  2. Dawlada Ingiriiska Oo ka hadashay Mustaqbalka wada hadalada Somaliland & Soomaaliya April 25th, 2013 Washington (Somaliland)- Dawladda Ingiriiska ayaa sheegtay in wada hadalada u dhaxeeya Somaliland iyo Soomaaliya ay yihiin qaar ku xidhan oo ay go’aankooda leeyihiin labada geesood. Mark Simmonds, Xoghayaha Arrimaha Afrika u qaabilsan dawlada Britain, oo shalay kaga hadlayey xarunta Strategic studies and International Studies ee Maraykanka ujeedooyinka shirka ay bisha May ee fooda inagu soo haysa ay ugu qabanayaan Soomaalida magaalada London ayaa sheegay in mowqifka UK ee Somaliland cad yahay, isla markaana fahamsan yihiin hadafka Somaliland u socoto, mar wax laga weydiiyey Somaliland. Mr, Simmonds, oo ka jawaabayey su’aal laga weydiiyey kulankii shalay oo ku saabsanaa Somaliland ayaa yidhi, “Mowqifka Ingiriiska ee Somaliland wuu cad yahay. Waan fahamsan nahay hadafka Somaliland u socoto. Laakiin, sidaan qabno, wada xaajoodka Somaliland iyo Soomaliya u dhexeeya waa arrin muhiim ah, ma filayo inuu sahlanaan doono, balse, aakhirka labada dhinac ayaa looga baahan yahay inay wada gaadhaan xal ay ku qancaan.
  3. Where do people get the idea any one wants war heaven forbid , war is the last thing any one should wish for in any part of Somalia or in any part of Somaliland. What people are here discussing is merely what people, politicians can expect politically from the government in Mogadishu regarding the Kismayo conference . And how the process is going surely we know the government in Somalia is opposed tot he conference they made it bold and clear. I have not seen any one Mintid or carafaat or oodweyne calling for war, why are people so sensitive when these topics are discussed and how come pirates are more concerned with the Jubbaland project than the Jubbalanders themselves where is dabrow and macaliinka and Gabbal Yunis what is their opinion on the arrival of Col hiiraale.

I don't want you to get locked up so I say no you did not support their extreme ideology in the south in case the authorities are monitoring here. How so my stance always was the same the SFG and TFG should have talked to shabaab and bring them back and hassan did the same the extreme alshabaab elements will be destroyed particularly foreigners the Somalis , are always welcome to join the government and to support peace and they should denounce violence. many of them joined the government, calling some one amiir doesn't mean u support him its just a title. This was my stance 2 years ago http://www.somaliaonline.com/community/showthread.php/58502-Alshabaab-wa-shayaadin
  5. What we do know is that barre hiiraale is one of the main representatives of the gedo community the same way governor kalil is and the Prime Minister is. The SFG knows about hiiraales involvement he arrived in Kismayo with many militia from his community. This is a very interesting development, i will not be surprised if he claims authority over Kismayo soon.
  6. Oodweyne if you declare oodweyne state and start fundraising you can easily raise a million dollars , even our xaglatooisye got a few mansions in abu dhabi during the ssc qiiro fund raising for the cause , dibu xoreynta.
  7. Horta qoladi awdalstate eeh kanada xafladaha ku dhigi jiray halkay ku danbeyeen beryaha iyagu durbaanki sita maan arkin eh , ma caydhi ba la gooyey tallow.
  8. Jacpher I have never supported Axmed godane causing trouble in Southern central Somalia. calling him amiir means just the title he carries for the entity he represent. Its not a praise, i have even called him out during the drought when he stopped the Aid agencies in the region.. But why are we talking about Somalilanders they have no stake in Kismayo they do not wish to rule that place. They are just taking part of the discussion why are people so sensitive. I dont see Somalilanders saying or restricting Koonfurians of commenting or discussing Somaliland affairs. People might not share a nationality or a country. But still the Somali cultural bond is still strong that is what remains of the Somali unity lets maintain that and cherish it for what it is just an advise bois and girls. Thats why we have Somali Kenyans commenting on Somalia affairs but i dont see any one finding that a problem.
  9. It is true that all diplomatic channels between Somaliand and London go through Addis ababa and not Mogadishu this is a fact not an opinion nevertheless well done Fawiyza and Hassan sheikh Maxamuud this is a good step forward , Europeans are back in Mogadishu.
  10. It is probably the bay and bakool MPS the HAG and MPS need to fully embrace this to if they want this to work
  11. This is interesting development there in Kismayo Barre hiiraale was inactive for years but he seems to be back, i wonder what will happen next for the other camp.
  12. That Somaliland will be recognized i am sure of that there is no major obstacle really , the western world has no motives to keep the former Somali republic united at all cost. Somaliland is not dealing with a super power Eritrea had a harder job breaking away from Ethiopia land locking 90 million people. Remember Ethiopia is much stronger than Somalia. And Somalia is not china. the only difference between Somaliland case and the other independent recent broke away nations like south sudan and Eritrea. Is Because the other countries the countries they broke away from were intact Somalia is a different case. Somalia it self is not even fully independent on the ground AU troops maintain the security of Somalia.
  13. Its going to be interesting we will soon know uhurrus policy on kismayo. I have a feeling he doesnt want to stay to long in somalia The kdf will not attack alshabaab in middle juba or other districts in lower jubba. They are fine with how things are going
  14. Oodweyne you are right i honestly believe that prof samatar is a genuine unionist with a real spirit of somalinimo, he is not like the snakes He knows he is alone in xamar tol la aan tolkis are in hargeisa. I also believe he will be a true somaliland supporter in time. When he faces the realities on the ground when he visits sl. And he sees whats going on.
  15. Caynabo is shared this is new to me? caynabo hadhuub kama dartaan hogol kaliileede Xiinfaniin was reduced to discuss villages in eastern Somaliland , a change of tone i have to say. We were discussing few months ago how SL will be brought back to Mogadishu by hook or by crook. The fact is that the vast majority of SOOL is under Somaliland Sool is 4 districts caynabo laascanood and xudun and taleex. Xudun is surrounded by SL defense forces only taleex is out of SL control. And it used to have militia allied to SL before stationed there. The Pirates have no say in the entire Sool region.
  16. ^^ I doubt that but you can believe that though since you have no clue about the inner politics of Somaliland . I will ask you a question what took them so long 22 years and counting. The SNM did not just took up arms one day after they woke up and said lets get rid of general afweyne. They were driven to this point economically politically and they were serious and they had a home grown organization, they didn't waste time with useless parties in the west and belly dancing with blue bra flags. They set up a constitution a central committee and a political wing and six months later a military wing and 2 years later they shook the entire foundation of the kacaan regime by carrying out attacks with in the main cities , rescuing prisoners, prison break operations the battles for the mountains. Hijacking ships and airplanes, and eventually launched an all out attack on the kacaan government of Somalia. And this all happened between 1982 and 1988. Do you see those internet warriors doing that and party crashers i seriously doubt that.
  17. Awdal is a cyber state based in Toronto canada its led by a man who lives in Canada called rashiid .There is no such thing as Maakhir it ceased to exist in 2007 jibriel cali salaad the founder of that so called maakhir state lives in hargeisa. And Khatumo is based in taleex in one district of of the far eastern part of sool. I can tell you they will eventually join SL the same way ssc rebel movement did. The thing is Somaliland does not need the support of Xamar , it just need xamar to participate in these talks, no need for support its not like they can add something of value to Somaliland.
  18. A khadar i used to be biggest Somaliweyn supporter but that was decades ago , waxan ogaaday in aan anugu aha muwaadinka ugu wanaagsan , but the Koonfurians are not after wadanimo iyo dal jecel. Waxan ogahay in aanay dacaad u ahayn, calankay lulayaan in anay u dacaad ahayn baan ogahay. The one in the video iyaguna waxad mooda inu cudurki koonfuriansku ku dhacay oo waxaan dareemey inay mar walba raban inay docdoceyaan beelaha dhexe eh SL. Oo anay ka dacaad ahayn Mogadishu baanu jecelnahay A khadar oday weyn baan ahay dadka waan ogahay waxay u socdaan iyo meeshay ka socdaan. The hope for the Somali race in the horn is if they in the future the next decades if they forge closer economic and trade integration similar like the EU Djibouti Somalia and Somaliland and if Somali galbeed and NFD secede from Ethiopia and Kenya join the league of Somali nations.

And the reason is largely to do with fundamental difference of what each party wants for Somalia. For Hassan Sheikh to keep the old Italian Somalia in one centralised version (even if you give a bit of a Federal gloss to it) is non-negotiable as an ideology. While any one from that side of Somalia call Puntland, the idea of federalism (both in practice of day-to-day reality, and in over-arching sense) is also non-negotiable from their point of view. Hence any PM who comes from that side will immediately clash with the president and the government will become, dysfunctional, in no time after that. Hence why I don't see Haasan Sheikh appointing his PM anyone with the sort of ideology Pundlanders can be naturally expected to carry forward in the halls of Somali politics. You are right Hassan sheikh Maxamuud wants to establish an entity from galkacyo to the Kenyan border, thats why he didn't organize his community to form federal states. But the Pirates will try to go for the PM and try to create a friction between the Pm and President. The same way they did with sh sharif and faarmaajo. Even though hassan sheikh would go for a decentralized state structure but still highly strong when it comes how the regions are administrated from the capital. The only problem for the pirates now is that the SFG has more legitimacy than the former federal transitional governments. So they will have a more difficult task than before but they still would go for it.

Homunculus Ali Khalif Needs to do better job lobbying for Khatuum state , get in line with xamar community you will find out that community supports Somalinimo , somalia sovereignty and unity. Instead of being tool Its not about what Hassan culusow supports or not its that SL talked to Somalia and that the world was the witness but the talks failed if they don't agree. Here is where you are wrong, you have your cards which is you want to reinstate the failed union. But Somaliland doesn't want anything to do with Somalia when it comes to a Union. When they meet again in turkey in a few months and the talks fail the same international community will step up the game and join the negotiation table as mediators and than the process can take longer. But if they agree the 2 states and forge new relations Sultan faisal is just stating that he wants to see a strong Somalia next door to the Somaliland republic he has no motives in Somalia nor stake in Somalia.
  21. Somalia what do you think should their punishment be , i think they should carry bricks and help construct some parts of Bosaaso.
  22. Homunculus;942687 wrote: I really don't hold Somali politicians to high regard, and I still think that there will be a domino effect in Somalia since tribalism is still king there (and abroad too). Why stop at a two countries, don't you think that other entities would prefer to rule themselves instead of being ruled from Mogadishu. All of this is a big if, but the behaviour of the government is not reassuring. if they wanted that they would have declared long time ago independence , the other states in Somalia just want some self rule, not secession i doubt others are deeply interested in that. The Puntlanders for instance are highly ambitious and i am sure they are aiming to take the seat or the PM in 3 years time.

And since he is effectively a "supplicant" in Xamar for others support and consideration, one couldn't understand what made him think that he can bite the hands that may support him if hew plays his card astutely.. As I said, it really shows you no amount of education can make one a politically wise, especially if you are leader of your people.. But still it's good for us in Somaliland that the likes of Ali Khalif are the only folks we have to worry about.. :D Oodweyne some times i have the feeling Dr Galaydh is not serious in his political objectives when it comes to the Khatumo project. Because one would not make such a blunder by blindly supporting the Jubbaland conference. When you know that your tiny fiefdom is in a critical predicament. When we know Somaliand is gaining more momentum by the day, and he wants to have a voice when the 2 sides are talking perhaps that the president of Somalia takes in consideration and takes his insertions serious when talking to Somaliland. But its seems he bet on the wrong horse,i didn't expect this from a man of his caliber.. Hada wa halki Somalida ignore ba la saaray Galaydh.
