  1. Sourcing a private blog for inspiration? Man the desperation stinks.
  2. Great great and a million times great! Bosaso will be the Mogadishu of yesterday, today! A capital for all Somalis and an entrepreneur and innovator's dream!
  3. Tarzan can only get my respect if he follows the example of duqa Garowe.
  4. Aw-Tarzaan Tuugo built a single fishing place and otherwise allowed the world's largest humanitarian situation to occur. Duqa Garowe has opened a new UN compound, new camps for IDPs despite local upheaval, a new butchery, paved roads (the second of its kind in Somalia next to Bosaso), a new university in the works, new health clinics in development, tons of new hotels creating jobs in the process, a new air field, hosting the Somali soccer tournament, the list is endless. You can't compare some thug eating public $$$ in Somalia's pearl to a young leader turning life around in big ways in a small town.
  5. I must say, its a strong tie between duqa Garowe & duqa Bosaso when it comes to the best leaders in Somalia today, both men are currently transforming their respective cities in massive ways. Here's a look at Garowe's latest developments.

With increased business stability, we hope we will get that investment. The Red Sea stops at the Djibouti-Eritrea border, even Djibouti city isn't on the Red Sea; all of Khatland's coast is on the Gulf of Aden along with Djibouti and Bosaso. Maybe the Khat region needs a better understanding of geography before addressing international matters.
  7. Duke, I've noticed that you are far too soft on anti-peace elements. Do you know why I selected the nickname TIMUR? Timur, also known as Tamerlane or Timur the Lame, was a Turko-Mongol warlord who defeated his enemies and made sure they became sterile during his reign. He burned Persia to the ground and pushed all former leadership into exile in Azerbaijan. He then trekked into the bothersome Ottoman lands and took Sultan Beyezid II hostage! I'm not proposing anything extreme but places like Hargeisa are home to a very treacherous and anti-Islamic population, it isn't wrong to attack their political leadership even by moral reasons.
  8. Terrorists should have no haven; not in Galgala and not in Northwestern Somalia - I think its high time that Puntland fumigate the infestation in Northwestern regions.
  9. My Puntland brethren, do not waste your time with people like Abwaan and Somalina whose brutish uncles and heroes notoriously tore the republic down to its bones. We know what we have in Puntland, we know what we've built and created for our people. Its not necessary to compare state-builders to state-looters.
  10. Like the others said, Saracen lost the equipment and will refund it immediately. But kudos to Khatland for scoring professional uniforms, I know they got tired of outfitting their militia with UN donated uniforms from abandoned peacekeeping missions.
  11. Nobody asked for a secessionist's thoughts on construction works or tourism infrastructure in Somalia, ironically pro-Somalia people care even less about Waqoyi which they still consider a part of Somalia. You do a very bad job of removing yourself from the apparatus of Somalia and its people and affairs.
  12. It is pertinent that Bosaso assert its role as Somalia's second capital, and development is the road to that end. I commend all the works of the entire leadership of Bari region. This is the future of Somalia. I look forward to more works.
  13. Ayoub - fiber optics in Somaliland will likely not affect the burgeoning drug trade there so I don't think pirates in Puntland will benefit much from it either.
  14. All that is left now is for them to claim that Xaglatoosiye was part of the 1988 conspiracy. Afterward they will say that 15 year old Al-Shabaab boys took part in the 1988 conspiracy.
  15. Why are khat people concerned with Somalia? If you are independent country then do as the Djiboutians or Eritreans do and don't pay attention to Somali politics.
  16. Terrible article. He's on the right path the entire time, but in the end it turns out he's the same old well-wishing technocrat from Virginia like Farmaajo. The people we should be listening to on Somalia's future do not write books, they are people of action on the ground. The only example I know right now of good governance and righteous example is the leader of Ximan & Xeeb. The author of this article and the book, is just another caffe-sipping smug politico with no clue how to run a village.
  17. Thirteen guns? That's it? lol. That's a non-issue. From the cries of "1988 all over again" coming from Somaliland mouthpieces I thought SA authorities stumbled upon ICBM rockets. This is a joke.
