  1. Ten Things We Waste (based on a lesson of Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah) 1. --Our Knowledge-- Wasted by not taking action with it. 2. --Our Actions-- Wasted by committing them with out sincerity. 3. --Our Wealth-- Wasted by using on things that will not bring us ajr. We waste our money, our status, our authority, on things which have no benefit in this life or in akhirah. 4. --Our Hearts-- Wasted because they are empty from the love of Allah, and the feeling of longing to go to Him, and a feeling of peace and contentment. In it's place, our hearts are filled with something or someone else. 5. --Our Bodies-- Wasted because we don't use them in ibadah and service of Allah 6. --Our Love-- Our emotional love is misdirected, not towards Allah, but towards something/someone else. 7. --Our Time-- Wasted, not used properly, to compensate for that which has passed, by doing what is righteous to make up for past deeds 8. --Our Intellect-- Wasted on things that are not beneficial, that are detremental to society and the individual, not in contemplation or reflection. 9. --Our Service-- Wasted in service of someone who will not bring us closer to Allah, or benefit in dunyaa 10. --Our Dhikr-- Wasted, because it does not effect us or our hearts.

Originally posted by Ameenah: I am not making excuses, but hijab is quite hard to start and keep up in this society, but I guess you'd get more ajer for it. Ameenah it isn't hard to start and sure not hard to keep up with this society.. everything can be easy if u make it easy.. my parents were not the type who are like put ur Hijab on because we said so. instead they watched to see what we will do.. my older sis used to put lil scarf and have her long hair hang out from the back.. but she fully cover herself up now. and believe me i know alot of ppl who think they can't act or be themselve if they wear Hijab. and that ain't true.. rayaana true to dat sweety.. and i don't think any ladies here gonna eat u alive after reading your comment. instead alot of us are thankful u are being honest. and stay dat way too..

  13. Kaafi great idea bro... hey guys it realy doesn't have to be for them high school kids going to college/uni it can be ideas to help us too.. okay here is couple of things i wish if anyone told me ahead of time . Make schedule for urself a schedule that is between ur classes, work.. and highlight hours u are free and make sure u review materials before or after any class u havin hard time with. Find place where u know u can study my place is my car believe it or not. in library i have too many home girls they always doing nothing and lets just say i end up with them. so i put my Cell phone on silent and stay in my car with some arabic music and im set to study, do work. and whatever else.. so make sure u know there is place that is best for u to study. find the best way for u to study.. personaly i like studyin alone if it is math or just readin, but for some of my PSY classes i like havin study ground and share ideas. so u gotta know if studyin alone or havin study group is best for ya. don't fall behind.. try ur best to stay with the class syllabus.. do homework, study ahead of time if u fall back one thing i learn don't stick to the old materials coz u gonna end up missin the new ones too. so move on. and try to review the old ones ur free time if u havd any. ask any Q u may have don't be thinkin it is like high school kids will laugh at me if i ask stupied Q. coz there are atleast 5 other ppl in that room who have that same Q so ask... See ur teacher after class.. i know some teachers will be more than happy to answer ur q. and help in any way he/she can. so use dat. plus they can see u are hard and dedcated student who is willin to get help in anyway possible. and when the gradin comes that might help ya.. Whatever u do don't miss any class.. unless it is for good reason, make sure ur lovely behind is in class. coz sometimes u miss one class meetin and it feels u missed a whole year of work.. and if u are missin class it is always good to let ur professors know about it ahead of time. so they won't be usin it against u later on.. and for the sista that was askin takin year off. i would say don't... unless u really need that year off. u can accomplish alot in one year u are in school believe me. that is all i have for now. but i sure will add more. and can't wait to read other nomads ideas. peace n 1 luv

  15. April 21st ~ April 30th = White *WHITE* You dream and have goals in your life. You get jealous easily and you don't react to things easily. You are different and sometimes weird, but everyone loves that in you. 80% true.. kool..

We can survive in the men's world but they can't survive in ours...thats just a fact. I don't think that a women who goes out and gets a career is better than a women who stays at home...its just a matter of personal choice. Raising those kids could be the most imortant thing you will ever do in your life...thats just something we need to keep in mind. These western countries are built so that you have to choose between a career and a family? Why should I have to choose? Why can't I have both and succeed at both of them? We all need to realize that marriege is a partnership...you make decisions based on what is good for the family unit not the individual. flyin still i hear ya. and couldn't said it better.
  17. Conspiracy said it.. just ask the dude.. and if u know him well i guess u just have to believe what he says.. but why would i wanna know anyway? unless i was marryin him maybe then we would have lil game called bring out all ur dirty secrets haahaha. other den dat virgin or not good for him... masallama
  18. Conspiracy i just think ur friend didn't do all the research that he should have done.. next time tell him to do lil research before he gets involved with another Halimo.. but hey he wasn't played and big deal things happen god knows why. but im sure for good reason... i feel sorry for the one marryin her thou.. atleast ur friend knows what she is all about. but poor guy thinks he got himself good wifey.. how sad.
  19. aye clown u sure got lots of things to find out lol.. good luck.. but some of ur q are easy to answer. so let me know if u wanna any answer unless u just wanna be girl and find out on ur own (which ain't gonna happen lol) and if i was a guy for one day?? hmmm no i don't think i would look cute being a guy so i'll pass..
  20. Athena i wasn't talkin about our moms going to work back home. coz my mom was house wife and was runnin her business too. but my problem was ladies who got no one to take care of their kids yet they wanna socialize and have time to themselves, and that workin crap, if she don't got kids well she can work her @$$ off 24/7 if she wants i couldn't careless. but ones there is kids in the story u tell me who should be watchin after the kids?? if the husband is workin long hours and she is doing the same thing? and that is where my comment about not havin kids came from, she wanna do all those then sure just don't bring kids in to this crazy world and yet not have time for them.. sorry if i sound i was generalizing but that was not my intentions.. coz i was talkin about the ones i see here my town.. and believe it or not i see kids at the age of 8 or even order not knowin anything about her religion(while my 3 yrs sis prays with my mom just about every prayer) and if u ask kid what song is new they'll sing for ya word for word. and when u ask them how come. the answer is our parents aren't around so we come home and watch tv till we sleep or hang out some kids who god knows what they are.. i don't know about yo'll but last time i checked that wasn't raisin kids. is more like just pop them out to this world and they'll raise themselves.. Athena u sure have something interesting to say huh hahaha it is all good.. and no i don't think i pleased him or any body else sweety.. Ameenah it is good if u have family to help out. but me personaly i told my mom i wouldn't have her baby sit my kids unless i was really sick or had to be somewhere important other then dat i like to have my kids with me 24/7... but that is just me..
  21. Athena well read this and tell me who am i pleasin.. peace out.. From the rights the husband possesses over his wife is that she fulfills the duty of tending to his household and not coming out from it except with his permission. The Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said: “The woman is the caretaker of her husband’s household and she will be questioned as to her responsibility.” [Reported by Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim] Another right he possesses over her is that she fulfills the duties of the household and that she does not make him hire a female servant, which will cause harm and due to which there will be a risk of danger for himself and his children.
  22. Jazakallah Khayr Rahimah.. and it sure is good thought to start the day.. i'll print this and have it with me so i can remind myself. so thanks sis.. masallama..
