  1. Originally posted by N.O.R.F: Is this conflict similar to the one between SL and some SSC? No this is not a political issue, it's between Al Shabaab who have been trying to get a foothold in the mountains. They have used this man to do so. While SSC is fighting over a large area. This man is holed up in a single village where he was raised.
  2. The news is reporting that he was shot by PIS in the battle along with some of his fighters. Then was arrested and died of his injuries under captivity in Bossaso.
  3. Yet some are claiming this is a local clan issue. It matters not for this enemy always kills thos who support him most.
  4. Nassir are you now saying that we must wait? Lol there is no resource competition other the one you made up. Just like in the south the man is using the clan to get noticed from his handles. The fact that most of them speak in paltalk including Shangole and others speaks to the this matter. Like Thankful said it seems it's ahrd fir any of you to critics the clan kinsmen in public? The man said he was Al Shabaab even the new title created for him by others "Waalaya of Galgala "is term used by Al Shabaab district officials in the south.
  5. cowke: well done injecting the right ammount of confusion in every post you make. No one cares for it Adeer. Also keep the post at the top of the forum.
  6. I am not sure there is anything sinister about crushing an enemy that wants to kill you by any means necessary. The fact that Al Shabab are using the local clan the same way they used local clans as a shield is obvious. Your arguments again are baseless, there is no economic, or even a political dispute, other than the one you are trying to create. The topic was just to highlight the absurd use of language such as “indigenous” to divide what is a single family in order to message ones ego. The more this is turned into a clan issue, the more amusing it becomes, for come a few years you will be again claiming to be a Puntlander and waiting for another opportunity to make noise. As for the previous mid-term syndrome , one should never oppose anything that's peaceful and based on arguments. However is it not fair to say that the same people who were pushing that argument forgot about it when the elections came? Indeed we shall see , but history is something we can observe today. Also Nassir how are you so sure the marxum was liquidated in jail and did not die from his injuries? Also what purpose would it serve for the admin who announced his capture to then kill him? Again less emotional outbursts and more honesty would do.
  7. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Now we are in the middle of another term and alas we have a new burst of Aboriginal, indigenous rights of people from certain regions flaring all over the place...
  8. The aim of this post is simply to remind ourselves of what we have been through this past decade. Since the inception of Puntland, much has changed in Somalia and within the state itself. Political intrigues, inter clan skirmishes and outright rebellions within and constant danger from without have been the order of the day. It is important to note that Puntland came through a voluntary process, no clan elder was held hostage and no clan was forced to sign on to the creation of the state. The miracle that took place in terms of development was mostly achieved by the hard working population with the government playing a minimal role at best, that of a referee with the aim of trying to keep the peace. Initially it was not clear if this new State and the ideas behind it would work or if its champions could even manage to convince the masses at home and those in the Diaspora to support it. Alhamdulillah today a week from its 12th anniversary Puntland as an idea has gone down quite well. The people of the state genuinely believe in its existence and those in the Diaspora have as of late fallen deeply in love with all things Puntland. In every corner of the world we have a Puntland Diaspora Forum (PDF) chapter, though I am critic of this particular organizations usefulness, I am unable to ignore the fact of its existence and the important role it can play in the future. While its human nature to blame others for ones shortcomings, its absurd to think that some groups within the state always repeat the same mistakes and think that no one takes notice. They are the first ones to run around widely and claim that they are "no longer Puntlanders” when an uncle of theirs losses an election or when a new name to counter Puntland emerges from within their midst’ . They are also quick to return home back to the fold, all smiles when they realize it was all a false dawn. How many times in single week can an individual witness a false dawn? It’s weird when one notices the latest rehashed talking points. Have you heard the latest one about the Aborigines of a certain well known area are unable to exploit their vast diamond reserves and thus have been forced to turn to the fascists skin heads from abroad for support? It gets worse; some are even claiming that years of exploitation and under representations have made it possible for this deep seated resentment to take root, for people to lose thir minds and for an Aborigine to seek the help of a Pakistani. One can smell the bullshit from a mile away, an interview with a common person becomes, “Mr John a man from the people who reside mostly in Western Wales, Southern England and Central Mid-Western France”. This somehow gives them the hope that the "their land" will not be colonized by “others” anytime soon, that by repeating in every paragraph of every press release the name of the regions after an individuals name, this uttering itself will keep the land intact and safe from exploitation and reserved for the aborigines of” Western Wales, Southern England and Central-Mid Western France”. It’s all amusing and not really a big deal until you notice that this nonsense always occurs bang in the middle of an administrations term. This is where it becomes more than sinister, for why not at the beginning or at the end of each term? What does this mean? This is an important question and one which I have puzzled over for a long time, until my uncle Farah cleared it up for me. His thinking was that at the beginning of each term, the groups with the loudest mouth are too busy kissing the new President’s behind, each of them wanting to get the maximum number of cabinet posts to worry too much about their “indigenous” rights. Then at the end of each term, they start to believe it’s surely their turn this time to lead the state, and thus forget about regional Central-Midwestern slogans or that clan entity they created only a few month ago. They get a new lease of Puntland love and rush to become the next President, until it all crashes down on them again. My uncle Farah, believes that he is a realist and claims he is not bothered by who wins the Presidency in the future they will never be remotely as good as Yusuf Yey. Moving on, Somalia seems to not be changing for the better any time soon. The SNM have won the gubernatorial elections of NW Somalia at last and Djibouti sent a somewhat unimportant fellow to attend the coronation of the man from Burco .I must admit though I have been impressed by the old man’s Adam Sandler goatee. In the south we have Al Shabaab, which means “youth” in Arabic, yet in reality it’s no more than a deviant sect full of Horney old men who are ready to detonate every little brainwashed child in their midst as a smart bomb in order to bring the Caliphate back to Bar Ubax. Alas Al Shabaab, they were once fashionable; the only thing is what say you of the man who has joined them yesterday in order to help further the cause of the aboriginal people of Western Wales, Eastern England and Mid-Central France?
  9. It was a mere skirmish and exagerated news is not necessary. Inshallah it will be finished soon.
  10. ^^^ thanks for the contribution thus far, you are as always usefull.
  11. Any man who thinks that by siding with Al Shabaab he will get some benefits for his community is more than fool.
  12. African Union adds 4,000 troops to Somalia peace force 27 Jul 27, 2010 - 11:18:43 AM KAMPALA, July 27 (Reuters) - The African Union (AU) will add 4,000 troops to its peace force in Somalia and is considering whether to let them battle Islamists who were behind suicide attacks in Uganda that killed 76 people. AU officials at the group's summit on Tuesday said a cap of 8,100 on troop levels for the force, known as AMISOM, had been lifted and they were mulling whether to give it powers to combat militants, despite misgivings of some AU members. Leaders at the meeting, convened in Kampala close to where the suicide bombers struck, sanctioned reinforcements for the currently deployed 6,200 AU peacekeepers who are barely managing to keep Somalia's besieged government in office. "We are committed to deliver an additional four thousand troops ... From Guinea, we will have one battalion, from IGAD we will have 2,000 troops and Djibouti will send troops immediately," said AU commission chairman Jean Ping. IGAD is a bloc of East African nations. "There was a request to move the ceiling of (8,100 troops) up and many other countries are now ready to send troops. Changing the mandate (to allow AMISOM to attack al Shabaab) is still under consideration," Ping said at the summit's close. Summit diplomats earlier told Reuters the meeting of more than 30 African heads of state might ask the United Nations, which oversees AU peacekeeping missions, to allow AMISOM to chase down al Shabaab Islamists after the Uganda attacks. Troops from Uganda and Burundi make up AMISOM. Al Shabaab blamed what it called AMISOM attacks on civilians for its suicide bomb attacks on two Kampala bars packed with hundreds of people watching the World Cup final on July 11
  13. SOMALIA: Puntland islamist leader pledges allegiance with al-Shebab July 27, 20100 Sheikh Mohamed Said Atom an Islamist leader based in the remote mountains village of Galgala (North east of Somalia) pledged his allegiance with al-Shebab after his militia clashed with Puntland forces, on Monday. Mohamed Said Atom, is one of a handful of men singled out by the UN Security Council as violating an arms embargo on Somalia, has established bases in Galgala village in the mountains region of Sanaag, Puntland State of Somalia. In a teleconference on Paltalk Mohamed Atom told several of his supporters that he was part of al-Shebab movement, when asked if he has any links with the group. “…We are Al-shebab, and Al-Shebab are us, we are joined in the same struggle to fight for the establishment of an Islamic state in Somalia…” said Mohamed Said Atom. The Al Qaeda-linked al- Shebab insurgent group has been mainly active in southern and central Somalia in recent years, focusing its military efforts on trying to topple the western-backed government in Mogadishu. Yesterday, more than 6 Puntland soldiers and at least 11 of Atom’s men were killed in heavy fighting near the village of Karin, 40km south of Bosaso city, the commercial capital of Puntland State. The fighting began after a group of heavily armed militia launched a brazen pre-dawn attack on a checkpoint controled by the Puntland security forces. At least 4 wounded militia were captured, one of them was Jama Ismail Duale a well known islamist suspected of carrying out previous attacks in Puntland. According to hospital officials, Jama died for his wounds, later on Tuesday. “…Jama is one of the men who are on the international terrorist list….”said Abdirahman Farole, the President of Puntland. Farole called the latest attack a serious security threat not only to Puntland but to the whole wider region, he called for neighboring countries to help their fight against the insurgents. Puntland security forces are currently surrounding the mountains village of Galgala were Shiekh Atom is based. Somalia’s Al-Qaeda-linked al-Shebab movement claimed responsibility for twin suicide bombings in Kampala that ripped through crowds watching the football World Cup final on July 11, killing 76 people. 14. ^^^Any security issue to do with Puntland deserves more than my attention. You love fake wadaads, I love my state and people. Also we are not facing anything new, Xasan dahir, Atam, Maadeey a terrorist/ fake Jihadi by any other name is still the same..
  15. Originally posted by Maaddeey: Duke, waa maxay clan-ka aad sheegeysid, markii 'Allahu Akbar'ta iyo Eedaanka aad maqashaan baad 'war ba'aa' ku waalaneysaane. Adeer I thought you was smarter than those who think they have a monopoly on "Allahu Akbar" and the faith. Silly boy, one has lived long enough to see the hype. I remember Abu Mansuur Robow your Mujahid, and this is on Youtube talking to a British journalist, parading his sons and claiming he wanted them to become martyrs in the battlefield. This was a few weeks before they attacked Baidoa. Then when the tanks came, he ran with his family to Jeddah so he and IndaCade could perform the Hajj. Now brave one, what can we say about you?
  16. ^^^lol. Like my brother told you, the fake clan delusions of 1992 are not even on the same scale as today. The state now has more power, and we face a deluded man who speaks with two faces. As for my prediction, Puntland will be standing while you change your name and shave your beard at the demise of Al Shabaab..
  17. ^^^lool. You have been making these same threats for ever, its getting boring ya fake Jihadi. We know how to bring fake wadaads from them mountains, so dont worry.

  20. ^^^What’s worse is that they arrive according to Maadey with the rains and we had some rain this year without a drop of Al Shabaab anywhere in sunny Mudug.. An open battle with Puntland forces and they get crushed, its not like hiding in the dark assassinating unarmed civilians is it now?
  21. ^^^Soldiers are meant to die, we lost some brave souls and Puntland soldiers specially the PIS just crushed your day dreams.. Keep it coming lad, you wont defeat us with just fake religious sermons.
  22. Al Shabaab use the paltalk media, and he is no different. Anywho, this man only spoke after the set back of yesterday. Before then he was confident and all.
