  1. Wind, Do you see a threat in the further expansion of Puntland into districts, say, closer to home? Not to me sxb, not at all. However I believe this will send an alarming sound and wrong message to the Northwest and Mogadisho based clans. This will not only be two districts joining with Putland but one clan united. The relationship will extend to Gode, Kismayo , most of Jubaland as far as the border of Kenya. Well, this is a good action to be taken, but I feel this is not the right time. Because we are in a time where prejudice is part of our daily life and suspicions are as high as Mountain Kilimanjaro. People might get wrong impressions for the wrong reasons, and of course in the wake of a new Somali government headed by man who himself is from the supposedly United clan. Far worse the centre of the clan-based administration is one, which was founded and headed for six years by none other the current president of Somalia. In reality, the Union will create so far the strongest and most influential clan-based autonomous administration of Somalia’s modern day, thus reaching and covering most/half of southern Somalia and most/half of the North and of course the central regions. Sxb, Imagine an army – a clan-based administration army and police under the control of one man, of one system and of one order, think what kind of message will this convery to the other clans, qualms. Qualms like this could be an obstacle for the new government, and as well as the idea of Somalis, such thing could arise questions like if these people want Somalisms for real, then why divisions of clan groupings at this time, when a Somali government that they head is formed? Scratch your heard, what is your answer? For saying that I don’t at all mean this will be a bottleneck to Mr A. Yusuf, contrary I think such move will help him and strengthen his position and give more powers to act at will, he will be able to travel freely from Ras Kambooni to Raas Haafun under the full support of his clan-based army, or militias whateva you call it. As of the case now in Jubaland such as Afmadow and Morgans’ malitia controlled areas, where in Afmadow the elders and local militiamen have publicly stated that they are supporting the government, offered armed men and will do anything to defend it, so any government officials or for that matter A.Yusuf himself can visit any day such areas, you know why??? Lol let me skip this one… So, I feel things like this will only worsen the situation, it’s just something that cannot be possible as of this time. That’s my thoughts

Sxb, the other day you posted this topic "If Mr Yusuf Dies", and you thinking this way, the dude is bothering you lot, is he? Just Get over it Don't warry mate he will die, ofcourse he must die?
  3. I don't think there is anything wrong with the above posted jobs. Only the chinese boy, feel sorry for him, now that is a bit too far, endangering you life is another matter. But the rest seems OK to me.

  5. They should have let them stay in jail for at least a few months No sxb not gain in doing that, just take away their passports, laba kale haku soo dhoofaan
  6. BOB Born in Jannaa Cabdalla just the opposite of Xaliimo Caddeey few blocks from Beer Xaane the North West of Buulo Xaaji just in front of Kulbiyoow which is situated behind Cag Libaax but grew up in Af Madoow and went to Af Madoow Primary school then went to Khookhaani where I attended Khookhaani High School and later on to Khookhaani University where I graduated with a distinction. Sxb not far from there, Canjeeeel
  7. Is this a case of Turkey joining Europle? If that's the case then I suggest, Abudwaq should get an appointment for 2008 of starting this talks... Before that they should improve their way of life, abandon the gun culture and come to term with standard values of Puntland.
  8. Honestly, As some nomads have mentioned earlier, I too believe this is a waste of time. Worthless ideas and unsabstaintiated dicussions comes as result of this qabiil thingy. Somalis, well, we know every body here is qabilist, and we shouldn't expect from such people come up with fair result for all. Im not making baseless accusations here... it is the truth nothing but the truth, deny it I will prove you wrong. Infact being here for a shorttime I now know every1's qabiil(or shall I say most of the nomads') and can post it, shall I? you are stunned here i can see....NO im not using Magic powers, Just the 1 or 2 lines you shared with us on SOL about the Somalis whether it be he in the west or back home. Put aside SOL users, think of thousands of Somali websites, that have no qabil name on it but you really know, not only their clan but sub-sub-sub clan. Forget about the cyber world for its not real. Look the situation on the ground in real life, the local communities, restaurants, Business and their clients who happen to be the clan, even to my amazement when i was told some mosques are owned and prayed only by one qabiil, How on earth we went this far? Sxb, simply every1 is qabilist. My recommendation of how to stop this ... Instead of the Nicknames let's call oursleves our clan and sub-sub clan names, for if you try to renounce it gets worse and worse. After all no trust among this nation, how could you do that? I suggest, to let them use it, call themselves with proper and clear qabiil names, engage business by qabiil without hiding the clan name, but then in the end the status of the Somali qabiil belief will downgrade from great strong beliefs and feelings to a simple insignificant names. Well, at least thats how I think. Gday!!
  9. OG For the above creature , you don't deserve any decent reply from me Thank you sister, but for what reason. Are you doing that for a view I hold or for an offence I commited against them bigfoot. Can't some1 reveal his opinion however hard it is for others to take it. Isn't the bueatiful of the game is having different views, that makes the world more entertained, excited, and guess that's why they teach us Democracy nowadays? By the way Im sorry, if I offended you by my remarks on the Arabs! Gday!
  10. No Sxb, you are wrong, we are not better than them - but we shouldn't be compared with them creatures, simple as that. Nite-Nite
  11. Why so many topics concerning Arabs as of late? Is about time, Sxb. We should leave the Arab league, and never to be associated with such creatures....   I think some nomads do not understand the difference between Muslims and Arabs, I say yes for Islam and the Muslims but hell to the creatures Infact Somalis = 100% Muslims (May be 0.02 non Muslims nowadays), but Arabs = 10%-15% or more non Muslims, see the difference. Gday!
  12. Again another Arab topic, Huh,LOOL But this time its neither love nor hate is just a learning session. Who is Arab? And how? How is not? What makes you an Arab, Is it a Nationality, race, or to speak Arabic language makes you an Arab, or born in an Arab country, or to be part of the Arab league??? Seriously I need enlightenment on this subject I’m a bit weary and I feel my questions are somehow unclear, but I will make myself understandable to get my point across with the following examples, which I hope will clarify the aim (as some nomads will come and ask? What was the aim, why did I do what I did? And so on and so forth) of this thread. I chose this topic for few reasons, the frequent use of the word Arab on this forum nowadays is staggering, and the bitter debates which some of the SOLers grouped Nomads into two: Arab lovers and haters, which I thought will blot a question mark on us, Somalis???. Who and what are we?? Are we Arabs? Yes or No, if yes how? and if not still how? Are there any real Arabs nowadays? In our era, if there are real Arabs(Arabnimo) I am simply doomed to say the Egyptians are the only passionate believers of the term. I lived and spent sometime in Egypt and I know a bit of the other Arab nations being from one myself (as far as the Arab league is concerned), never have I seen any nation who are into Arabism with full compassion like the Egyptians and the Syrians (even thou is more of the government than the people) I might say. But the Egyptians not only do they have the Arab league headquarters in Cairo or lead them in any other issue but simply the average Egyptian street is believed and dwell great enthusiasm for it. The national TV commentators, newspapers editors and as well the people on the street never cease but always remains to remember words like “Qadaya carabiya†and “Jamhuur alcarabâ€etc. For some reasons I believed it was because of their late leaders Like Jamal Abdi Nasir (who had strong and relentless believe in Arabism) and Asad the father, taught them heavy lessons that are not easily forgettable. While the other nations like the Gulf States or even the Arab African countries (Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Algeria, Mauritania) including the Negroes never mention that word all the time and careless about it, here my question comes - for that matter, are the Egyptians the real Arabs? I remember back few months ago, two of my college friends had a very serious and hot argument to who is Arab? An Algerian, who when he speaks Arabic sounds like a Frenchman who learned the language ten years ago. And a Sudanese from Um-Durman the city in Sudan. I couldn’t do anything but laugh and watch, the Algerian claimed the Sudanese was not an Arab. Sudani guy replies and went “its you who isn’t Arabâ€, they asked them selves why and how. The Algerian went on to justify his case and said “I’m an Arab with light skin from Algeria but you are just Negroâ€, the Sudani guy replied and said “I speak Arabic and we speak it in our country and from an Arab nation, but you are simply speaking French Arabic and your origin is in question, thus I’m more Arab than you do†hilarious Im in state of laughter, the Sudani guy went on to ask again, “If this is about color then why in your country you have people who are considered not to be Arabs, the Berbers, despite the fact that they speak as you do, have same color as you and from the same region.†The Algerian guy “Uuuhm ….eheem Because they were not Muslims and some are not to this dayâ€. I t was this time that I interrupted and asked Sudani guy why the Ereterians who are Arabic speaking nation not considered Arabs if as your case is based on language, and he goes I consider them Arabs and anyone who speaks the language to be an Arab, you will dude coz u are justifying your case. Another same humours theme was a day when I was watching Aljazeera TV, Faysal Alqasim if you know him, the guy who presents (Al itijaahul-mucaakis), brought two men on his program. A Kuwaiti journalist and an Egyptian writer, after a hard hash debate between them, the Kuwaiti guy was on the losing verge, knows who knows the program is who he has bigger voice wins. Knows who knows the Egyptians are blessed with voice and rhetoric mentioning in every sentence the word Arab or Arabism, thus was winning the argument. Simply the Kuwaiti dude got angry, heated up and said “What kind of Arab are you, explain how are you an Arab, you are just Arab wanna beâ€, in the middle of the program, OHG, Can I stop laughing. But will an Egyptian miss words never thought so, he said, “It was we who invented, brought to life and taught you the word Arab, will illiterate like you now anything, shall I teach you the distance of your country, how many square miles and what it used to be before, because you seem to be … â€, LOOOL , There are many questions to be asked about who is what? As I asked earlier in the beginning, I fail to understand what is this Arabism thing based on, is it based on language, or culture, or regional inhabitant, or colour , or race, or is it a nationality like British/American and if this is the case then do we have Black Negroes who are real Arabs? Who is considered to be an Arab from the following: The skinny Yemeni man like the Somali, who is chewing qaat in Aden with his AK47, or a Tunisian man who lives on the cliff of Africa bordering Spain. The so-called Janjawiid Negro in south Darfur, or the Kurdish man who was born, grew up in Bagdhad and settled there for centuries. The Barber man from Algeria, morocco and Tunisia or the more Christian asyrians from Iraq and Syria. The skinnies from the horn of Africa who don’t speak Arabic at all but have seat in the Arab league or the other horn residents Arabic speaking nation, Eriterians The fake royal families of Saudi Arabia/Jordan created not long ago by the western world, which claimed their forefathers to be from Quraish (the prophet’s tribe PPUH) or the Egyptians with their eternal believe of Arabism, born to be an Arab. If you have answers for this please share, I know many of you will disassociate with the Arabs because of their failure in today’s world, and many others will associate themselves because of their richness and will want to have a moment or 2 of pride, that’s not what I want. Just share you views about this with clear supporting proof and evidence, bring it on clarify and state who is who? and Hell with this Arab term is? Gday!
  13. I believe this is very intresting topic So do I!! Should we distinguish between unmarried and married teenage mothers? distinguish, why and what is the point????? Again, Unmarried and teenages mothers in one sentence  , Do u mean divorced teenager girls with kids? Or you mean those girls who got prignant in dodgy way with dodgy kids???? Like some of the replied Nomads Im lost, care to explain a bit more. By the way never mind, Im thick and can only read capital letters, peace. Gday!
  14. I must second raula on her thought, Simply Kenya has the highest somali population outside Somalia, only Nairobi and Mombasa live an incredible unacountable (Because of their illegal movement) number of skinnies let alone the many refugee camps that Somalis dwell in Kenya , which some(or many of you) spent sometime during the 90's.
  15. Duke, Did MP Zakariya got position for himself, the man who became famous for his voice on the BBC depate/fight with his "Makarafoonka yay igu dhufanee iga qabo horta nagtaa".... If not im very dissappointed, feel sorry for him.
  16. What do u think of this. List: Wasiirka Dib u heshiisinta Jaaliyadaha Dibada Sh Adan Sh Maxamed is this right? Are we fighting in the diaspora? They should rephrase this to " Wasiirka isku xirka jaaliyadaha dibada" or something else. We are simply disintegrated but not in a fight like back home.
  17. Smith The List: Wasiirka Howlaha guud iyo Guryeenta Cusmaan Xasan Cali Caato Ato is there, no idea about the other
  18. Honestly, Why are you guyz so obsessed with Pland Vs Sland and change every topic as bashing between the two. This is simply a case of 16 yr old young innocent girl accused of committing murder. She was tortured, rapped and prisoned. Every Somali person has talked about her case from North, South, West and East regardless of their tribal and regional difference. Is an absurd and evil act commited by men which will and should pay the price. It has nothing to do with politics, and I can't see any involvement of Putland in this case. OOh the girl is, if that is how naive you think ....OK Now this poem was composed by a Somali man from Mogadishu, Sheikh and famous for his religious poems. OH and if you want to his... Hint(his reer somehow a traditional foe to reer Puntland).. OK let me put it this way, He's from the same reer and subclan as Abdi Qasim (Former TNG president). Can you for once and all stop the bulshit of twisting topics from what their aimed for.. It a poem bringing into attention a case of a girl talked by every1 including: Amnesty International Raqiya Omar Somaliland Lawyers the BBC I heard Sland boqor(tradional leader)Burmadow took actions for the release of the girl, not sure about this. But what the man can do, When he himself got jailed not long ago. and Now Somali Poet from Magadishu, composing a whole long peom dedicating to her ordeal. Are all this people and organisations Puntlanders?????????? Stop the crap and just comment on what you think of the poem and the poor girl's trauma.
  19. First African Union troops expected in Somalia before end of January By ChinaPost.com Posted to the web 06-01-2005, 14:10:52 2005/1/6 ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia (AP) The first African Union peacekeepers are expected to arrive in Somalia before the end of January to help ensure the safe arrival of a new government currently based in neighboring Kenya, officials said Thursday. The first African Union peacekeepers to reach Somalia will be a contingent of 2,000 soldiers that Uganda has agreed to supply to the force, African Union spokesman Assane Ba said. The Horn of Africa nation has had no central government since 1991 and has been divided into clan-based fiefdoms. The AU's Peace and Security Council, representing Africa's 53 countries, voted on Wednesday to supply the troops to help in the latest effort to restore a central government to Somalia's capital, Mogadishu. "The transitional government wants to move into Mogadishu by the end of January," Ba said. "If they keep their schedule, tentatively they say by Jan. 21 they want to go to Mogadishu." The government, elected last year in Kenya following two years of peace talks, is currently based in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, because Somalia is considered too dangerous. "When they go in we will have the mission, or the first part of the mission, to protect them," Ba said. "Uganda says they can deploy as soon as possible to protect the government." Somalia's new president, Abdullahi Yusuf, asked the AU in October for 20,000 peacekeepers to help secure the country. The AU has not yet determined the total number of troops needed or the exact cost of the peacekeeping mission to Somalia, although the AU hopes it will only last a year. The peacekeepers would also help in the disarmament of 55,000 militiamen who are roaming the country and armed with more than 2 million small arms. Yusuf also wants the force to help train a 30,000-strong Somali army. He said he wants the army in place within a year as he begins reconstruction and reconciliation. 22. Good news sxb, China is becoming politically strong by the day! Yeah, it's not much but better than nothing. G-NooN
  23. Huu haa heeh reey as usual I don’t make sense at all. You know I'm starting to believe that we have very “advanced†and “highly educated†members; Thank god at least we have some. Nevertheless life is too boring if your IQ is exceptionally excellent and you hang around with the average persons on the street. Because you will no longer enjoy same stories, conversations nor will you able to share a joke with them, coz your jokes will not sound fanny to them and vice versa. The only option is to find someone (or a community unlike Somalis) with impressive “IQ†like yours to be the same level with them to have mutual values and standards of understandings. That’s exactly how the coffee smells in here right now, a great talent, but what a waste of talent, which isolates, puts you in a solitary, and differs you from the rest in every aspect. I simply wouldn’t accept it, kinda reminds me the album, Me against the world …………………are you???? GoodLuck I rest my case G-noon
  24. Che, mala iska fry garaynayaa dadka, Yeah sure fry him like fish ....LOL You are honest, ill-informed with good intentions, for that case I opt to rest my case. Cheers Gday!
  25. Can you just feel the highlight, how the poet nails with no fear and hesitation.
