A new dawn for Maakhir after SSC, Awdal emergence.
Xaaji Xunjuf replied to Arafaat's topic in Politics
Fighting erupts in Badhan as Puntland and Maakhir forces clash over territory Monday October 14, 2024 A group of people gathers outside Rahma (Raxma) Hospital in Badhan, Sanaag region. SUBMITTED Garowe (HOL) — A brief clash broke out this morning between Puntland forces and troops from Maakhir State in Badhan, Sanaag region, intensifying a standoff that has been in place since Sunday. Both sides remain entrenched in their positions just outside the district, with no reports of major casualties. The confrontation occurred when Puntland forces attempted to block Maakhir State politicians, who had been touring the Sanaag region, from entering Badhan. The visit follows growing friction between the two administrations as Maakhir State seeks to assert its presence in the area. Although the clash did not result in immediate casualties, the continued military buildup on both sides points to a potentially dangerous escalation. The situation remains fluid, with local sources expressing concerns about a larger conflict if the standoff continues unresolved. Abdirahman Dhoore, the leader of Maakhir State and a former Puntland MP, has remained defiant, stating that they will not be prevented from accessing any part of the Sanaag region. “We have the necessary forces to defend our cause and will continue to strengthen our administration,” Dhoore declared. Dhoore, expelled from Puntland’s parliament in 2020 for inciting unrest, has accused Puntland’s leadership of orchestrating his removal from office. He was recently elected Maakhir State’s leader during a political meeting in Mogadishu, which further fueled tensions with Puntland’s central administration. The situation remains tense as diplomatic efforts to defuse the crisis have yet to materialize. -

Ciiro will be a great president and he will serve his country and this time we will hunt our enemies. The duriyad clan now seem to be United and hargeisa is singing and turning orange . For two long others have tried to create friction between brothers. East Burco west burco south hargeisa north hargeisa today we are one. And it is a lie that wadani is leaning towards unity with the bunker never. If that was the case they would have never turn this big . -

Somaliland will go to the polls again for the fourth time they will elect their president by one man one vote. Fourth presidential elections in 21 years time . 2003 2010 2017 2024 if u look at all four presidents have led for 7 years ina rayaale 8 years because he held the position when ina cigaal died in an interim period of a year i think we should make the sl term of presidency a term of 8 years hence u will not have extensions and all of that this time the same contenders as the last elections ciiro wadani kulmiye biixi Waraabe ucid also four other politician organisations will contest to be come the national party this time so far so good it will be close one between biixi and ciiro and this year might be the time ciiro actually might win he gained allot of popularity among the people And also due to the errors of biixi administration on how he handled the laascanood war it might create new hope for change though ciiro one advise for him he needs to get rid of all the ex kulmiye in his camp if he really wants to present him self as a man who wants to change the country he needs to get rid of the likes of xamarjj and discard xirsi once he is president and waabeeye and others we need nee face I even saw the former former monster kulmiye Abdilahi cumar be in wadani we don’t need these cats New fresh people somaliland Guul

You raise valid points with regards to the Galla Prime Minister, Afewerki did give the benefit of the doubt during the peace talks in 2018 i give him that, when relations between the two countries were restored. However, it was indeed Isaias who initiated the border conflict over Badme, positioning his troops deep within what the Ethiopian government then regarded as sovereign Ethiopian territory. In that sense, it was Isaias who fired the first shot. Nevertheless, unable to defend the Badme region, he ultimately accepted the Algiers Agreement. Also Isias needed this war in order to cement his rule in Eritrea he arrested the G15 former EPLF fighters they are now all rotting in Prison some even perished there,, and he also wanted a war with Ethiopia , in order to keep his people pre occupied with an imminent threat from Ethiopia. This sort of no war no peace with Ethiopia gave him all the power to contintue his rule in Eritrea. He knew if there was peace between Eritrea and Ethiopia he had to do some reform or create some sort of constitution or a parliament. But the war Helped him. You are correct that Meles and the TPLF failed to honour the court's verdict, which had ruled in Eritrea's favour, but Isaias was far from innocent he started a war he could not win, and while the conflict ended in a stalemate of sorts, he lost the territory but prevailed in the legal case. However, this is tangential to the real issue at hand. The true question we should ask our selves, and the elephant in the room remains, how will the Ras Doumeira conflict be resolved? It has always been the Asmara dictator who acted as the aggressor. How, then, can there be any hope for long lasting peace and stability? The Arab League has repeatedly called for Eritrea to withdraw from Ras Doumeira, yet they refuse to back down. Until that conflict is resolved, any meaningful relationship between the countries Djibouti and Eritrea will be difficult to establish. -

However, it is ultimately futile, as these Iranian missiles are unlikely to inflict significant damage on Israel, given the formidable protection afforded by its Iron Dome anti-missile defence system. its really pointless if you ask me , not sure why they are wasting resources on this sort of attack. The Iranians and their proxy groups have been thoroughly humiliated by Israel, particularly with the elimination of Xassan Nasrallah and Haniya. The only true means of harming Israel lies in orchestrating attacks akin to those witnessed on the 7th of October. -

Mma ismaciiil is the nephew of abti doon ismaciil father and abtidoon were second cousins ismaciil reer abti. Wa galbeedis folks the Mahad case sub clan to be precise who were actually majority of jabuuuti up to 1960. But the French dumped them on the other side of the border and started the policy to import folks from shinile Ethiopia, there were also a very significant community from gabiley and hargeisa in jabuuuti in the 1950s and 1940s, who also were deported to British somaliland because , they were propagating Somalliweyn the French didn’t want this sentiment. Hence they created the issa and affar territory administration,
