  1. Thumbs up. So much money has been donated, but in whose hands is it, what will happen to it and will enough of it reach the starving people inside Somalia?
  2. Awesome. Turkey waa wadan jira.
  3. So, what's going on with this supposed trip to China? As I hear it, the prez nor his entourage had visas and he's been in Ethiopia all this time? Surely, if someone is flying somewhere, those details should be taken care off before la sii sogootiyo at the airport? How embarrassing. Caku iyo Somali leaders who can't organise a piss-up in a brewery.
  4. Most people fear creepy crawlies, I think. I don't know what to say about those terrified of Lions. Eh? Such graceful creatures. Sure they will eat you, but it's a good death. If you do ever come across them that is. What's the likelihood? Leeches creep me out aniga. What disgusting things. They suck your blood! In movies, every time someone emerges from a swamp or lake completely covered in leeches, I break out in a sweat. Just the thought makes me feel queasy.
  5. Tastes delicious! Don't be distracted by the cake-part, it's a savoury dish. Basically you mix any type of cooked fish you like (flaky fish, I like Salmon or even tuna) with mashed potatoes, an egg, and spices and salt, then you shape them into round patties (as many as you like) and dust them with flour, then you fry them until golden brown and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Voila.

LooL! Bariis wax la isku ceebeeyo maaha ee halkaa iga dhig.
  7. Greek salads are yum yum. Same ol' suxuur. I'm thinking of making fish-cakes and sauteed vegs for afur. And chips. Am craving chips like nothing else.
  8. Huge, indeed. First time I saw them, waan argagaxay. They are so life-like weli, if you get really close to the bottle it looks like they are undulating.
  9. LoL @ Juxa! You, my dear, are far too young to bother with nipping or tucking or smoothing for that matter. Showqi, I didn't even notice the colour-change!

  11. Goodness, NG, you're so embarrassing mar mar! I bet your little boy was livid with you. A.Khadar, I have no idea if it's fact or myth. I wonder though would they bother drinking wine with a withered snake in it, if there wasn't something to it? JB - you are just crazy adigu. Apologies to Hafsa and NG, and I promise to remove the image before my 12hrs are up, but for everyone else - here are some giant bottles of snake wine! Ha ha. [EDIT] Gone as promised.
  12. I was terrified of snakes too, but not so much these days. Not since I saw lots of them in Asia. Would you like me to put up some pictures, mise caawa ma seexanaysid if I do? Funny fact: The Vietnamese drink snake wine. Snake-fermented wine. This is wine with a dead snake swimming in the middle. They believe it increases the libido exponentially. Odaygii caba snake wine, habeenkaa waa loo baqaa islaantiisa.
  13. I like the camel-herders in the banner...and also its smaller size. SOL without geel is not SOL at all.
  14. Complicated, ah....reer Streatham ayaad tahay! She does love her maryooley, my sis, but unfortunately she can't choose where to go...meeshii loo diro waa iney aadaa. At least things seem calmer tonight, Alhamdulilaah. Really feel sorry for the police.

  16. 6 people voted YES YES, so far. Let's see, waa JB maybe, Saalax definitely and XX iyo seddexdiisii shaati.
  17. *Splutters into her tea* Ehem.....urm....I guess welcome back, Abtigiis.
  18. Juxa, tuna kebab sounds good. Isa soo dhaafi the recipe. FB, sir baa fakatay miyaa? I should have known!
