What has happened in these Nordic countries is the continued migration of fresh Somalis, which keeps messing with the statistics of the more established Somali communities (many of whom leave for the UK/America), because the refugees need time to settle in. However Finnish government records show a similar continued improvement in the employment rate, in fact Somalis along with the Vietnamese have made the largest gain in the workforce of all the immigrant groups from the 2000 to 2003 period, and in 2008 the figure had fallen to 43.3%. (today it might be in the low 30s) - Somalis’ employment situation improving steadily -- read here Therefore, don't for a second pay mind to these supremacists, in most cases they only join these little clubs to socialise with eachother and ingratiate themselves at the expense of immigrants, the easy scapegoats. Somalis are paying their taxes, they are teachers, police-officers, soldiers, nurses and other important members of society, they don't have to feel grateful to anyone, least of all to some racist character they have never heard off. I agree though that a peaceful Somalia will go a long way in making the diaspora feel less tense and alienated, because they will have the real option to return home if they feel like it, and western governments would no longer watch these communities with as much scrutiny. Right now what I have noticed is that non-Somali people have a strange inner notion that they can cast judgement on our people because of the situation back home, but the moment there is countrywide peace, and Somalis have a strong government supporting them through embassies, and Somalia's international presence as a oil-giant and booming economy develops, alot of these characters will disappear, or they will focus on the easy target of the day, another immigrant group.
