and break forum rules.

     

    P.S im also highly critical of the Puntland administration and Farooles foreign policy, im calling out on your wrong ways.
